spent two hours at nestors earlier today. Almost bought chronics but wanted to look around online a lil more.4 points

Closing at 1pm today. Not that it matters. Also, if you don't have a season pass to Blue and utilize the VIP line, you really have no reason to comment on the effectiveness.4 points

OK but you do see how calling Blue's VIP line management a disappointment and how talking about your high hopes for it, when you're 1) not a pass holder and 2) have ever seen the benefits of it given your limited days there can be off-putting to people who ski / love Blue don't you? Your "observations" are based on a mid week evening in December. Go MLK Sunday at 10 or 11 then tell us what your observations are before deeming it a disappointment. Honestly Salty I'm not trying to pick a fight. I'm trying to point out what's been rubbing people the wrong way about some of your posts as I genuinely believe you're a nice guy. I've been around here a while though. Being a great skier isn't what earns you a reputation. Being cool and not posting from your high horse (albeit with limited experience) does.4 points

Why are you, a Camelback passholder, "disappointed" at Blue's VIP system? You are unable to, nor have you ever used it. There's zero for you to be disappointed about...Or are you just trying to get people riled up?4 points

Since you're still a n00b, I'd stick with something with a smaller radius to help you learn to arc turns at slower speeds. Nothing more than 17m. I think you need a ski between what you have an Kendo's...it's a little too stiff for you I think.3 points

fill me in again on why the VIP line makes you act like an immature child throwing a tantrum?3 points

Sit on it!!! VIP will be resolved this is the busiest December Blue has ever had.3 points

Yeah, that's why I chimed in to Salty. If you're a slower skier who can't yet go into the bumps and ditches, crowded trails can get a little nerve-wracking. Everyone has their comfort level, of course. He's agonizing over hypotheticals; you know that when the Blue season pass offer rolls around in February, hell go for it. I'll supply parking lot beer for the entire month of March if it that's not true.3 points

Y'all need to calm down with the VIP line issue. Yesterday's crowd didn't warrant them getting an attendant out. The line was constantly moving and wasn't even a 5 minute wait the entire day. When it gets REALLY crowded, they'll get an attendant out and that's when the VIP line will be in effect. Looked like they blew all over the mountain yesterday and the snow was pretty good all over, except for under the fan guns they still had running, which were spraying almost straight water. Poor Rodney went under one at the bottom of Paradise and his skis stuck to the snow but he didn't. Word is he double ejected and landed pretty hard on his ribs. Hope is all right. He ended up leaving short after. SP finally got sticks out and they even brought up a groomer to grind in the wet snow. We also watched as the gun at the bottom of Sidewinder caught people as well. Be wary of snow guns!3 points

Yesterday on home stretch I saw some guy with a GoPro lying on the snow after taking a spill. I felt bad for him but all I could notice what the red light eminating from his head. The worst was when I fell on Cannonball (Montage) last year. The ranger said if I fall again I lose my GoPro privileges.2 points

And that's why Ridge was admitted onto my chair and your application is....pending. I'm just goofing around, GSS. Too much rain, and at least another three days of not skiing. A girl has to entertain herself somehow!2 points

Galileo was great at observing things too and he got a ton of likes. Well, eventually.2 points

He needs to tighten his GoPro screw. Maybe Salty can give him some pointers.2 points

What makes this post even more hilarious is that I can see you pulling over on the way to Virginia to download a Fonzi meme just to make that point. I'm literally laughing my ass off2 points

I find that on crazy weekends (MLK/Prez) when the citizens line is nuts the slopes get to a point where uphill capacity gets saturated and the traffic on the hill levels off. I never found it intimidating traffic wise.also helps if you play in bumps/trail sides and the stunt ditches. Typicality VIP line gets you 3-4 runs vs citizen’s line during peak times. Awesome awesome set up2 points

100% my fault; I've been working online all day and playing around here for recreation in between bouts of grading. So, Blue was good yesterday and I met some PASRs and they were nice and it was fun.1 point

I'm going out tomorrow morning. Based on conversations with Steeze, the snow should be fast and soft after today's rain.1 point

@saltyant it sounds like you and I are probably of similar ability and skiing experience. I find that when the VIP line becomes a necessity it's then so crowded on the trails that I usually go home. You get a couple of really good hours on weekends before it gets to that point, though. I love Blue, and them being open until 10pm on weeknights means it's easy to avoid crowds and still get a lot of skiing in. Camelback is good at opening lifts as crowds increase so that you can sort of work your way across the mountain avoiding the lines at the high-speed lifts. But I never go to CBK unless I get a free pass from work and and I really want to ski on a Saturday, because I just find the trails kind of meh. And short. The February season pass deal from Blue is awesome. If you want to ski a lot, get it. (This year I got fancy and got a MAX pass so I could go to the Catskills and New England on weekends and school breaks. I should get my money's worth out of it easily, but we'll see how all the driving and paying for AirBnBs go. I'm just trying to ski a lot so I can get better as fast as possible).1 point

The dedicated VIP line was there last weekend (on the left side)? Maybe they're not putting it up on weekdays? I bet it'll be there next week.1 point

I think we were more singing to him than heckling. We were actually booted for sneaking into the field box area. Usher wouldn't let us use the exit; made us climb back up the railing we had snuck under. This was to the absolute, profanity-laden delight of all the late inning drunk fans.1 point
