She's BMA, her mom is her coach and confidant, she's one of the best slalom skiers of all time. All of those things are a powerful indicator of a certain dis attachment from the regular social world. Think Olympic gymnasts, you spend your life in the gym and training so I don't doubt at all that she has no idea what netflix and chill is. All of that aside I would walk through 600miles of broken glass and lego's to smell her farts. She's the keeper you bring home to mom, Vonn is crazy, like legit crazy so I'm sure she fucks like a banshee on crystal meth but she'll ruin your life. Lara Gut is probably the best mix of the two but she's Swiss and speaks like 14 different languages so out of everyone's league except maybe Matt Edge.4 points

Not sure what the weekend plans are at this point. Have a friend coming in from out of town, we discussed skiing but not sure he’ll want to hit an ice rink tomorrow morning. And he plans on heading back around noon Sunday, so not sure if Sunday makes sense either. Assuming he doesn’t back out due to the snow forecast. But if I’m there Sunday, Sausage Sunday will be back in effect.3 points

Last season when I sitzed down the razors rink I thought about taking off my skis and walking over to challenge but then decided Ive never walked off a run in 40 something years of skiing and wasn’t ready to start that day either Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

Hey All, I'm back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 525pm and matt edge and atomic jeff were already in the house. I fixed some loose screws and was out on the snow. Had a perpetual IPA the quad ride up in the mid 50s temperatures. First run barneys bumps which were pretty nice to lower Main Street which was variable from nice spring snow to crud to harpack. We were then joined by zach who gave me a bells two hearted lift beer..didn't go down as easily as the Perpetual but I finished it before the garbage can. We did sidewinder which was nice spring snow until the last section which was pretty rough and the falls was spicy. One run while passing lazy mile on the six pack a snowball whizzed right by my head..I figured there would be some drama but after going down a lightning fast lazy the perpetrators were gone. Skied chute as well which was glacial ice..on another lazy run sparks were flying off zacks skis..we were then joined by Johnny law and a few runs later matt edge was challenged to race a snowboard dude and he almost lost as snowboard dude was at least 20 yards in front of Edge near the bottom of challenge but snowboarder wiped out and slid off the trail right before the falls and Edge got the win!!! Was great to see..challenge was variable AF!!! Around 745PM the radar showed rain over hazleton..and by the top of the lift it was raining..skied two more runs including more barneys and also paradise and had another beer in the lot..peaced out. Considering the temperatures the snow was faster and more winterlike than expected and lift lines were almost non existent a minute at the most despite over 20 buses..JADIP!! amazing that 2.5 hours after this picture was taken it was pouring.2 points

I got my wife a gold dipped rose, fresh flowers, a dozen chocolate dipped strawberries and made filet mignon, lobster tails and shrimp for dinner. In return I got the bed to myself when she fell asleep on the sofa with the 2-year old. i guess I did win.2 points

Lol, I was given a snapshot of the employment package, and if I'm lucky enough to be hired, the position comes with a season pass to a nearby resort. Enduring 500' vert may be an investment in a gnarlier future.2 points

Of course, a lift ticket should be tax deductible as job-relocation expense. After all, you have to explore if the area is a fit . . .2 points

I've been an online adjunct for 18 years at a college where I used to teach when I was a grad student. Those RTMs didn't pay for themselves, you know! I leave for SV on Thursday, interview Friday, and return Saturday. Then the following Thursday I go to Tahoe--almost the same schedule except I'll get to ski out there on Saturday and come back Sunday. I will definitely post a TR!2 points

Not for over 30 plus. Plus (and no offense Salty) but 80 dollars more for Blue is well worth it. 800 dollars may be worth it. I don't think Salty will ever get a Blue pass just because we'd never stop laughing if we saw him sliding down Razor's or Challenge with his skis off.2 points

There's a woman named Shelley on AirBnB in West Dover who rents rooms in a nice, big house just outside town. I've stayed there a couple of times for $35 a night; she's friendly and helpful; has a sweet old yellow lab who will steal your stuff when you're not looking and then play keep-away with it. Good fun. Cup n saucer is great for inexpensive breakfast alongside taciturn Vermonters. Good god, Mess, the Snow Lake Lodge is the sleaziest, sketchiest, most hilarious place I've ever paid money to stay. The bar area is like your creepy uncle's basement in 1975. The rooms are a living re-enactment of lower-East-Side tenements, and walking out of there in the morning unscathed feels like an accomplishment!2 points

No they don't...they can barely carry their skis..the wallets mainly ski down the middle of the run on pow days and cross other wallets tracks. Most of the wallets are elderly and weren't putting in lots of ski days when they were younger they were working their asses off in corporate America. Funny thing is the wallets pay significantly more to be able to load the gondola at JH between 830 and 845 and many of them can't make it to the line by 845 so they have to stand with the masses separated by a metal barrier until 9am and get jammed into a gondola cabin with doobie Don, Lifetime regaee and GrilledSteezeSandwich.1 point

Montana is nice..Big Sky doesn't have the sustained steeps of Jackson hole but it doesn't have the crowds either..Bridger bowl is nice...on pow days Bridger does get real busy because it's so close to bozeman..Slushmans lift wasn't around when I lived in Bozeman but it's apparently pretty badass. You need avy gear for it.. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.skimag.com/.amp/adventure/anatomy-bridger-bowls-schlasmans-lift dont be this guy...you can ride pierres knob lift, the Bridger lift and alpine lift with no avy gear.1 point

Shoot, a post as empathetic and broad-minded as that could earn you membership on the Lady Site! To be fair, I don't think Lindsay Vonn needs any help from photoshop. But I totally agree about the sexualization of athletes.1 point

Got that right. For years I just added the new page numbers to my syllabus but kept the old ones so students could buy eight-year-old books if they wanted to. Good luck with the binding. I think Blue's shop has a lot of different board binding brands? At least I think so, from killing time over in that section of the store one day. The guys in the shop are usually pretty great about that kind of stuff.1 point
