Arrived at 8:20 AM to 18° and sunny skies. Saw TP4, VTMark and bethlehem Ford guy in the house. Got the second chair up and went to Challenge first. Some cookies and some uneven grooming but I’m happy it’s open. Hit that that twice and then went to Main Street. Main Street was a perfect groomer. Smooth, dry snow. Lazy and Paradise we’re also really nice but Main Street was my ROTD. New trails open for me included Challenge, Lower Park, and the crossover under the 6 pack from Home Stretch to Lower Park. Blowing was on NMDW, Lower Sidewinder, Switchback, and a couple spots on open trails. Razors was still being pushed out with 2 cats on it. Skied until 10 and now I’m off to work. I’ll be back at it Saturday. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk5 points

Hey All, I’m back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot around 635pm and phillycore was just finishing up and also in the house were Atomic Jeff, Shadows, PARidge and MBIke mike along with about 20 buses. Temperatures were in the upper 20s with increasing clouds and moderate winds. Challenge was pretty slick, Main Street was pretty nice, lazy mile was as crazy as ever and paradise was good snow and no SP3000 action. The last two runs or snow it was snowing and I said that it probably wasn’t sticking in the A which atomic Jeff found funny...had a few parking lot beers and ready for some weather this weekend..JADIP we jamming..clock is off by an hour it came that way In March it will be the correct time4 points

Fun night. Decent pretty much throughout with some slick spots to keep things interesting (crowds also kept things interesting). Snow cannons were on and in full force. We're only days away from Razors, NMDW and Switchback all being open. Exciting times!3 points

I thought main street, lazy and paradise were straight money today. Challenge was awesome for the simple fact that it was open. Best conditions out of the 7 days I've been there..... Conditions were on a diet and Sugar Free Perfect...so I don't get the diabeeeeeeetis Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk3 points

Holy shit. Hits home when those are the lines you ski all the time. Posted this video years ago, but this is where the slide occurred:3 points

Thanks for the report Mute...the crossover under the 6 pack is a great run...so many nooks and crannies to explore. Woo woo for lower park...been enough cross country skiing this season.3 points

The Mount Mik Weather Forecasters are calling for 4-6” with a thick coating of ice, followed by rain and a rapid freeze. Tubing should be prime on Monday.2 points

I was up late morning, and it was excellent. A whole school of Hasidic Jews arrived just as I got there, so that was fun.2 points

It happens so rarely, the bird was the last one I can think of. It really means its a light news day but Eurp got crazy snow, 99 I think was the super crazy year when half of small mtn towns were buried.1 point

I’ve been away from this place for a week and it looks 100x better. They are pushing out Razors/back, lower park, Central Park, and blowing on NMDW, Switchback, and still parts of Razors along with other random fan guns. Challenge is a nice addition and WidowMaker is open as well. I guess the only things not being targeted right now are Sidewinder and Lower Sidewinder? Conditions were decent this morning compared to other Blue Mountain days. Challenge was cookies but then it was closed for a few race team elites. Everything else was 7/10 for grooming and snow quality. Flurries were flying all morning and it was cloudy. Called it quits at 10:00 before I have to head in to work. I’ll probably be up Friday morning next. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

I’ll be up tonight around 645ish...I hope I can ski all 26 trails...maybe tomorrow morning as well depending on how much snow falls.1 point

Lower park looks goooooooooooood, cant wait to ride it. Also, the riders right rail line looks awesome with rails that should be challenging enough to keep the noobs off of them and ruining the lips.1 point

The forecast is getting weaker and weaker. "Snow and ice accumulating 5 to 8 inches". Sounds like snow with a crunchy crust on top. Salty's RTMs would rock in conditions like this.1 point

I wasn't so lucky then. For me this year it always had the most amount of dirty sugar often even with ground showing. It's a windy narrow trail for newbies with the most aggressive speed monitoring on the mountain, and it shows. People are continuously scraping it and piling up mounts of snow. But then again, I'm typically there at night, mornings could be a whole different animal. And yesterday it was surprisingly on par with the other trails.1 point

So, JFBB did confirm that vouchers bought before Jan 1, will not have a surcharge. New ticket sales will have the $3 surcharge. They stopped communicating with me when i asked why other mountains serviced by PPL were not issuing a surcharge.1 point

If given the opportunity to pay a few extra bucks and stay on site for a wedding I'm doing it every time. Getting bused to and from a venue sucks.1 point

Blue had more new snow then Alta, sure. Did Alta have more snow? Sure. We met up with Ryan at Alta today for some turns. He gave us a rowdy tour of the place. We sidestepped/traversed all the way out to Eddie’s High Nowhere/East Greeley bowl which had variable conditions at the bottom. We also skied Spiney Chutes in Catherine’s which was heavy, but soft snow. Towards the end of our day, we saw someone skiing down East Baldy with no other tracks to be seen. Up the mountain we went. 15 minutes later we made some great turns through a chute that lead to some glorious wind buffed pow. Ryan and I look the same in photos. I have the brighter blue pants.1 point

The ski gods continue to deliver for me. Today was a bluebird sunny day, with amazing groomers. I did one more hike up to Juarez and one up to west blitz and both were soft skied out powder. Not bad at all. What made today amazing were rope drops on the entire front side steeps. I skied a top to bottom al’s run in untouched powder. Today was the first day it opened this season. Mind blowing for me. I did that twice which was totally exhausting. Skied a little with my kids in the afternoon after everything was skied out and my legs were cooked. Great ski trip. Scenic pics Looking up the ridge toward Juarez About to drop in My tracks on al’s West basin looking great Getting Refreshments on the St. Bernard deck Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk1 point
