Today’s conditions were absolute garbage for the most part, but it’s always good skiing with you all.6 points

Hey all; just concluded another fun session at Blue Mountain, the truest of mountains. Representing PASR were Atomic, Toast, Johnny Law, NMSki, M-Bike-Ski, Matt Edge, Philly Core, and many, many, many others. Pulled into the Upper Lot at 0744 hours and not many cars were parked there which was surprising. Made it to rope drop with 7 minutes to spare so I sat on the lounge chairs to save my leg strength. First run down Midway was mad steezy. First run down Main Street was mad steezy. Both runs had wall to wall corduroy which was fun to ski. Then Lazy Mile was also quite steezy. Paradise sucked hardcore and was barely skiable. By far the most horrendous run of the day. Burma was OK. Falls was rad. The highlight of the day was when the PASRs appeared out of nowhere and Atomic made an attempt to steal my ski poles on Homestretch, and he allegedly crashed in that attempt though I didnt actually witness it. This is all hearsay from Atomic. Maybe next time he will snatch my ski poles on Homestretch but today wasnt that day. I'll be extra cognizant of my surroundings on Home Stretch from now on and watch for potential pirates. Called it quits around 1016 and had cold frozen coffee in my car. Overall a decent day, JADIP, Ice is Nice, Dress like a Cosmonaut.4 points

How much “leg strength” could you possibly use standing by the rope at 753am? Also we park at the bottom lot now that the 6-pack is open. You should too.4 points

Just arrived. Picked up my skis after a hot wax job yesterday now skiing probably until close. It's not terrible. Sugar piles on the sides carvable hard pack in the middle. I've skied worse. Having fun and yes the sexual innuendos in this post are intentional because I'm a child3 points

Best conditions of the day were on the Ironton Rail Trail. A smooth 13.11 with @toast216023 points

My cousin and I met up at 8am with no set plans on where to ride. I was content with riding Blue, he threw out the idea of riding JFBB and we compromise on JF as I can’t really ride park at the moment. Im really glad he pushed the idea of JF because we had a very great time overall. Beautiful sunny day with no wind mixed with nice made mad soft snow. It was a nice change from the norm to start at the top of a mountain and it’s pretty cool how large the area at the top of mountain is. Since only about half of the trails were open we didn’t get the full JF experience but some fun trail regardless. We particularly enjoyed “Lightning” to “Rivershot” and also “The Challenge” which we went back to many times each. We didn’t enjoy the terribly slow lifts. Brutal. Overall a great day and we both looking forward to going back when there’s more snow.3 points

For those of you who enjoy a little local history like I do, there are some pretty cool archived aerial photos on this site from the 1930s to 1970s in Pennsylvania. For example, here is are pictures from where Blue is in 1938, 1959, 1971. You can get lost in history looking at these pictures, especially with a few beers. Enjoy. http://www.pennpilot.psu.edu/2 points

I think the ROTD was main street. That just means it was just a little bit better than anything else condition wise. Lower lot rocks, no matter how (bad) conditions are, the lot is always on point . so glad to be back down there. We really need some good snowmaking temps soon. The race team BS is out of control. Have we figured out what time opening is tomorrow?2 points

You probably made a good decision for today condition wise since East mtn was open. [emoji106] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Dude, you bike thousands of miles a year and your legs can’t handle an extra 7 minutes of standing?1 point

Completely out of control. At this one point yesterday there was atleast 3 dozen(!) of them all at the top of the 6 in the way. However, It was hilarious to watch my cousin get stuck in the middle of all of them, trie to waddle out of the pack and ultimately fall face first because of the little damn race kids. I was laughing in this case, but all too often they get in way and cause hassle. Are they always there both Saturdays and Sunday??1 point

Ill be there for 8 with a beer in my pocket to drink at the lift if it’s 8:30.1 point

Yeah I like to get right on the snow while it's good. That's one extra run on fresh cord compared to having to ride the lift first from the lower lot.1 point

I always sit somewhere unless standing is a requirement. In fact I'm sitting on a bench at Wal-Mart right now. I'm more of a Top Lot kind of guy, as the lodge is a lot nicer and there aren't any deep craters in the parking lot. But I still visited the lower lot when it was 900 hours and knew to look for Atomic's bright orange pants from the lift.1 point

Hey All, I’m back from another fun day at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 720AM and it was in the upper 30s under overcast sky’s with moderate winds. In the house were Root, Atomic Jeff, Toast, Phillycore, Slim, Indiggio, Tarponhead, Marty, GahSkier George, bethlehem Ford Kurt, PARidge, Justo, Ty, Johnny Law, Ryan, Antman, Hans and many more. Snow was soft and in my opinion pretty nice the first few runs..really only three main routes..Main Street, lazy to the falls and Paradise. SP3000 on Paradise... Skiing was fun and early on there were a few wet flakes near the peak. In the lot beers, soft pretzels and Xmas cookies were enjoyed...I picked up my new skis which were stolen and recovered on the way to point Phillips hotel...tomorrow I’m going to Virginia to see family. I’ll be back at Blue on Wednesday and I’m thinking it should be pretty rowdy..merry Christmas everybody especially to the uber drivers names Muhammad!!!1 point

Blue has really stepped up their game the last few seasons with opening early and closing late. My crew is almost ready to convert.1 point

They were extra whistle happy today which conjured up memories of the days of yore. Apparently action shots were taken. Today was good. The first few runs were really good then things got choppy right quick. Limited terrain + warm weather + race team = a bumpy ride....Quick maths. Still a lot of fun with y'all. Phillycore and myself even did a Tour de Blu.1 point

It disappoints me to hear that there still is a perceived animosity between the PASR community and the Blue Mountain Ski Patrol. After an interaction with a BMSP member today, it's evident that they still feel malevolence towards our community. To them I say: put the distant past behind you. We have. We're all skiers. We slide down a mountain on frozen water with pieces of wood and plastic on our feet. There is no time or place for ill will. I know I am well known in the BMSP circles. I encourage those circles to open up and say "Hello". Ride the lift with us. Stop by our tailgates. We're not complete assholes, we're just insanely passionate about skiing. On a better note...GSS's new skis are freakin beautiful. Johnny Law fucked them a few times before I stole them and drove off.1 point
