  1. The term "PASR day" no longer is a thing for me. Way back when, when I was at Jackson Frost PASR days were a thing cause it was a big deal getting you, Jeff and any other Blue regular to come up. Fast forward a few years and everyone on this site have since become Blue regulars. I rarely not see another PASR to ski with. Trips out west are always PASR days too. With the exception of my kids, everyone I ski with posts on or is affiliated www.paskiandride.com

  2. I fully take over the business January 1st...I’m gonna start my presidentency with taking a lot of time off to ski and giving myself a fat raise since I no longer have to split profits with my dad!!!

  3. Feel free to PM them. I honestly don’t care. I like the current PASRs for all their quirks. Last season at blue was the best ski season in terms of the sheer number of PASR days. The season pass $399 deal really brought a lot of PASRs out the last third of the ski season.

  4. Also, it looks like things are shaking out that I'll be working at Suicide Six in Woodstock this winter, so if anyone has kids or beginners that would enjoy a small hill, contact me about passes.

  6. All of my research has found that if new people can put up with GSS for a week, we are likely to retain them for at least two years...

  7. Tell them to sign up and post here. We could use a few more cool people.

  8. I’m not sure if season pass holders are the ones contributing to crowds. Aren’t most of the crowds day trippers? That’s where they are making the money.

  9. I wouldn't spend a whole VT trip there. I'd stop by to ski with SallyCat for one day though. Doubtful on going out west. I have other priorities next year.

  10. As long as you enjoy what you do as a ‘job’ and it allows you have the life you like, you’re in a good spot.

  11. I feel like it is like any job. There are some benefits and some detractions. It also depends to some degree on how well you can compartmentalize. GSS is pretty gifted at that. Regardless of the ups and downs of business, he is able to leave it at the office when he walks through the door. Unfortunately, I have not been given that gift, especially during times of change. When things are going well, it is easy to leave things at the door. However, right now we have a couple vacancies of our own doing, trying to come up with a long term re-development plan, and we are also working on building another small new shopping center. There’s always brainstorming. It is more mentally taxing than anything. Once the new shopping center is built, filled, and the bills being paid, I’ll be much closer to being able to leave my worries at the office at night and on weekends. Overall, I wouldn’t change it. There are certain perks such as a company car and cell phone. The most important to me is virtually unlimited vacation time within reason and being able to make my own hours. The stress is tough right now, but it will get better as we wrap up these projects.

  15. I’m guessing that most of them couldn’t remember their login info if they wanted to. $399 is a good deal. I think anything $500 and under is decent for Pennsylvania. Elk is out of their mind at their SP rate.

  16. It would be pretty awesome to get all of these old school posters back for a year. I wonder how many of them still lurk...

  18. That’s why I chose to patrol when I worked up north full time. I got 7 days a week on snow if I wanted. First tracks on all the good stuff. Now that I volunteer at Sugarbush I still get plenty of time on the snow, but I have to make a trek up there in order to get it. I’d look into it next season if you are able...

  19. Lets hope this is one of those years where it’s warm everywhere until the week before thanksgiving and then a massive arctic blast comes through and areas in PA open around the same time as VT and NY

  20. That makes sense. Most don’t want to use vacation time for WROD

  22. What about drunk and/or stoned assholes who just enjoy skiing no matter if the mountains are big or small?

  23. Pretty much the only deal you’ll find on this early season is the 2 for 1 deal they will post later this month. I’ve camped out by the lift ticket kiosk before and shared with a stranger. Knocks it down to thirty and change.

  27. I expect it'll open then close in a panic by noon as the traffic hits rocks between bumps. But there'll be more poachers than at the 2018 Egg Cooking Regional Breakfast Tournament. Especially if the downed trees are off it. Sent from my Life Max using Tapatalk

  28. I don’t think many from PASR are gonna drive all the way to Vermont to ski a 600 vertical foot hill. Root is this the year you’re skiing out west? Talk to Toast he’s doing Utah.
