Another awesome day did the back bowls myself for 90 min in the AM. Then grabbed the girls and they skied like champs all day including 5 glade runs and about 1000' vertical of solid moguls. The only thing that will challenge them at Blue at this point are PA ski conditions. Wonderful vaca. Eating pizza before a third hot tip session and mountain shuttle back to DIA, then hope I can catch some Zs on Ze plane.

Hey All, I’m back from a fun post Christmas session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 720AM and was 30 degrees out with snowguns blazing on razors, lower park, Central Park, razors and nightmare to Dream Weaver. Also in the house were Root, Slim, Nastar Glenn and Indiggio. I first tried out my Kastle 115s with first civilian six pack on Main Street and the snow was sort of rough..not smooth some cookies and just frozen snot...Lazy mile to falls was much better although falls was lipstick on a pig with cookies emerging later. I traded the kastles for roots monsters and skied a run on them then went to lot and grabbed my Atomic 95s to try out. While they are light they can handle speed I can do little doodle turns if I want..although the corners on Lazy and paradise were solid ice so didn’t try to push em too much. Was also skiing on new boots boots for first time and didn’t wear them around or anything so was nice taking em off at 10am in the lot and having a few beers and enjoying a john Denver like zen moment. Rocky Mountain high...I thought the Rockies were rockier than this.... ski everyone tomorrow morning.

Cool Pic. You can see three rail lines in the photo. The Lehigh & New England and the Lehigh Valley and the CNJ on either side of the river. Shows what a part that the railroads played in LV history. Today there is only a single track running through the gap.

Beautiful sunrise run in Jacobsburg State Park before opening presents. I was the only one out there.

The guy parked by me had full face helmet was the same color as the tin man from the wizard of Oz.

Still unsure why they aren’t blowing on challenge since there is already a small base down.

They’re blowing on razors.

I'm thankful for all of the great people I've met and have become friends with online, offline, on the slopes, and in the stands. PASR is so much more than just a message board for Snowsport Enthusiasts. So many good times, great people, through the highs and lows.... PASR has been there. They will certainly be game for the double blacks at Blue after this They really pull their weight and make it easy, and are real brave and dont hold me back much. It is a joy to share the activities I love with them. Just hope they remember and are willing to wait for me a couple years from now when they blow me away as skiers.

It’s great that you got them out there. Most guys in your situation would never get their kids into such pain in the ass activity to do with kids.

Girls went up to the 12,313' peak, did a black diamond in a back bowl and lots of tree runs this AM. Eating lunch now before heading back out to do the ambassador-led mountain tour at 1pm. They are awesome skiers

Mountain Plaza hotel location is ideal and outdoor hot tub is real nice but room itself has seen better days. Small bath with lame tub and hole in door where hook once was. Off to check out Xmas festivities with Santa leading a torchlight parade down mountain and kids parading with glowsticks (though my girls deemed themselves too mature to participate in that). Been flying into DIA enough that I have a fav restaurant there I hit every time - Mesa Grill

Don't recall the brand. Awesome powdery day, dumping the whole time. Took some shots in Revolution bowl. Only took my camera out once so all shots are from same spot just pointing different directions. Skied greens in the AM with the girls then blues and blacks and double blacks in the afternoon on my own.
