I'm also seeing a women's forum on the side. When the trash talk here gets rough and discussions of eating meat and pooping threaten to send me to the fainting couch, I go there for nurturing and uplifting commentary delivered with multi-layered emotional intelligence and tact. Nah, just kidding, we mostly talk about boys, shoes, and how hard math is.3 points

I was going to say catch the 40 on all lifts but I like your idea better I still want to bring a jar of pickled eggs in my jacket and nonchalantly open the jar and offer them to strangers on the 6-pack3 points

Just arrived. 22 degrees as I make my ascent to the peak of the mighty Mt. Bluelympus. Snow looks good. Crowds are minimal. Rush playing at the base. Even got a complement on my goggles for some reason. Should be a solid evening sesh!2 points

I figure if you make the effort to track me down then you've earned the information. If anyone wants to stalk an aging cat lady with basically two lifetime accomplishments, then rock on. (1. an impressive and quite accurate jump shot and 2. A high level of skill at parallel parking).2 points

Not as of yet, but the middle third of Barney's is very tame and a good place for beginners to learn.2 points

Constantly skiing Cameltoe's slopes over and over will not make you a better skier. It's like lifting the same weight and expecting to get bigger muscles. You need to up your terrain difficulty to improve or forever be an low-level intermediate. Get your ass in the bumps and take your skiing ability to the next level! Remember, it's not that you can't ski bumps. It's that you can't ski and the bumps just prove it.2 points

His dad wasn't the company's founder, either. But, what does it matter? It's easier to run a business into the ground than keep it profitable and constantly growing. There is no need to hate on family members who take over family businesses.2 points

Thanks tarponhead for always encouraging me to make runs that are three levels of difficulty beyond my ability. I guess the best way to advance is just dive right into the hardest runs in the world.2 points

At least 5. You can see a little red line going up from that green spot at the bottom of those trails. It would be different to actually have to take 2 lifts to access the whole mountain as opposed to the 6pack and/or quad taking you basically everywhere right now.1 point

Does anyone remember Camelback offered free admission after the mountain you had a pass to closed? About 8 years ago? Took full advantage.1 point

Toast is a professor and has a long winter break and I'm at work today..I couldn't take off and ski today anyway as the office manager is off. I'm not independently wealthy..I need every paycheck I get. If you wanna start a monument company in Hazleton be my guest..we barely do any work in that area because there's not much population and it's pretty poor. We do the best in the Lehigh valley, philly area and all of New Jersey...I wouldn't recommend getting into this business...the death rate is on the decline and the cremation rate is on the rise so less and less people are buying memorial stones..the only reason we are doing well is that we keep expanding our market share.1 point

When skis were straight and pants were pink! Bumps are bumps! The more, the merrier! On snow, on women, doesn't make a difference!1 point

DW isn't bumped up yet. On days with soft snow, Challenge gets bumped up late in the day, as does main st. Can be a little less intimidating than Barney's.1 point

As soon as CB makes some moguls in late March then I'll advance from a low-low level intermediate to a mid-low level intermediate. Then I will be skiing.1 point

Oh wow... I sent them an email, and got a response today saying that the issue was discussed with the staff, and I can come again to finish the Navigator. Now, why couldn't they just say the same while I was there?1 point

Snow is good at Blue tonight. Sidewinder and Lazy are the best. Scrapey in places, yeah, but the snow improved things. I hear it was freezing rain for a bit this afternoon; was snowing when I got hete at 21 point

That's a choice, not your destiny. It's easy to become a competent intermediate; It takes a shitload of work to get off that plateau and become a really good skier. I'm still stuck, and I work like hell. I'm at Blue right now giving my legs a break. Blame the conditions if you want, but look around at all the people styling that icy hardpack. I want to be like them. I look forward to skiing with you someday; we can commiserate!1 point

Im a look/rossi fan as well. I think only an alien would want to put a demo binding on a new ski. That makes no sense to me. It doesnt make much sense to me either that you are going to buy this ski, but you really want the wider one. Whatever. Jlaws comment is priceless.1 point

Monster 83, 177 for $330. I'd go for the one I tried, i.e. 88, but that comes $200-$300 more no matter where you look. And this looks like a steal, really allowing me to just get it and continue lazily testing/looking for other interesting stuff.1 point
