Another nice morning, in by 8, out by 10. Pretty quiet first thing, big line at the ticket booth on the way out. Nice and firm even as I left. Bottom of Rivershot was a lot smoother than Monday. Still no Floyds or glades. Race team on half of Challenge and red coats on Demattes. No guns going. 21 minutes riding, an hour and a half on lifts - what can I say, it's Jack Frost.4 points

I was originally planning on Slushy Saturday, but I just can't resist putting Enjoralas meat into my mouth, so Sausage Sunday it is for me. Also, Monday Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday look real good for me next week.3 points

Forgot to post this yesterday. As seen in the parking lot on a crowded day at Blue... We all had a good chuckle! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

Hello all, just got back from another great day at Hunter Mountain. Rolled outta my place a bit after 5am, made really good time and was in the lift corral by 825. I could tell that it was going to be busy by the amount of people already in the lot and lift corral. I originally planned on going tomorrow (Friday), but the weather is looking terrible so I decided today was the day. 32 and sunny all day, perfect! snow conditions were varied with a lot of really really nice man made snow but unfortunately many spots on the mountain were scrapped off and icy. First run was down "Jimmie Heuga Express" so I could duct into the woods for a quick safety break, then down "drop off" which was my first time since its been previously closed. Second run was "Belt Parkway" to the brand new, recently opened "Hunter North", the largest east coast terrain expansion in 15+ years! First run was down a blue "Overlook", LMAO this was not a typical blue. It cleared up the term "a hunter blue". I doubt the picture will do it justice. I took 5-7 runs over at Hunter North thru out the day, definitely very fun trails. Oh by the way the new 6 chairlift "Northern Express brings you 1000' of vertical in 3 minutes and 40 seconds! Thru out the rest of the day I pretty much hit the whole mountain, The main face, Hunter West and Hunter North. Obviously not all trails were opened but I covered the mountain. Oh! They fully opened the summit lodge! Not just bathrooms and first aid anymore, but a full Cafe/Restaurant serving anything from coffee to ribs! I saw my Nazareth friends again, this time at the lodge and sorta ate lunch with them. Ill get a picture next time but this place was pretty cool. Thanks for reading and some pics below. Coffee/safety break... Top of Hunter North and the new lift from the existing trail "Belt Parkway" Bottom of the new lift at Hunter North... Idk if the picture will do it justice, but this is not a blue! lol And finally my total "stats" for the day.2 points

I'll try to get there at some point this weekend. Likely Sunday, either first thing or at night. Mid / late afternoons are tough, which means no sausage for me. But we'll see.2 points

I don’t think that many days at his level but consecutive days help...2 points

You still have plenty to learn and room to progress, as do I. Just switched my weekend ski day to Sausage Sunday.2 points

Please don't remind me. At least the temps don't appear to be low enough for the snow to set up tonight and it looks like it's going to be sunny and warm tomorrow, so hopefully it'll be spring conditions. Bring your bikini! Yes The ski club that Slim Bob belongs to is running a trip to some hole in Wyoming the first week of March, so I'm going along with them.2 points

I bought the season pass. I liked the Navion ski app, but they discontinued it. I'd rather pay a small subscription then have the app shut down after a few years when new purchases dry up.2 points

Because skiing is only partly about the skiing. It's about the camaraderie, beers, sausage, etc.2 points

Thanks! My cousin has driven 2 times, so that's helped a touch. To be honest the driving isn't that bad. I like waking up early and the drive there is kinda therapeutic: super early in the morning, no cars on the road and an easy drive with next to no turns (and anticipation!). Sit back, relax and do a lot of thinking. The ride home can be tiresome but I try to ride the "high" of a great day of riding for most of the car ride. haha. However, I have been thinking A LOT recently about picking up a beater car before next winter. My car is by no means very nice but I feel sh *t putting soo many miles on it. Plus it would open more possibilities in regards to snowdays....my car is not made for the snow. lmao.2 points

My hats off to you Antman. Doing 3 plus hours each way on a regular basis is the definition of getting after it.2 points

Damn ant, you’re gonna get the high mileage award this season. oh wait, no you won’t, because your stats are completely missing.2 points

Back when I was a gaper, I thought ski patrol was going to kill me on Falls. I was making my way down Falls slowly and suddenly 5 or 6 patrollers sped past me. If I was in the wrong place it would have been bad. Fortunately I'm a good skier now and can get down Falls quickly. But I remember to slow down at the top and check for gapers first.2 points

I always take my skis into that bathroom. Probably will even they put a rack there.1 point

Just a wild guess, but Salty won't progress any until he crosses over 25 days, +/- 5 days1 point

Skiing was the most fun when I was getting better and advancing, like skiing blacks for the first time. Now that I've plateaued it's still fun to get out but not really as challenging. I'll try moguls and glades again this year because those were the funnest sessions I had last year. I suck big league in moguls, maybe I can challenge Indigio to a mogul competition.1 point

im going out to the shed to build you a ski rack. should be baller. oh, and now they are closing at 4pm.1 point

Oh and I repeat why aren’t there ski racks by the new automatic doors at the lower lot. Hundreds of people a day enter through those doors to go to the bathroom or other places in the lodge. Where are they supposed to put their skis...I will be taking my skis into the bathroom until they put racks out there and I’ve noticed others have followed suit taking skis in the bathroom. I was looking over my shoulder looking at my skis from the urinal yesterday and if any asshole grabbed them I would go after him or her mid stream..wow just wow.1 point

Weather was nice today and snow was decent. The trails got too crowded by 1130, so I left. I think you guys blasted past me a couple times.1 point

I may be cutting this one short. the weather is great and the snow is decent but it's gaper city tonight. To be expected I guess but extra dangerous with limited terrain. Not even touching paradise for a number of reasons1 point
