Ride from 240-510 for a total of 12 runs. Liftlines were awful on tannembaum the first hour and only got in 3 runs. Next hour and a half got 9 runs in. Did my final 5 runs on freedom cause liftlune was a lot shorter. Chilled with POC in the liftlune and lift ride who was there with his daughters. Nice snow and they prob could have had more open. Parking lot was like 85% full when I got there. Had a nice time and glad I went
Already on the road home (1150). 12 runs down freedom park and I got my fix in. Learned a couple new things. Lift lines weren’t bad for the first hour then became pretty bad after that, idk about the other lift haha. Not much else to report TBH. Good snow and rail setups as expected.
Shout out to Boulder for continually opening first and giving us somewhere to ride in November.
Possible record low temperatures on Thursday. Teens in the Lehigh valley perhaps some single digits in the poconos. If you haven’t already done so now is a good time to bring in your tropical pets and plants.
I’m not giving up hope for a chance at Blue for Root Friday. Tuesday night to Thursday looks awfully cold round the clock snowmaking. Could be a Saturday opening to give them an extra day. Now next weekend the dreaded R word is in the forecast but it’s a long way out so could change.
Leaving now. 10 Tannebaum laps in about 1:50. Well, 9 on Tannebaum and one on the closed Love Park, at least the part accessible from the lift serving Tannebaum.
Hit our “waiting in line” limit. Fun to be back on the snow.
I am hopeful, but I fear that they realistically will not be able to. If temps drop lower than projected, they could be good. If they stay the same or rise, it could be dicey.
