I never even went day skiing at Blue mountain until midway through my third season at Blue as all my trips up there were with ski club. I did Day ski my very first time skiing which was at big Boulder and during my second season skiing went to rocking horse ranch with family up near new paltz NY and they had a small ski hill with a rope tow that I hit up while my parents and sister were riding horses. The next season after that was my first big mountain skiing at Windham NY I studied that trail map more than Enjorales practices with his trivia team funny but absolutely positively true..3 points

Seriously and Blue never gives out cocoa and sugar cookies only fine meats and cheeses and November skiing.3 points

I hope they can get snow tubing open by this weekend. They're falling behind Camelback and I don't like it.3 points

Citing main st as 2 trails is like being excited the dealer threw in a fourth wheel on your new car. And to answer your question, if they did GSS would either be hired as social media dude for life or permanently banned, not sure which2 points

Often when night skiing the black diamonds have some of the best conditions because they get the least amount of traffic as most of the school kids are on lazy mile, paradise and the park. On a typical session I try to ski every Main run once and then return back to the ones that are the best. I've had times at Blue where razors edge was so good that I just skied that the entire time same with switchback.2 points

Night skiing on the weekends can mean some craptastic conditions. If given the choice I'll always go first thing when I'm fresh but on work days no choice but to make night moves. You should start a roll call thread to see if anybody else is at Blue Saturday night.2 points

They were confident enough to take groomers on Home Stretch and push Valley School - I'd be surprised if they lost *everything* there or on Vista. Heck, Vista is still a solid foot thick everywhere. If they skip over upper Main St. In favor of Tut's, Lazy, Home Stretch things look very different than if they first rework Midway, Come Around, Lower Main and Easy Out. Yeah, just look for a good deal. I liked the Vokls when I demo'd them in the RTM84, and I liked the Rossi E88 HD and the E84 HD. I waited for a good deal on either the E88 or RTM84, and ended up paying just over $400 for a demo set of the E88 at Camel's demo sale this past spring. February 21, 2018 Buckman's is sponsoring a Demo and Customer Appreciation Day at Blue. Come out then and test drive a bunch of skis for free. Usually can get a discounted lift ticket at Buckman's too.1 point

You really skied with no poles??? My hands have never hurt me from using poles. Heres the final video of the night. Me and Johnny style skiing the elevator at Jack Frost and yes it's steeper than white lightning probably 35 degrees at the crux1 point

Hit up Frost when they've got some decent cover. They have glades all over the mountain ranging from handicap ramp pitch to pucker-yer-asshole steep. I'm just starting on tree skiing myself. Looking forward to checking some out while out in Steamboat.1 point

Try the Slalom glades to the right of upper nosedive they are good mellow glares with widely spaced trees..when skiing glades you ski between the trees..this is being being a herb at Jackson hole in the Bivoac woods.1 point

Main Street is divided into upper Main Street and lower Main Street along with Barneys bumps. Here's a good combination..ski skytop then skate up to tuts lane..take connector to the woods next to Main Street I think sleepy hollow to X-ing which is a black diamond across upper Main Street over to switchback then through the woods to lazy mile across lazy mile into the woods to the lower marquee route down across crossover to challenge then before the falls hang a left onto lower sidewinder across to Central Park and into lower park...1 point

Ski Camelback during the day leave early enough to get the lunch price at Chinese buffet..write report..go to Star Wars at night buy $8.50 medium popcorn and $6 Dr. Pepper..and clap after every preview!!!1 point

Heck they'll be open next week just like everywhere else from North Carolina to the North Pole...wahahahah1 point

I would guess that Upper Main and Lazy will run simultaneously and open within a day or two of each other - but we're all guessing based on what Blue's done in the past. I meant to propose the most agressive and most conservative options I saw. Sent from my R1 HD using Tapatalk1 point

They aren't gonna skip over upper Main don't worry because if they get upper Main open then they actually can up the trail count by two adding Barneys bumps as well.1 point
