Weather channel is forecasting snow for Friday the 2nd. Hopefully areas will be able to open with a bit of fresh. Call Blue and tell them to set up a mini-park for opening weekend. If they hear from enough people that they'll come up on account of them doing this then it could happen. That would be soooo sweeeeet.

Yes, definately people. Send an email or give Blue a call. If they see the extra interest they may let us do something for opening weekend. It would also be a good way for people to find out more about the Freeride programs a couple of weeks before they start... becuase at least one of our coaches will be there at any given time.

We (freeride ski coaches) oficially opened our "private" park this weekend. (2) 90' runs with (1) 20' flat down box and (1) 16' adjustable double-barrell rail. We even had some snow today on the box run. Pics and movies of opening day will be posted shortly. We have been training all summer at Lake Placid and at our park to make sure that the students get the best experience possible!

Blue ALWAYS blows WAY more then necessary on Main Street incase of a thaw, they blow so much, they rarely ever need to blow more on that trail throughout the year. They have enough snow as is to open it, but less snow is lost in rain when it's in piles so they'll be waiting it out. :nana

I'll be there all day. I drove by tonight and they defintely got some nice piles to push after the rain hits this week. We should put together a mini meet-up on Friday. Anyone up for that?

Revision of plans I don't have the money to be there all day. I'll either ride the morning or afternoon session. Depends on who I can get to ride with me, and when.

"Are they charging full price?"

Your best bet is to give the Blue Mt. ticket office a call sometime this week. They are usually there until around 4pm most days. Their number is (610) 826-7700.

Forecast is looking really good from Thursday night on. Hopefully with the current base they have and the return of colder weather they will be able to open by Saturday...
