Riding the main street dubb as I type this. First night sesh of the season. Snow is surprisingly decent. Crowds are non existent. Life is good.

Today was a super sweet Sunday but I'm ready to be in the lower lot. The upper just feels weird

9° at the base and 2° at the summit...so said the board at both lift stations. Luckily no wind and it flurried the whole time I was there along with still blowing snow on a few trails. Fantastic snow all around with a few more trails opened this week. One of the trails that they opened was Belt Parkway, a long blue from top to bottom and this is where the new Hunter North expansion connects to the mountain. Word has it they plan on opening the expansion on the 22nd. Pics of the new lift below. It warmed up to a blazing 14° by the time I left around 2 o clock. 17 runs of the Kaatskill Flyaaaaa with a coffee break after 10 runs. Boy did the singles line come in handy, lines were getting pretty long for groups but singles were rolling thru. I managed to find the 420 hut but these kids were lames, they basically came to the mountain to party, not ride. They finally put in a couple new park features but still less than impressive. A great day with great snow but cot d*mn was it cold. Enjoy my lame *ss pics yo.

Also, Doug was so stoned today that he forgot that he carried his poles down to his car and then blamed us when he thought he lost them.

Pretty decent snow day today. Lazy was sooo much better today. Stopped in the lower lot on my way out. Blowing on challenge, not huge production. Really hard to tell what paradise looked like. Hopefully they will be done on tubing soon so they can focus on more trails.

Hey All, I’m back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. The temperature was in the 20s under overcast skies and there was even some frozen fog on the lower mountain some day attributed to the snowmaking cannons participating in operation Blizzard 3.0. In the house were Toast, Johnny Law, Atomic Jeff, JFDan, Matt Edge, The Dude4Bides, Indiggio, Enjorales, Enjorales Dad, Slim, TP4, Root, VTMark, Gah Skier George, JFDan, MBike mike, Mrs Snowbunski, Antman, and many others. Opening bell meant some carpet like snow on vista to midway to lower Main Street. Upper Main Street was very very nice with some extra cushion for the pushing. Lower Main Street got rowdy fast..lazy mile was better than yesterday closer to packed powder..corners always fun especially with JLaw and Atomic Jeff on your ass..no homo. I did come around to chute once and come around had nice groomed snow and I made sure to check myself before I wrecked where SaltyAnt ate shit yesterday..ended session with more lazy miles..mostly Burma chairs since not much wait on that side. Blue was selling lots of tickets and race team is out in full force. Had some parking lot beers and then hit up the BMDI for breakfast food. Was well under $30 for three people including juice and fresh sausage..not bad... it looks like the six opens tomorrow at least what I heard through the rumor mill. JADIP

So Midway is pretty interesting.

Slopeside area is looking classy as always complete with "holiday" lights, firepits and ADK chairs.

Thats a lot of food for $18. How much did you make your daughters pay?

Also my biggest food splurge yet at Blue. Cheeseburger, Fries, Soft Pretzel, large Hot Cocoa and one of those Raspberry cakey pastries. Of course the 10% discount brought total bill down from 20 to 18.

You guys missed it with your crazy early sched. The winds had the pow pow t-deep in BBaumer by early afternoon but you folks passed up the goods in favor of upper lot brewakis. Winds from the West will likely have blown the stash over to Sidewinder or beyond by this AM so I wish I had snapped a pic for you but, as they say, there are no photographers on powder day. Maybe I can do it Blue style and post some pix of powdery trees in Utah for you

The Lazy Mile glades were fucking epic today. I didn't expect them to blow so much snow in there, but it really was the best on the mountain because it wasn't heavily traveled. Felt like I was out west. Hoping tomorrow is the same.
