Hey All, I’m back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 720am and the temperature was in the low 40s under overcast sky’s with fog on the upper mountain extending to the peak. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, Ryan, Mute, Toast, Schifdawg GSSucks, Ty, Shadows, T Maki, West Chester homeys, Indiggio, Tarponhead, JLaw and many others. First civilian six pack and the six pack ran flawlessly I don’t think it stopped once..Main Street was a carpet first thing but poor visibility on the top half..lazy to the falls also good. Concussion Ted was making sure that nobody was going on paradise while the patrol got it ready with bamboo lollipops yeah it definitely wasn’t sucker free. I skied the Barney’s Bumps once and they were pretty nice..small but carvable..the snow was hero snow and not that crazy choppy at least from 8-10...paradise was a little more firm and spicy..Lazy mike became crazy mike was some serious needle threading. Was a nice session totally ski on ended up skiing I believe 13 runs and then retired to the parking lot for a couple beers. No BMDI tomorrow and I fear no skiing tomorrow AM with the weather forecast. A fre pics. Shout out to Barb with the 80s music and some early fog and mist which cleared then set in and cleared again. I was hesitant to ride Hunter today but when I walked out my door into a steady rain, I had a feeling I made the right decision. I left my complex at 5 am and drove straight to Hunter and pulled into the lot at 7:52, 38° and a fair bit of fog. Ran inside real quick, back to my car and at the lift corral by 815, first chair. PASR up in this b****. While inline waiting a lady said "Brian Westbrook, my favortie player!" Turns out she and her family are from Nazareth and spend their weekends at Hunter during the winter. Very nice family, made the 15 minutes go by quick and invited me to join them at happy hour lol. Hero snow all day and you could quickly tell that they lost a lot of snow, however they did open up some of Hunter West which included a highspeed quad, a double diamond and a blue. The blue "Overlook" was really fun and I went back a few times. Holy sh*t the double diamond "Claires Way" was just a bump run....but the bumps we literally the size of a VW bug. They also finally did a full park build, props to Empire. 12 runs in I took a lunch/coffee break and back out on the snow for 8 more runs. I downloaded a new stat tracker app that im pretty happy with. I started it 1 run into the day and did a total of 20 runs like youll see below. No lifts lines to speak off outside of maybe 2 runs, again the singles line is clutch. At one point I see 4 Mountain OPs/Snow makers, all twentie somethings redneck/back mtn (with all due respek) looking mofos seemingly having a blast..naturally I think "I gotta ride up with these kids". Yo, theses cats were a riot! For their sake ill save the details but by far the best lift ride ive had in awhile. F*cking hilarious. Today was a freakin blast. Usually im content with leaving when I do. But today, even after 20 runs I wished I wouldve stayed for a couple more.4 points

I’m gonna try and post updates throughout the day but I do t like taking my phone out in the lift so we shall see. Out the door at 5:05am walking my dog. Bonus that I got to see 2 meteors from the shower. Very bright with long tails. Rolled into Mary Jane about 8:20. Scored the last parking spot in the “circle” near the lift. Waiting for the lifts to open. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

My daughter got me this great ornament for my b-day. She knows how much her old man likes seeing bighorn sheep up on Kachina peak.3 points

A little more about today. Snow was excellent everywhere. So nice to ski "Para.....Para.....Paradise". the Fog at the peak lifted around 10:45 or so which was great for visibility. Crowds were minimal except for the race team on Main St. Production on Challenge looks good. Overall a a great day. So far it's been dry, at least around here. Hopefully it stays that way.2 points

Booked a quick trip with Mute to ski the Hole of Jackson! Pumped! We get in late morning, so I might try and get some turns in the afternoon since it is $free.99 with my Ikon pass. a few days of skiing, a few nights of drinking, and then back home. First weekend in March if anybody else is interested in coming out. Got a good deal at the 49er, so we'll be staying there. Definitely more than it has cost in the past, but for ~$110 a night split two ways, ya can't really complain about a good free breakfast, nice rooms, mountain shuttle at the front door, and pool/hot tub. Pretty stoked! Pray for snow - I want Mute to drown in perderrrrrrrrrrr.1 point

Hope you enjoyed it. I was just thinking about how awful it was climbing the hill to Stowe in ski boots. That story brought so much enjoyment to some fellow posters like tarponhead. I drove past the Pico parking lot on my way home and it was just as packed as Killington. Next time I'm not even bothering with a Saturday or Sunday in Vermont; Monday through Thursday are awesome and there are almost never any lines.1 point
