Words don't describe how much fun yesterday was. Skiing with the biggest group of assholes in PA and loads of meat under the full sun. Life is pretty fucking good. The after-meat skiing was Razor's laps as much I my legs could take, it was so good between 12-3p. I'll post some of the pics I took later this morning.3 points

Yeah, you guys know how to have good time on the mountain! Attack the slopes and then go back to the base under the open skies. Beats the lodge and the hassle of the crowd inside hands down.2 points

Today was the last day of our 2018 Canadian ski trip. It was another stellar day to cap off a stellar trip. MDS is located on the US side of the St. Lawrence River about an hour east of Quebec City. We woke up at 6, hit up Timmy Horton’s, and were on the road by 7. MSD is even more in the middle of nowhere than Le Massif de Charlevoix. Our trip took us through expansive farm fields before we finally arrived just past 9 AM. The parking lots were small, which matched the lodge and mountain, but they were filling up quickly. I would say that an additional 10” fell overnight, and that brought out the “crowds”. It took us about 10 minutes in line to grab our lift tickets, but we were still in line at the chairlift at 9:30. The weather was picture perfect. It was just under 30 degrees, was cloudy, there was no wind, and there was fresh snow. We weren’t the only people who had found this little gem of a mountain, and the lift line filled in quickly. MSD boasts a vertical of about 1,250’ and only has one summit lift, a fixed grip quad. Despite the lift line, we never waited longer than 3-4 minutes. The lift was slow, but it gave you plenty of time to rest your legs. The mountain only has a couple greens, a couple blues, and a couple blacks, all of which are groomed. However, the mountain also has perfectly manicured and expansive glades that were some of the best on the east coast. Almost all the trails have a glade between them. Despite being well traveled, only the steepest of the glades showed any signs of wear. That’s the benefit of receiving close to 200” of snow so far this season and having very little adverse weather. Most of them were still sporting sections of deep powder on our last run at 2:45. There was something for everyone: beginner glades, tight glades, inbounds side country glades in the middle of the mountain, and luge style fly by the seat of your pants banked turn glades. We had to leave at 3 PM for the 5.5 hour drive back to VT, so we rode straight through lunch. In all, we rode 10 runs, with the majority of the time being spent on the lift. The first 7 runs I went into the woods before I tried some “groomed” runs for the last 3 as my legs became tired. This is exactly the type of mountain I love to visit. The vibe is right up there with Plattekill and Blue Knob. You won’t rack up the most runs here, but those runs will be of the highest quality. I will definitely be headed back in the future. All in all, it was a great trip with great conditions. I got to try some new mountains and experience some of the best conditions I’ve had on the east coast. Next year I’ll add another new mountain or two, but I’ll be sure to make it to Le Massif and MSD at the same time.2 points

Hey All I'm back from a fun day at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 710am and there were already some PASRs there popping champagne and drinking mimosas. I had a few mimosas and a Boston cream donut from Antman, sticky bun from PARidge and half ah Atomic Jeff bagel. First run was on razora which turned out to be the run of the day. It was smooth and softened a bit later..plus it was wide open except for one run when they were training on the lower part. Sidewinder was ok, Switchback was better and Main Street was a carpet. Nightmare to Dreamweaver a was also really good. Went to the lot for some beers and snacks and Enjorales even had bacon ready which were devoured like a game of hungry hungry hippos. Went back out for a few runs more Razors and nightmare Dreamweaver. Liftlines were pretty long still around 5 minutes in the VIP lines but lifts were stopping a lot. Then back to the lot for more beer, champagne and tons of good food my favorites were the steak, spanakopita and ribs. Thw sun sun was out most of the day, temperatures were nice and so many PASRs out in not even gonna list them all. I ended up leading out around 4pm..like ice Cube said,"Today was a good day". Lifestyle pictures to come.1 point

Hey all, Pulled into the lot around 715 and a few guys were already there. champagne was flowing and donuts, bagels and other stuff consumed. We all commented about how it was a little weird driving up due to daylight savings time. "we sacrificed an hour of sleep for an hour of better conditions", I believe it was Mattedge who said this. We all finally made it to the 6er around 830, very late for PASR standards, lol. First run down razors and I had no chance to keep up with you guys but thanks for waiting at the top. After that it was Burma>Bumps>Lazy>Switchback<Burma,Sidewinder and finally chute. Overall very fun midwinter conditions all around in the morning before hitting the lot. Hit the lot for about 30 minutes which included some SLAMMIN bacon from Enjoralas. Then went back out for 6 more runs. The carousels were full for both the quad and 6er but the VIP line for the quad was clutch. Finally hit the lot for about an hour and just hung out. It was nice to meet all of you for the first time and hanging out with everyone in general. Thanks for all of the food too.1 point

Really fun day. Thanks to everybody that showed up and provided food, liquids, services, of just there to hang. It was great being out there with everyone and meeting some new people. Conditions in the lot and the mountain were fantastic. I even brought out my park skis to hit a rail of two. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point
