Today I skied with Johnny Moseley, dude isn't as fast atomic on groomers but dude skied bumps on one leg wicked fast that I could barely ski on two. Plus he threw a huge 360 off a snow covered electrical box into the wine bar party which is the most legit move I've ever seen in skiing. Excuse my face it was super warm and I had to look directly into the sun to get the chair lift selfie.4 points

That is some Jedi-level attention to detail! Thanks! I was surprised at how sad I was to know it was my last day. Will hit the bike park a few times in May before I depart PA for good. Okemo still has great snow coverage but they're shutting down everything except what you can ski off the Sunburst Six chair. Major bummer. Killington shut down Bear Mountain and Ramshead but still has a ton open. It snowed today and the temps have not been spring-like at all yet! There's a warm-up coming, but it's bringing a lot of rain, so I'm not sure when I'll get to ski next. Sunday for sure. Family obligations and real estate stuff until then. Oh, Suicide Six is opening a lift-served bike park this summer. I have a free pass; will be fun to check it out.2 points

ABasin 4/10...day 6 of 6 Today began with temperatures in the mid 20s and sunshine...I pulled into the lot at ABasin at a leisurely 850am and I was fifth row or so right along the snow..got my ticket and was on the Black mountain express a few minutes after 9. I had to piss bad so first ducked into some woods and ended up on some bumps under the lift. They weren’t bad..up black mountain again to Lenawee and I took a screaming fast too to bottom groomer..up black hawk and Lenawee again then the rope tow to the back side. I skied groomed part of Montezuma bowl and then woods lower down was midway through safety break and dropped lighter in snow...doh..then went up Zuma chair and another screaming groomer down the front top to bottom. Not many people out today..then took Pali to the top and skied the same route I skied on the powder day Saturday..pretty much Pali face and the spine. Wide open not quite moguls not quite chowder..took Pali lift again and skied west wall which was trying to corn up down to mid mountain lodge. I had had a Bloody Mary with coors light 8 ounce then an IPA. No soft pretzels out yet so I settled on Doritos. Talked to bartender a little and he said he works Saturday to Tuesday so missed most of the Perd but will be out tomorrow getting the leftovers. Speaking of leftovers..people were traversing a mile down east wall to get a couple fresh turns...I guess not so crazy considering what we go through for the Perder. After my break I skied into the woods below mid mountain lodge and lighter was working again then went up Pali again skied west wall still trying to corn up not that warm but very sunny. Then took Lenawee to the top and did one final screamwer top to bottom..skied right back to my car. Some cool girls were parked next to me doing impromptu karaoke last song they did was straight out of Compton. Drove Loveland pass to 70 got $32 in gas near Denver then had chili’s. At chili’s saw the Hyatt place price dropped from $199 to $149 so I called them direct and got them to take off $10 more...now posted up on the fifth floor. Flight doesn’t leave until 1030am tomorrow so I can enjoy the free breakfast. Here’s a few pictures and I’ll post more later.2 points

It actually took me 8 hours door to door since I left hotel this morning at 8am mountain time to return car rental and got back to my hotel in Allentown at 6pm eastern.1 point

It’s about three hours home from Denver and four hours there. I drove to Montana once. I guess when I start spending my winters in the Rockies I’ll drive out there again1 point

Western Colorado is even more crazy because you drive an hour and you transition from snowy mountains to hot, hot desert. The west is so much more interesting than the east, geographically.1 point

I'm pretty content with my last day at Blue this season being that sleeper Monday pow day. It's been a good year. The parking lot scene has thrived and the beer/food quality has increased exponentially. You're all a good bunch of idiots.1 point

4/9..Loveland..day five of six Hey All, I’m back from the fourth powder day in a row. Friday was a rider of the storm day at ABasin with several inches new, Saturday was a foot+ new at Copper, yesterday was another foot new at ABasin and today was a foot new at Loveland. The drive to Loveland took a few extra minutes with 20 degree temperatures and h why snowfall at the Eisenhower tunnel. I parked around the 6th row at Loveland a little before 8am..booted up, bought ticket for $75 and got in line at chair 1. A couple dozen people in front of me in line. Was cool seeing people getting face shots from the get go. I skied a random mainly untracked blue to the ptarmigan lift..snow was light and dry..yet still pretty beefy...managed untracked right under the ptarmigan lift down to chair 6 had some of the days best fresh skiers left of or chair 6 up chair 6 again and over to chair 9 which had recently opened I don’t think it opened until 930. I had deep untracked in the woods and two fresh runs in a row right under the lift. The flats at the top scared people off but I had plenty of momentum and scored some face shots right under the lift then some nice patches of fresh lower down. So good had to repeat I would have done it a third time but by then it was pretty tracked out so had to start exploring. I made my way back to the middle some traverses and some untracked..only real nasty skiing was one pow section over some moguls and I sent a mini cliff without even barely realizing it. Made my way back to chair one and guy I was riding it just arrived around 11 and he said it looked incredible pointing at the chowder under the lift. I’m too much of a pow hound I needed those early fresh runs.. i did did a couple hot laps off chair one..skied the same woods twice because there was so much fresh..even skied up areas skied a lot nicer than the heavier snow or previous days. It was in the teens up high and 20s low..alternating between snow and sunshine and very windy above tree line. Fourth pow day in a row and my legs were screaming around lunchtime so I skied back to my car. Smoked for the fifth or six time of the day then drove down to Silverthorne and got Wendy’s..I’m tired..probably take a nap..go to Murphy’s a final time tonight. Tomorrow either ski ABasin or Loveland then drive down into Denver where the expected high temperature is 72 degrees pretty nuts considering I’ve needed to use my ice scrapper and snow brush 4 days in a row.1 point

Awesome skiing so far. 7 untracked runs so far at Loveland. Just my way back to chair one and people are saying today is the best pow day of the season. Not many pictures today not very good visibility. I skied from lift one over to lift 9 and back to lift one. In some woods near the top of lift one now. Pretty tracked out now and a lot of people still arriving.1 point
