Jeff sniped me coming out of the woods that gradually became unskiable. They were pretty good until they weren’t!

Crazy melt up there but Tom stuff is the best stuff

I talked to a lady patroller on the gondy who had awesome stories about the traverse out there which makes me sorry it wasn't open. Pony was running and that was super good until the afternoon sun really baked it so I definitely want to get back out and hit Mahogany.

I'm skiing buttermilk tomorrow and am in town all week with my brother if you want to take some laps hit me up. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ After wrecking yesterday I went to the clinic where they pronounced I royally fucked my deltoid which has to be the dumbest injuries ever but I did decide to wash the sand out of my vag and rally at the tbar. The boat was reporting 3 inches new today and with blue skies and warm temps it was a super nice day. I can't really move my right arm at all so while lefty is normal I have to trex righty and hold it up against my body. This brought on much hilarity in things like trying to carry my skis or put my jacket on but it also means I'm no judge of conditions as my wings were clipped. Pow I was super off balance in the transition and just went full straights only, groomers I can only really turn right but fwiw I thought it was super good albeit heavyish snow. The crowds started to show up around noon and I bet the boat can get super crowded but the lines were neglible and I trexed my way down the hill all day with much happiness. For me getting older and having to ski anyway other than how I want is nightmare fuel but I did find even making unbalanced doodle turns at slow for me speeds I still had a great time and enjoyed myself. I'll turn the dial back up as soon as my arm works again but I gotta say I don't fear the reaper so much anymore and I gotta give the boat mad props for that alone.

Jeff, Tom, Dan skied stratton yesterday afternoon. Mostly cloudy spring snow, with just a little mist for out last runs. 12 people were there. Today Jeff, Tom and Dan skied sugarbush and, boy was it wonderful. Soft down low from the start under sunny skies. Coverage is not as good as last year. Castlerock is pretty bare, as well as some other favs. Tom did Tom stuff, which is ski some trees with some hiking all in the same run. Saw some Blue dudes. gate house on our way out. Jeff and Tom hitting the steps on the way out. kmart tomorrow hopefully for a few hours before the rain sets in.

Winter is back here. Got some decent snow. Crickets at Snowmass. Powder stashes all over. Was really nice. started out in sunshine, then clouds and light snow. Buttermilk closes 4/6, Highlands 4/13, Snowmass 4/19 and 4/20 for Aspen Mountain

My wife’s famous chili in the camper for us. Heading to Sierra Tahoe on Saturday. 3 foot of snow on top this week.
-
The beginner hill is right next to it. Our truck is a dually, so it is noticeably more stable in wind than a single rear wheel.
-
lol this gave me a nice chuckle.

Yeah looking at the trail report, it's Mahogany Ridge and closed for the season. I've ridden some of stuff in that section when it was out of bounds but now it's lift served. I think my favorite trees there were Triangle trees and Closets/Shadows, both off storm peak lift. I don't remember most of the trails names there either as I was always following my buddy, who skis crazy fast everywhere.

I skied everything open but I don't pay attention to names so I don't know where I was mostly lol lol I thought the terrain was better than advertised though with low crowds you could really hold speed down the hill which always helps. ‐----------------------------------- I was coming in at the end of the day and did the dumbest, stupidest fucking thing possible. In 30 years of skiing I've never done anything so stupid and that is saying something. Hockey stop pull up to the ski rack and the downhill ski catches and bitch slaps me into the snow. My arm is all janky but I don't think I've ever been so mad at myself. All the fucking skiing I do and I noob beater it pulling up to the rack......absolutely disgusted with myself though up to that point it was perfect spring skiing.

Did you hit the new fish creek section or whatever it's called ? If i knew you were going i would have texted Mr grass sticks

I had dinner at the Ritz at Northstar with my bro in laws crazy family and my parents scolded me for ordering expensive menu items at an expensive restaurant that a multi millionaire was treating us to. Hey they put a lot of time and effort into dry aging a steak and shipping Maine lobster to Tahoe..the least I can do is enjoy some of the fruits of my bro in laws dickhead dads labor, bro in laws little sister also has Fat titties. @C1erArt are you skiing anywhere else?

Skied eldo yesterday and today at steamboat. 10 inches fell yesterday and nobody is home so super fluff all over. A touch thick by CO standards but absolutely spectacular snow by my standards and everything is skiing super fine. No pressure just ski the pow when you feel like it under perfect temps and blue skies, i hotboxed the shit out of every gondy kinda day. CO Spring Supposed to snow and be windy later afternoon otherwise we'll hit up the t bar. Eating in the thunderhead lodge or something and while super impressive it does seem a fuck you to the wind......let's put a mini skyscraper on the high point of a ridge cut down all the trees and build zero wind blocks.....
-
Northstar has the Ritz right ? Love that place just for pre ski breakfast alone, one time my family was having a moment but nothing a Ritz breakfast can't solve. Props on the cross country, truckers on 70 were telling war stories about getting caught in the wind a couple days back and it must have been wild.

Late season this year is dipper which will at least be new. Superstar lift was 87 I think which is old even for a blue chair.
-
Day 68. Third winter continues. A gift of a day as far as snow quality - ankle deep and light - but high winds and equipment issues (mine and the mountain's), along with exhaustion, meant I didn't take full advantage.
-
Not in the last two years. Put the ski budget towards golf, play that year round. I have thought about going out to snowshoe or massanutten but those plans never came to fruition.
-
3/30…cloudy and quiet.

They’re replacing the superstar chair and focusing their late spring skiing in the canyon. Kyle have you skied since you moved to Virginia? -
Superstar lift closes on the 13, wonder if they’re going to try to keep superstar open past that? Doesn’t look like the usual glacier they have this time of year on the webcam.

I love a good Doug lyfe story, its like a zen philosophy. I'm not surprised they are closed but that sucks hairy ballsack.....I think if they want to go late late you either need cooperative weather or like superstar kinda depth

Props to blue on a great season.

I stood at the top of the Falls after my last run on Sunday, a great run down Lazy with no one else around, and great snow, edge to edge coverage which is unheard of for last weekend in March, and I really wanted to take a couple more runs. But then I thought, you know, if that was the last run of my Blue Mountain season, I can live with that memory until November. No regerts.
