In the mid nineties i forgot my jacket one morning and bought a hoodie that says est. 1977 so it must be so - i think i'm gonna break it out friday for the celebration!7 points

I'm not sure that this will be sufficient either Mr. DKJ! Ski2argueArgue2live's instruction was clear... Present him with a reputable media outlet article clearly stating that Blue mountain opened in 1977. Without this he will continue to believe that Blue opened in the sixties and 1975. Because that's what the various news articles said. I found this highly official document on meatspin.com This pretty much ends the debate.5 points

I'll probably hit up Blue for 8:30. Look for a skiier with a helmet, jacket, snowpants, gloves, and goggles.3 points

Little gap opened in 1977. It's the same area as Blue Mountain. If I changed my name to Leroy I'd still be 38 years old, I wouldn't start over in age.3 points

That will not suffice. "I am the Walrus" requested the 1977 date in the form of print media only. Try again sir! goo goo ga joob.2 points

Youre such a fucking hater. It really is their 40th anniversary. Most days at Blue mountain there are no lifelines or very short lines. When you show up at the crack of 10 on a mid winter weekend what do you expect? Drive an extra hour to Sno mountain and ride the slow lifts that only go halfway up the mountain if you don't want lifelines.2 points
-
Right. How dare they celebrate a milestone. Hopefully the lines are one person shorter with you counting your pennies and critiquing articles at home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

It marks the year I got a heavily discounted season pass. Something that I'm sure you'd appreciate. Thanks again Blue!2 points

Ignorant gapers think snowboarders are the only ones who use terrain parks and are a menace on the slopes. I bet ski2live gets in people's way perfecting his stem christie..or Chris christie lol1 point

If you don't care when the anniversary is then why did you post this... "I don't understand what 40 years marks. There has been a ski resort there more than 40 years and it has been called Blue less than 40, as it was still Little Gap when I first went there in the early 80's" Word is they're charging full price on Saturday with park features everywhere!!1 point

I heard they widened some parts of lower sidewinder and terrain run but don't quote me. It took too much time and effort to open sidewinder as a park and people were raving about how good it skied without the features last year. I'm happy to see the change.1 point

JohnnyLaw lives in Reading, works in Conshie, and skis at Blue at night. Everyone else needs to quit their bitching...except when Airport Road gets backed up and it takes me 30 minutes to get the BMDI1 point
