Some serious rain in Allentown…Salty would say that’s good for the snowmaking ponds. I might have to hitch a ride with Ski2Live up to Hunter. -

Sweet report..I have to checkout some of these places..the area you visited is sort of a Bermuda Triangle of places I haven’t been. What kind of rental car do you have? Coeur d’Alene I used to hear about a lot when I lived in Bozeman and a guy I went to college with took a job in Hamilton Montana and Lookout was his local. Gonna look a map of that area. -
Hit on a dry fly definitely counts.

Current forecast for the weekend is rain starting 8 am Saturday and not stopping until 2am Sunday into Monday. If that holds, no way they open. Maybe they can scrape something together for a Friday 10a-6p send off day to say they were open in April

White pass is awesome. I'll post more pics later. Gonna do a few more runs and get ready to head to Spokane. Snow overnight and snowing all day. Only downside is the visibility is terrible so you can't see mount Rainier. -
Enjo's grill was on fire again yesterday. good stuff. skiing was kinda meh, maybe if the weather was a little nicer the score would have gone up, but it was a solid 3.2. it will be super interesting to see what they have in store for this weekend, Main looks finished, Homie stretch has a big dirt stretch in it. Not super impressed with how much snow was left on Vista or Burma. And lower Paradise cant be real good at this point.

Interested for sure to see. It's so warm (70) and humid outside.now. When I look across the valley I can't even see blue. It's a haze. Thursday and Fri are supposed to be like this too. Yes nmdw has a ton of snow but is it enough to get down through homestretch and back to the lift, not to mention from the lift up top to the actual trail? My guess is if they open it's Vista only depending on how the snow fares over there. Either way I'm ok to hang 'em up and embrace camping and hiking weather.

Oh Lordy, I was wondering why you parked at the top. -
Top lodge parking is horrible, it’s all different since I was last there 3 years ago. In the future I’ll get my gas at Wawa and be late instead of getting to the Appalachian trail with 10 miles to empty and realizing the drive up from the lower lot would crush what’s left fuel wise

Was there anything left up top of sidewinder? Looks like no Friday this week. Support your local Amphibian

Ran into @enjoralas in the lodge who informed me that I missed creme brulee day, dammit! As Philly team fans say, "There's always next year..." Had to be carried out both Saturday and Sunday, as the snow softened and the bumps turned HERO. Can barely walk this morning as the legs are just complete @toast21602 Will be interested to see what's in store for the coming weekend, what they can cobble together. Definitely Razor's and Nightweaver have plenty of snow, but the runouts will probably need some Old MacDonald treatment. After the impressive magic they pulled on upper Paradise to get it covered, I'm pretty sure they won't have any problems opening. Where they got the snow for Paradise is a complete mystery.

Nice upgrade from your skis...

Nymphs, leech patterns, and san Juan worms. The big trout I lost in Montana was on a stonefly pattern and had some hits on dry flies -
Near as I could tell, it rolled down the hill on its own. I was on a lift on the opposite ridge when I saw it. I think it was kicked off up high. Then these guys came down after it and it looked like they were sculpting it into a jump. But really, that means that slope needs closing. I don't know why ski patrol wasn't chasing them off. Similar but slightly steeper areas on similar-facing ridges are all closed because of avalanche danger. If this well-pounded slope is shedding sections that way it's not safe. I've been next to an avalanche years back. Missed being hit by seconds.

Rode at lookout pass from 9 to 1...conditions ranged from soft groomers, firm corduroy, and crusty snow in the glades. There looks to be some good access to backcountry areas there. They have a ton of snow, seems to snow there a lot more than Silver which is like 20 minutes away. Fished a little on the way back and now enroute to central Washington. Hanging out at Post Falls Brewing, great beer. Hitting white pass in Washington tomorrow. Possibly 49 degrees north Tuesday although my flight boards at 1 25, so may skip riding and fish/hit a brewery -

Over 300 people skimmed across the pond.

Bittersweet leaving today. I feel like this may be it for the season. Sad for that...but happy that it really was another great season. Thanks for spoiling us again with the food @enjoralas. As for the skiing. Good coverage all things considered. Yesterday took it's toll in spots. Like @GrilledSteezeSandwich said it was probably the quietest that I can recall seeing blue on a weekend. I can't imagine they're making much money so a shout out to Blue for opening up for the pass holders this weekend (and maybe next). Definitely grateful for that
