Thanks everyone for the kind words today was super dope, one of my best ski days ever. Injuries are never fun and not skiing sucks hairy donkey dick. I never doubted I'd ski this year but not drinking at 1030am and hanging out with you losers adds some extra suck. Snow today was excellent and paradise/challenge were a sweet bonus. It's most excellent to be back.3 points

Hey All, I'm back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. When I arrived at 7:25am it was around 29 degrees under overcast sky's and the guns were turned off due to the moist and warmish weather. In the house were JFBBDan, Matt Edge, TP4, Ryan, Enjorales, Enjorales Dad, Johnny Law, PARidge, MBike Mike, Atomic Jeff, TP4, Shadows, NMSki, Atomic Jeff, Root, Toast, Slim, GahSkier George, Pheong, Natasha, Leroy and Harry..also a couple Gary's. First civilian chair again and I began the day skiing on Matt Edge Rossi 88s which I had fun on a few seasons ago. I also skied a run on Atomic jeffs Kastles..and was back on the shiros for several runs as well to mix things up. First run on challenge was better than yesterday the cookies and snow dried out a little and wasn't quite as firm but was still lipstick on a pig as it cookied up later. Paradise was also better than yesterday good for a few runs. Lazy mile and both Main streets continued to have the best conditions and were some runs not to busy and some runs crazy. No lifelines but a decent amount of people and blue is selling a good amount of tickets and tubers out as well enjoying the mild December day..gosh in the lot it was downright warm and Enjorales served up Bratwurst, pork and beef and all very good...had some good beers and was on my way home by 1230pm..as ice cube once said..Today was a good day!!!1 point

Is somebody going to step up and keep track of all the times SaltBag threatens to leave like we have done with Doug in the past?1 point

Nah, I had to do Christmas shit. I shop for gifts like the Germans invade Poland: fast, ruthless, and accompanied by strategically-coordinated air support. Not the last part. Ruthless, tho.1 point

“Blue mountain the true mountain” cannot be revised. (I.e., cb the true mountain is a complete rip off). In lieu of your (lost) gift card, please donate to charity or pet a couple of stray cats/dogs1 point

You started the rad tags and one day I'll forget to tag Blue rad. How was Camelback today??? Closest Chinese buffet to Blue is likely Sakura buffet in Whitehall by the worlds most ghetto fabulous CiCis pizza buffet. I made the most of this weekend as next weekend I'll be in Virginia visiting family but then I have 7 straight days at Blue and it's gonna be good!!!! i sometimes forget people who were in attendance. If I forget to give PARidge a shoutout he calls me out on that.1 point

Nice report. I'm always impressed you remember everyone's name who attends. It's getting kind of lonely over at Camelback... is it February yet? Are there any good Chinese buffets near Blue? That's funny that you tag every TR with "rad".1 point

Sorry to hear that. I left my old district after 17 years. It was the best thing I ever did.1 point

Hey All, I'm back from a fun Saturday at Camelback mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lot around 728AM and also in the house were many others. I woke up around 606AM, and as I made my way eastward on I-80, I experienced a legit defcon level one crisis. I realized I would not make FirstTrax(tm)(c)(r) on time, and would miss out on all that fresh cord. Unfortunately, I had miscalculated my wake-up time and ended up a whopping 8 minutes late for FirstTrax. The saving grace, however, was that fellow elites (Camelback season passholders) were kind enough to save some fresh cord for old saltyant, so I didn't miss out entirely. But it was still a truly devastating blow. The walk from car to lift was also agonizingly long and brutal after being spoiled from Blue's short walking distance. Early morning skiing conditions were top notch. They remembered to groom all 6 trails. The snow wasn't exactly the fluffy powder that I was expecting, but it was nice to finally ski on packed powder. I decided to see how fast I could go after blazing down Blue's trails on Wednesday evening with actual slalom skiers. I broke my personal record on Marjie's and hit 49.9 mph. Wow! I'm not sure I can break the 50 mph barrier, but I came damn close to my lifetime goal with that run. I also tried speeding in the slow zone on Meadows to see if I would get a ticket from the cops, like everyone claimed I would. Despite several lightning fast runs down Tuts and into Meadows, I did not get pulled over even once, therefore concluding that this claim is definitely an old wives tale and urban legend. As the day progressed, the crowd grew but never got overwhelmingly large. The lift line was almost always a short wait, and I figured out how to maximize run efficiency by going in the singles line on the far left of the queue area. However, every single trail turned to a sheet of ice by late afternoon, especially Marjie's. My poor Elon skis just could not get any traction, and I ended up skidding down Marjie's most of the day. I also got to ski some glades (between 2 trees) and literally became an expert skier. I decided to call it a day around 327PM after a prolonged lift stop because the lift got tired and needed to nap for about 15 minutes. I made a total of 47 runs today and 26,687 feet of vertical descent. The weekend ahead looks truly promising. Rumors were circulating all day long that they might get another trail open next week. A worker told me that the water supply for snowmaking is dwindling, so once they find some water they will be able to get another trail open. This wonderful news amplified stoke levels across the mountain by over 9000. I will likely head back to Camelback tomorrow morning to hit some more FirstTrax early on before conditions get slick again.1 point

Elk has lots of benefits. Better climate, less traffic, and conditions that generally hold up better to traffic... Looks good. Enjoy the early season. Everything before Christmas is normal... I mean, a bonus.1 point
