  2. You get a foot at Stowe Wednesday then consider punting on K Thursday or plan on a short day at K thursday. Don’t waste a powder day by leaving early to maintain a itinerary. Enjoy And for fucks sake ski Bolton tomorrow

  3. This is the official 2018 Stowe stoke thread. My plan is to ski Stowe 2/5 - 2/7, and then Killington 2/8 - 2/9. I've never been to Stowe before so it is going to be so rad. I threw in Killington too because I went there for the first time last season and it was one of the funnest weeks of my entire life, so I'm going back to ski some trails I missed last year. Looks like ample freshies are in bound, and I will probably be getting buried in the perder. Thankfully I have my RTMs this week which are the perfect powder ski. It seems I hit the weather jackpot once again, since last year the conditions were also out of this world (just like outer limits, my favorite trail).

  6. Good: NMSki always smiling Bad: NMSki always farting Ugly: NMSki wearing towel like a turbin..every time I would go to jeffs room for post skiing beers NMSki would answer the door and immediately slam the door after saying,"we have enough towels" culminating with him coming over throwing four towels in Atomic jeffs face with one ending up in the toilet.

  7. Good: Letting Nastar Glenn pick a song to listen to in the Kardashian mobile. Bad: He chose Tom Pettys Learning To Fly that we didn't even know the words to Ugly: Nastar Glenn pouring a beer..he said his hands were shaking with excitement from the first day..

  11. I loved the park on sidewinder and was a little let down by the parks overall tonight. Did they move that park to another trail and I'm unaware? GSS, Bought a condo and snowboarding had to go for a little. Helped my niece and nephew thrus night at Spring and got bite by the bug, HARD. lol. Lol Toast I'm disappointed, I stop lurking for a couple years and you stop riding park. What's up man? Haha. But yea the first 3 rails on the left hand side were great.

  12. What's up all. Pulled into the lot at about 345 and somehow managed to get a decent spot in the lower lot. Was on the lift by about 415ish and proceeded to put in 12 runs and was pulling out of the lot at about 715. You all know the conditions for a typical Saturday night so I'll save ya. Lift lines were all but nonexistent by about 6 plus being a single helps too. When did sidewinder turn into a non terrain park? The back to back down bar and DFD kink in the lower park was awesome and exactly what I needed. Lol. Just have to say it felt AMAZING to be back on the snow for the first time in 2 seasons. I hope to make it up once a week for the rest of the season. Crossing my fingers my board stays together

  16. This was my first evening with the school ski club and the ride up was a bit spicy because the elderly 9-passenger vans we have to drive kept getting buffeted by strong wind gusts. With about three inches of play in the steering column, I'm glad we managed to stay in our own lane. On the mountain, though, there was hardly any wind and it was really comfortable if you were bundled up properly. The snow was non-awesome but far from the worst I've seen. Lots of granular over ice patches, but some nice stretches of decent snow as well. Pharaoh into Bactrian was the run of the evening; according to a ski patroller, it opened late today (2pm) so hadn't seen the scrapey-offy traffic that the other trails had. Rhodo-Glen and Pocono Raceway were outstanding as well. Nile Mile was underwhelming--too much ice to be really fun. Liftlines were never more than three or four chairs deep. The lodge was crowded with school kids, but not uncomfortably so. Just lots of Middle School energy all over the place. I stopped skiing around 7-ish I think, so a solid two hours. The kids were fading from the cold and the ice and wanted to leave early, so I drove half the group home.

  17. They give our club 15 free passes for us to use any time, and they don't generally get used up by our staff so if it's March, I may have passes to share.

  19. Great! I nominate myself as the official 2017-2018 PASR day at Camelback Mountain. Later in February or in March, I will post one random Sunday as PASR Camelback day. I predict we will have at least 50 attendees.

  20. Awesome. I didn't know you ski Camelback. We really need to do a PASR Camelback day since so many PASR posters ski there. So far I think we can get you, SallyCat, Ski2Live, eaf, and Enjorales. I think TP4 might be interested also because he mentioned to me that he likes Camelback.

