I'll know more on Friday. Ortho visit on Tues was mostly good news but I have a (hopefully last) follow up on Fri in which I'll know more then. If I had to guess I'm probably sitting out the rest of Feb at least. All things considered I'm definitely not complaining.8 points

Not sure about those, but word is all other parties on this site have conceded to you in the "Runs Intentionally Negotiated Without Skis" category. I heard Doug is already working on commissioning the tiara for presentation on Gaper Day.5 points

Definitely. Honestly motivated more than anything to get my daughter out a few more times. I promised that I'd take her someplace outside of PA (Belle or Hunter) and definitely want to make good on that.5 points

Hey All, I'm back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 525pm and matt edge and atomic jeff were already in the house. I fixed some loose screws and was out on the snow. Had a perpetual IPA the quad ride up in the mid 50s temperatures. First run barneys bumps which were pretty nice to lower Main Street which was variable from nice spring snow to crud to harpack. We were then joined by zach who gave me a bells two hearted lift beer..didn't go down as easily as the Perpetual but I finished it before the garbage can. We did sidewinder which was nice spring snow until the last section which was pretty rough and the falls was spicy. One run while passing lazy mile on the six pack a snowball whizzed right by my head..I figured there would be some drama but after going down a lightning fast lazy the perpetrators were gone. Skied chute as well which was glacial ice..on another lazy run sparks were flying off zacks skis..we were then joined by Johnny law and a few runs later matt edge was challenged to race a snowboard dude and he almost lost as snowboard dude was at least 20 yards in front of Edge near the bottom of challenge but snowboarder wiped out and slid off the trail right before the falls and Edge got the win!!! Was great to see..challenge was variable AF!!! Around 745PM the radar showed rain over hazleton..and by the top of the lift it was raining..skied two more runs including more barneys and also paradise and had another beer in the lot..peaced out. Considering the temperatures the snow was faster and more winterlike than expected and lift lines were almost non existent a minute at the most despite over 20 buses..JADIP!! amazing that 2.5 hours after this picture was taken it was pouring.4 points

Seriously, you are far safer with your skis on then off. Learn falling leaf or some shit like that. On ice taking off skis is lethal3 points

Last day. Skied Blackcomb all day again. We went out last night and got turnt AF. So started slow and got on the snow at 9:30. Took it easy and only skied double blacks today since snow was best up in alpine. Started with Couloir Extreme and dropped into Jersey Cream bowl again. After that we headed back to the glacier to scope out some potential lines from the bottom. We wanted to hit Spanky’s Ladder and drop down into some different routes. The hike in was super sketchy bootpack but worse, it was just like a toe pack. Once in, we dropped into Garnet Bowl and then skied another chute into Diamond Bowl and out. We ended up hiking in 3 times and taking different runs each time. I can’t remember the rest of the names. Maybe Ruby Bowl, Zut Zut, and Wild Ride. Probably some of the gnarliest terrain I’ve skied. Not many pics today, and those that we do have don’t do it justice, it was just Kevin and I out in these areas. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

This work week is the suck..first full week of work in a month and I'm already thinking about the weekend skiing the fun runs at Blue mountain the true mountain with the PASRs and Blue regulars followed by outstanding people watching and beer drinking in the parking lot. Anybody gonna be at Blue this weekend?? Looks like possible sunshine and by golly JFDans prediction of possible overnight snow Saturday night might just come true...like Blind Melons song..no Rain!!1 point

You get a locker or you wear a waterproof fanny pack..you wanna try the zip line and mountain coaster with me, matt edge and a nastar Glenn this summer. Do they still have the bumper boats? I'll buy you a Shirley temple afterwards1 point

Good: Getting five us in the Kardashian mobile by 720am on day 3..pow pow day when Nastar glenn was so excited he was shaking. Bad: ticket office not open yet and lady gave MBike Mike a hard time because his blue pass didn't have a date on it. Ugly: All the snow stuck to Nastar Glenn's boot and the smell of shit at the top of the Marmot chair...1 point

You had all the glory back in the day But now a rookie and underdog is on place to take the championship this year!!! That's ok, I wrote them all down using a pencil and paper so I can upload them again. My hand is cramped from all the writing and I had to resharpen my #2 pencil 3 times, But I prevailed1 point

Must be a pretty slow weather day. I think that map is pretty aggressive. Would be nice, but........ the only constant is that it appears Blue is in the sweet spot as far as snow.1 point

Tram 645-7...gondola 730-8am. The gondola opened at 915am today and the Tram at 935am..that's pretty fast avalanche mitigation work by the JH ski patrol. On the 22" day me and atomic jeff had two seasons ago we took the 655am bus and were on the second Tram when it opened after 10am but had the best run of our lives 4100 vert of top to bottom powder right to the base..1 point

Ill be up sometime on Saturday. Got a new board so I'm stoked! Might even head up for first chairs then double back later at night with my brother-in-law and nephew. Ridge- That's strong motivation to have from your daughter, but like Toast said be careful rushing back too soon. Best of luck with your comeback!1 point

Almost as funny as when Atomic Jeff told the patrollers last night blocking the six pack cattle chutes that they need lessons.1 point

first run down it this morning snow was not bad,But they need to get rid of that course. It ruined a Great Trail.1 point

That’s the kind of shit people think is annoying as fuck. I mean, you do you, but don’t whine people don’t like you after the fact.1 point

I'm in favor of bumps on the chute..it provides steeper bumps than barneys and also makes Main Street safer because it's one less route of aggro beginners flying down into the middle of Main Street.1 point

yep! surfing the fluffy bump tops was hoot too if you could stay out of the glacial troughs. Fun family night!1 point

Much better conditions than expected. Packed powder changing to buttery sugar as the sun softened the surface. There were a few ice flows on the upper connector trails. All of the mogul trails were groomed, so no ice. Most of the trails had a fresh coating of snow from the overnight snowmaking. If you're worried about the conditions, don't! Wednesday will be even better. Elks' grooming always amazes me. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk1 point
