Really sorry to hear about this. Not going to jump to any conclusions but damn... That bar is there for a reason. This shouldn't happen to anyone. Again I don't want to jump to conclusions as I have no idea what happened. Perhaps the bar was down. When I was younger I wasn't as cognizant about the bar as I am now and it was stupid. All I know is my heart goes out to that kids parents. So sorry to hear this.

Tell them you want the bar down. Then put it down. End of discussion.

In Jackson hole it’s..ride bike to a lake..swim across lake..summit grand Teton..climb back down the grand, swim back across the lake..ride back to Jackson..refill Nalgene bottle in a mountain stream then hop on a wild elk and ride off into the sunrise.

Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 721am and in the house were JFDan, Atomic Jeff, Indiggio, TP4, Slim, GahSkier George, Antman, Gary, MBike Mike, Mrs snowbunski, Dude4Bides girlfriend, feel Matt and many more. The day began with 50 degree temperatures along with peppered bacon and mimosa. Was a leisurely start and were on second chair. Wow just wow Main Street was good once you got past the first skeet spot..smooth and soft corn woo woo..paradise was pretty good as week and the falls was incredible so smooth..Eddie money shit I’d take two tickets to paradise if paradise was the falls earlier. Fun session skied till almost 10 then had some beers in the lot..and one of MBike mikes famous beef and cheese sangs..hit the spot. Now back in the A..hoping the temperature drops nice and low tonight so some snowmaking will occur in the early AM. JADIP

People out here seem to have a thing against the bar. I get dirty looks and sighs from most when I say it’s coming down.

The person doesn’t even know the details of the story. People who “ski” at the bar wonder why I bother with blue since they may have been to Colorado or Vermont 3 years ago. Other folks just don’t know how it’s possible that blue still has snow because it was sixty today. I try and pay them no mind...bunch of dumbdickmotherfuckers. Salty where were you today? I waited like four hours for you. Did you park up top?

It’s the last day of 2018. What is your favorite picture of the year and why? This was taken in Hawaii when we went to get my son settled in his apartment. At the time my youngest had trouble being in crowded places without having a panic attack. We went to the North Shore and found a completely empty beach and spent the day there. The bar goes down on every lift ride for me. Once you pull it down and get a ski on it, it’s not going back up. I’ve had people complain on the lift about it. Too bad, if they don’t like the bar down, they are free to find another chair.

I think you are right. The whole hardcore thing, pretty ridiculous. Everyone trying to one up each other. Like; “I went for a hike today”. “But I hiked a 14er today.” “Well I rode my bike from Boulder to Estes Park, hiked Longs Peak...before work.” Kind of gets exhausting

Cant understand how anyone can fall off unless they're screwing around. Sometimes I end up sitting by tools who think they're too cool for safety and dont want the bar down. In that case I tightly grip the back of the chair. Fortunately that is rare.

I was only there for like an hour just now. Bumps were dope.

Thats really terrible news to hear. condolences. Hard to write a report after that news but... Today was a blast! Took one run and figured Id wait in the corral for the PASR crew which turned out to be Doug, Jeff, JFDan, MBike Mike, snowbunski. Then we lost MBike and bunski, picked up TP4 along the way and me and TP4 ended up taking like 6+? laps together after the rest went to the lot. @theprogram4 nice meeting you brotha. @mbike-ski thanks again for the balboa sandwich.

Today was really good. Bacon and mimosas to start, following by incredibly smooth corn snow. After a beer, I went out for a run around the mean streets of Little Gap. Upon my return Mbike had some steak sandwich and a beer waiting. Great way to start the year.

No sugar today was nice spring snow. Happy New Years Root!!

Utah is a great place to start your trips West. We've been to Utah 5 or 6 times. We usually do a VRBO and stay in the area between the Little and Big Canyons Cottonwood Canyons. We also rent a car or two and drive to one of the many mountains in the region, usually a different one every day. That being said, since there are going to only be the two of you, a hotel in Park City would work better for you. No need to rent a car if you are only going to ride Park City, there is excellent free bus transportation in PC, and you should easily be able to catch a bus from the airport to PC. You can also ride Wolf Mountain(?), Used to be PC West. I think Deer Valley still has a boarder ban... I could be very wrong however.... Again the PC public busses will be able to get you there no problem. My first trip West was to PC..... GO FOR IT!!!
