Nothing groomed at Eldora this morning. No real powder but lots of small push piles. I keep having to remind myself it’s only November. Conditions out here are surprisingly good! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk6 points

I cannot imagine having the time in any given day to dig deep back in year old powder threads just to post inane things.5 points

I was driving this morning and it was crystal clear outside, low humidity and 35 degrees. Why weren't they blowing snow?3 points

Has nothing to do with who opens first. Blue is just a better hill. There isn't a trail at CB that compares to a Razors or an NMDW. Shit if I had another kid I'd probably name him or her NMDW. That's how much I like that run.2 points

And you can also ski Burke which is a fukin cool 2k vert mountain that is never crowded. Plus you can show Mikaela Shiffrin your rtms’s.2 points

I signed up for Women’s Clinic this year at Blue. Really excited. I would like to at least be a decent bump skier.1 point

How long of a drive is that?? Post a report. Have some soup and rice and chicken and beef and egg roll and dessert as well. Make it worth your while. Refill your own drink so you don’t have to tip a dollar.1 point

Like the saying goes, "It's not that you can't ski bumps - you can't ski, and the bumps prove it"1 point

It definitely is, especially when you're out skiing in the middle of the woods with nobody else around, in a ton of freshly fallen/falling powder.1 point

You’ve mainly only met the PASRs once at camelback in 2009..maybe make an effort to come to Blue sometime and ride with us. You’d enjoy a nice sausage Sunday!!1 point

Hogwash. Just start skiing bumps whenever you have the chance. Even if it is just the edge of Barney’s where you can hop back onto the groomed surface. Bump skiing is just like tree skiing except without the trees. It really comes down to learning your quick turns and hop turns. Once you get into the woods for real, you’ll never want to hit groomers again.1 point

I wasn’t the biggest fan of Whiteface, but I’m definitely not hating on it. I would go back again. I still prefer Gore, but that’s just personal preference. I remember when you used to go to Stowe/Sugarbush every year. I always enjoyed those TR’s. Several were before I was at SR, and you always seemed to get it on good snow days. I was always jealous. Salty, if you’re looking for a new place in VT, you probably want to check out Sugarbush last. We just aren’t a groomer type mountain. Lots of fun in the trees and bumps, but grooming is definitely at a minimum on overall terrain.1 point

Seems like they are all in a gas station or convenience store. Never heard of them until I ended up in Cherry Hill every day for training for 4 months. We get it most Wednesdays. I like it right up there with Popeyes, maybe even a smidge higher. Consistently juicy chicken and crispy skin/coating. I like both better than KFC. Haven't tried the tenders, I can't buy enough tenders to feed 12-15 cable techs and keep in budget, lol. Biscuits are prime. Honey sweet but also a tinge of saltiness. Not as dry as Popeyes, which are also awesome in a different direction. Great mac and cheese at KK, good potatoes (gravy comes already on potatoes like Popeyes), good wedges, crappy red beans and rice. Edit: to add pic of today's leftovers1 point

Jackson only grooms two black runs...just keep skiing a lot and I bet by the end of this season you’ll be a solid low intermediate skier1 point

That chart is hard to understand (for some). We need a Sallycat flow chart, maybe with pictures and less big words.1 point

Guns are silent at JFBB too....this is just a huge conspiracy for us just not to ski!!!!! What the fuck is going on at Camelback?????? Let me rephrase that....who the fuck cares whats going on at Camelback?????? What the fuck kind of world do we live in when they cant make snow at 31.3 degrees????? I bet Bear Creek is just laughing at everyone else with their "Mr Chilly" they bought a couple years ago to cool the water. On a more serious note, whats going on at Elk? Havent heard at all if they are making snow or not. I asked for ski socks for Christmas, BTW. Just thought you guys would like to know that.1 point
