Yeah. Nice conditions. Actually skied the bumps which is a rarity. Only had time for a short session. Thay plus the lines were backed up from the chair to the turnstiles at both the quad and the six and I honestly didn't feel like dealing with it again. Only saw Matt edge and VT mark. Awesome. It was a bit more crowded than expected this morning as well. Ski clubs are consuming the evening and night sessions now. Also, I took this from my helicopter today.3 points

I was digging your report until the childish comment. Broken record? How many times have you made comments chastising people on wide skis? Comfy circles? I'm willing to bet that most of the posters that you're referring to in your comment have skied more places around the country (or countries) than the majority of skiers you'll meet. Season pass vs no season pass. Narrow vs wide. Who cares? Different strokes and all that.3 points

Hey all, I'm back from a fun night session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived in the lower lot at 645pm and it was jam packed with cars..the temperature was in the low to mid 40s. In the house were TP4, VTMark, Atomic Jeff, Matt Edge, NMSki, Salty, Johnny Law, Eaf, 15 bus loads of kids and about 1,000 people who took advantage of the $12..4 hour lift ticket. PARidge was also in the house but I didn't see him. Liftlines were about 5+ minutes on the six pack and a tad less on the quad which matt edge calls the Razors lift. Conditions were wet loose granular..was pretty pleasent ski conditions. After 4-5 runs in Razors and nightmare dreamweaver I was riding the quad with Eaf, Salty and Atomic Jeff and had that feeling halfway up the lift that i had the beginnings of a stage four deuce..I even had a bit of extra sweat which felt chilly in the breeze so high tailed it down Razors into the men's room which luckily had an empty stall. Did my business..was thoroughly sweaty went back up quad didn't see anybody then caught up with matt edge at the bottom and the rest shortly thereafter. Ended the session with all Razors runs it was the run with the least amount of people..I like that Razors hasn't been closed much so far this season during night skiing times. Guitar was also in the house in his race clinic but I didn't see him. We then went into the lot around 9:15 and had a nice night time tailgate. There was even a badass BMW 5 series wagon with an 8 cylinder engine that revved engine for us and a big diesal truck that was loud AF..I didn't leave until 1025pm and it was raining and foggy on the way home. Was a session that began kind of meh with the crowds but crowds but ended nicely as the crowds cleared out and the PASRs united for full six packs. I also heard there was a either a large drone or small plane at Blue mountain today..that's some weird wild stuff..in the lot there were warm and cool breezes.. JADIP2 points

Skiers far right is Tower 3 chute. I skied it with a cracked out guy from Stevens Pass that wanted a tour. GSS left me alone with this nut job while he went in to get something to drink.2 points

Frankly, every time when that Princeton ski club posts a trip, it ends up costing more than if I just went there by myself or with friends. Plus I'm antisocial. So no, there is just a group of 3.2 points

Im actually not at all, it takes a large snow pack to cover rocks that are 50-80" tall or larger in the summer though. Skiing a full season at a large resort will change the way you look at everything, at the beginning of the season you think "there is no way that whole rock/cliff ban will fill in", by the end of the season you have completely forgotten about that rock/cliff ban until it starts to melt out again. Hell go hike around at Blue in the summer, you will realize what a 48" base really covers.2 points

Oh, you're so full of yourself. Have you ever skied Alps? I'll go now and put a bunch of thanks to GSS's post who actually took some time to explain what's going on.2 points

I have the same musical tastes as most teenage girls. My favorite was when Atomic Jeff was blasting the same Taylor swift song for a couple hours on gaper day..2 points

Because the insane amount of snow has been on the upper mountain..below mid mountain there hasn't been a lot of snow. Big difference between the summit at 10,450 feet and the base at 6300. This next storm should have most terrain open for this weekend. Usually by our trip in late January they are just getting the last things open like Saratoga bowl. The Hobacks usually opens around now.2 points

6" more last 24. 10-14" next 24. This is the storm cycle that opens up the lower faces / hobacks.2 points

I don't wanna ride a slow connector lift, I don't want to use a stand up gondola, I don't want to have to park in Kansas, I don't want to drive 2 hours to ski an inferior place to what I have a half hour away, I don't want to ski in jersey unless it's indoors or involves doing lines off a strippers tits in the backroom of the Bada Bing nightclub..and Bruce Springsteen sucks..I mean his songs are ok, if you're in the mood to cut yourself.2 points

Yeah, sorry, I'll pass even if it's a free lift ticket. MC is only 40 minutes away from me but I'd rather take the longer drive to Blue, Shawnee or up into the Catskills. I'd pay to ski Camelback before I'd ski MC for free. I grew up skiing at Mountain Creek, only back then it was called Vernon Valley/Great Gorge. I have some great memories skiing with my dad and brother there. There's gotta be a good reason why that place changes ownership every few years. Intrawest killed that place by trying to make it a mini Stratton (village).1 point

How old is your daughter? Anyway I never knew MC was better than blue..all the NJ plates at Blue mountain must not have seen the light.1 point

Mmmm. I actually like Killington. Taking a trip there at the end of the month. Camelback, not so much. Except when it was free 🙂1 point

Trish over at Pug is NOT charmed by my sense of humor and has attacked me on the women-only forum as well. All fair enough, I reckon. If you're going to joke around a lot, there will occasionally be stuff that doesn't land well and you have to accept Responsibility for that. I do think she assumed malice where it wasn't at all evident, though, and resorted to a public shaming rather than beginning with a private conversation. It's for that that I won't forgive her.1 point
