We already have our season (300") in. Base depth of 140, which is a new record I think. They had to extend the snow stake, anyway. Unfortunately, the body count is two so far, the second guy has not been found after a week of searching. I've been having a rough year, however, and not been out anywhere near as much as usual.

I'm trying to keep a glass half full attitude, which is not what I usually do: 1. I didn't die in an avalanche and cliff fall, so I got that going for me. 2. At least I got 1 full day out west, including a run I'll never forget 3. 2000/2001 was my first season, and this is only my second injury 4. I look out the window and see snow, which is better than rain 5. Probably will not need surgery 6. Still got to ride most of the season

Just realized I can get my son a teen pass one more year. It goes by his age the date of purchase. Old pass would have been his age 11/1/18.

Nobody can get to JFK in 2 hrs 8 mins. Google maps and gps’s dont acount for the fact that NYC is just the most fucked up place to drive in the world. Going to JFK to fly direct is conterproductive.

No planning needed..booked airfare the other day and will wait a little to book rental car as rates are variable and are often the lowest a few weeks out. I'll probably stay at the silver inn again in silverthorne. It was something like $85-90 a night and it's a couple hundred yard walk to an Irish pub that has corned beer nachos and double jack and cokes for under $9 each.

JFK is stupid far from here. And you can get cheap hotels in SLC.

I skied Mammoth on July 3rd last summer. If they have the snow, they really commit to staying open. It's also a great spring-skiing option because they salt their snow, so you get soft, hero spring conditions without the sticky/grabby quality of most spring snow.

Great! ill use my cheap pass and ride weekday nights and 8-10 on weekends and not worry about the crowds.

When does everybody think we should have our end of season party? I'm thinking maybe the weekend of 3/10 and 3/11. They will likely stay open a bit later than that but should for sure be open that weekend. Any preference on Saturday over Sunday?? It needs to be a day when Root, NMSki and Enjorales are there.

I always refer to PASRs by their screen names. Sallycat it was super easy for me to find your identity just knowing you teach high school history at a local private school and also because you are FB friends with Indiggio. Years ago Nastar and beer league racing results used to be posted on PASR but it was stopped because a certain member didn't like his identity revealed. I have the least common last name..thankfully when somebody knows a google search of me all that comes up is the know your news carrier article from 1995 and that I'm a giant fucking troll.

Lol. I actually met John Oates once. He rented a car from me when I worked at an airport rental counter in college. We chatted a bit during the paperwork, etc.. He was super nice and surprisingly short!

The Silver Inn is nice. I stayed there last September before I rode up Mount Evans. Very basic hotel and nothing fancy, but met my expectations.

This fuckhead at the bar is always talking about how much better snowboarding is how he was an expert skier and switched to boarding because he plateaued and how he now only skis in Europe like one trip every two years..that's not even a real skier/rider to me. And he has a condo in Florida that he frequently visits to ski/ride..what kind of skier/rider would have a condo in Florida unless they were a rollercoaster enthusiast like Enjorales and ILikeIceCream also in the middle of this some busted chick came over to him and kissed him..I guess it's his girlfriend. No you can't do that...snow tubing is just for you..you use your season pass for tubing, they don't issue you a seperate ticket. What you are discussing is known as theft of services and if you weren't such a nice guy I'd give you a strike two.
