So my cousin asked me earlier this week if I wanted to go to Hunter with him this weekend... ahhh h*ll yea I do and what a day he picked to go. No wind, 40 degrees and sunny, an amazing day weather wise. We got on the snow a little late at around 945 but no worries as we were in no rush and planned to spend the who day up there. Lift lines from 945 till about 1145ish were somewhat significant, maybe 6-8 minutes for a few runs but overall not too bad. After 12 for the rest of the day lift lines were less than 2 minutes off of the Kaatskill Flyyaaaaaa Since my last visit here they opened a couple new trails, one being a blue from the summit to mid mountain which turned out to be the run of the day. We found some really fun glades at the top of the mountain and we also quickly found out that a lot of 420/chilling out takes place in these glades. Some by us and some by others, but never the less some good camaraderie was had. We spent a good amount of time riding in there thru out the day. While not very difficult glades it was good for me to get some warm up in there and good for my cousin to get experience in the trees. Hes a pretty decent rider and I never have to worry about him keeping up. He just doesn't have a lot of experience outside of Bear Creek and Blue so it was fun seeing him ride a more challenging mountain and he had a blast in the trees. Spring like conditions pretty much all day until it got overcast around 2 and hardened the snow up a decent bit. Unfortunately no real park is set up, however they did add a couple small features. I noticed that they had about a dozen rails/boxes in one "holding" location so im suspecting they will do an actual park build this week...just a guess. All in all an absolute great day on the mountain! Its nice to finally have somebody that im close with that wants to ride as much as I do and is willing to drive, wake up early and just go along with where the day takes us. A+++ day.9 points

Hey All, Iâm back from a fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the upper lot at 7:20AM and cloudy with a temperature In the mid 30s. In the house were Johnny law, Atomic Jeff, Enjorales, enjorales dad, Gahskier George,JFDan, Marty, Slim, Indiggio, Gary, Sch Ryan, Tarponhead, Toast, KevinThomas..Matt Edge.:and many others.. First run was nice nice nice smooth and fast vista to midway to lower Main Street first civilian chair again. The chute was nice skied it like three times..lower Main Street got predictably rough. The bumps werenât bad and x-ing was sweet. No real liftlines..crowds were pretty low key,,mild parking lot weather. Had some good beers and then food at the BMDI...JADIP1 point

Was a great day to try out my new skis. Things got bumpy on Main Street. Blizzards plowed thru it, no problem.1 point

I got some VIP passes through work and they came with parking in the lot right under the Gondola. We got some free swag, lots of good food, and free beer and bloody Mary's. Ended up being a really good place to watch from; big tvs until the skiers came in sight, then a good view from there. The place went nuts when Shiffren won, and really any time an American or Canadian was up. Was a fun scene and the crowds weren't too crazy, but we were lucky.1 point
