In Colorado I always rent a mid sized SUV like a Nissan Rogue or Hyundai Sante Fe and to try to upsell me they always ask if I’m going into the mountain. I say yes and they say because the car is only four cylinders. The one time they offered to upgrade me to an all wheel drive BMW but I didn’t want people to think I was a douchebag.

Humidity is probably the biggest hurdle for making snow in this area. Cloud cover is never great, and when its going from 36 to 25 overnight, you have to take into consideration how long it will take to get that low, and how long it will stay in the snowmaking zone. They might be able to freshen things up a little, which any little bit will help until we get to a nice cold snap which will hopefully happen around Wednesday of next week.

Mount Snow and the rest of Vermont getting puked on right now. 19” as of this morning. Super jealous.

The 2nd week in December is looking good for some non-stop snow making if the long range forecast holds. Would likely see the 6pack open late that weekend on the 8/9th or sometime mid-week. Hopefully it holds.

Too humid, or they are intentionally doing it to piss you off would be my guess.

I hate chrome, I hate chrome bumpers. I hate chrome moldings, etc. Chrome can kiss my ass. Most of that is due to the fact that chromed items are essentially “non repairable” and need to be replaced. I can thank my job for that. Fixing a re-chroming things is now a thing of the past.

2.7 Ecoboost is a v6

My coworker had the 2.7 ecoboost (it's a TT V6)...it was pretty fast for a pickup truck, way faster than my other coworkers 4.6L in his slightly older F150. The 3.5 ecoboost must be a pretty quick truck.

I have a few friends that hunt who never see deer. I tell them if they want to bag a deer, all they need to do is let me drive them around at night (in their car of course) and they will have one in no time.

Looks like we might luck out this weekend. Rain isn’t supposed to begin until Saturday afternoon and should be finished by opening on Sunday.

Hopefully Boulder can lay down some snow this week...

Took this one yesterday AM before the mountain opened. Was some cool fog in the valley. Looked clear at Camelback...could almost see their massive whales from Blue.

Barney's was quite skiable right from the get-go. Surprised they set them, but pretty easy for bumping the trail count. A bit chunky from the cat tracks, but they broke down quick and with the warming temps, they skied in nicely. Hopefully the rain doesn't take the troughs down to the dirt.

Doug got a new car. It's still pretty clean. JFDan took "before" pictures so we can compare it to the state of the car at the end of the season. Lower Main was pretty good today...could actually rip some turns. Come Around -> Midway -> Lower Main was the ROTD for me.

Really good to be back at Blue. Crowds weren't bad at all. First few Come Around to Lower Main runs were lots of fun. Upper Main not so much. Normal for when blue opens a run. Could care less. Had a blast. It's November 24th and I got 2 good days in.