  22. Bolton has over 2/3 of its terrain open and just received 4-5" plus lift tickets are prettt cheap there and there won't be liftlines and it's also halfway between stowe and Burlington. Plenty of time for sightseeing after skiing

  26. Honestly if it weren't for Hotronics and this thing, http://www.facesavermask.com/ I wouldn't either. The Face Saver mask doesn't look like much, but it's a game changer. No goggle fogging and no 'clava getting soaking wet from condensation. And it's like $16

  30. I heard a good story from Dennis about one of the wallets..he's a bigger gossip than me and Shoshanna combined..Shoshanna is my homegirl she's black and Jewish had fried chicken at her Bat Mitzvah..anyway Dennis said the old almost daily wallet has a crush on one of the fine young female ski instructors so he often takes her heli skiing and not only does he pay for her as a heli ski guide/instructor companion/arm candy he has to pay Jackson hole mountain resort $800 to make up for their lost revenue for the day as she'd normally guide the wallets down Lupine way and and get sprayed by NMSkis skis. Dennis said the old guy who's probably late 70s..might toss the ski babe extra for what he said was massage and release..then he went on to describe how the girls in his hot yoga class have different body types, how he's the teachers pet in yoga and how he gets hit on by gay guys and when I responded gay guys never hit on me because I'm fat he instantly said well since I lost the last 5 pounds he's been hit on even more..oh Lordy then I skied 7 runs of powder and had Pasta bolognese..

  31. I hadn’t had a chance to post this story until jus now, so I apologize to anyone who has already heard it. On day 3 in Jackson we were waiting in line for the first gondola and I was right behind a big burly guy with a bushy red moustache. I came to find out that this was the same guy that almost kicked Doug’s ass a couple years ago for questioning the local line etiquette. This dude was very aggro, hollering at a fat guy with a cup of coffee who was one of the wallets that ski from 8 to 8:45 am, “no food or drink on the gondy, chump!”, as well as several other funny things. I chatted with him a bit and he was real pissed that the lift attendant was letting some wallets through after 8:45. He screamed at her about this, so she began to enforce the rule. The next group that attempted to come through the gate, she very professionally stopped them and said they couldn’t board until 9. Just then, the burly guy noticed something and said, “oh shit, that’s the one guy that can do anything he wants here, she’s in deep shit”. Jeff was able to read the monitor on the rfid turnstile which read “Tommy Moe - Victor, Idaho”. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  33. Salty have a great trip to Vermont. Stowe is the best ski resort east of the Rockies and it looks like it's gonna snow there. Will be good practice for Verbier in 2019..according to Eaf the 81 RTM might be too fat but I think they are perfect.

  36. I think he meant in town, so no worries about apres, but I know from reading reports in the past that there is also a bus the goes to the mountain from town. With these guys though, you know they are going to want a car to make sure they can be there for first gondi every morning and not have to rely on a bus

  37. Yeah, that's just how this stuff works. Just for having their credit card I get one free bag on American, and so do four people as long as their itenerary is linked to mine. Don't even have to buy my ticket using the credit card, just for having it linked in my profile.

  38. Thanks for the offer, Barb, super generous of you to offer. But as Doug said Our tickets are included because we glommed on to a group trio with a guy I with. Couldn't beat the deal.

  42. Interestingly enough, there was a late season snow years ago. JFBB was closed, so i went to Camelback. i left lots of fluffy snow in Albrightsville (1800 ft) to find heavy wet sierra cement at Camelback. So, the moral of the story is, Camelback can even fuck up the weather.

  44. Exactly. I did buy a MTB pass because I'll definitely get my money's worth out of that before I split. Had a Skype interview with a school in Sun Valley, ID. Not sure how it went. They laughed at a joke I made about Nazis, but I'm not sure that was a wise rhetorical course of action. Also Skype is awkward; it takes everything that's awesome about a phone call and ruins it.
