Really cold today. 6 pack not running. Razors is silky smooth and grippy. Made it worth the drive to get some empty Razors runs in. Headwind is fierce. Pretty empty for a holiday. Did 7 runs and had to warm up/get a little vaked before heading back out.

I had to put something in the mailbox. You should be receiving literature on Sun rooms, adult diapers, and taking part in a new study about menstrual cramps, in 2-4 weeks.

Its so good, razors is fucking perfect. Cold but with the sun totally reasonable. Yo Root,........me, edge, telematt and his friend are out, we yelled but you rolled by.

Just got flights and booked rooms in Jackson for March 9th-14th... Anything to do there during that time of year???

Staying at the PASR famous 49er. The "anything to do there that time of year" was just a joke that missed, lol. Although, my cousin who I'm going with is only 22 and still likes to party, so we probably end up going out for a night or two.

Awesome. You'll miss my by a few days. Where are you staying? What do you mean what is there to do? You shred the white wave all day, you are so exhausted that you come back, eat dinner, and pass out after sitting in a hot tub. Enjoy!

I'm getting jaded the older i get. I would not enjoy this. I'm procrastinating making the short walk to the mailbox, and probably wont go out to get lunch. Good work by you Root.

Sunday funday, 15-18" with thigh high drifts. Went up early and skied 2 untracked runs off M1, Black Hole to Freefall, Then upper FIS to Dempsey's. Pristine powder, a wee denser than I thought. Temps started at 2 degrees and by the time I hiked over to Stowe it was a balmy 10 degrees. We met at the bottom of the Sensation quad and opted to stay on Spruce, low crowds and less chunder. Skied a run down Sterling and we opted to stick to some glades for less bumpiness. Stowe gets tracked out pretty quickly. Did 4 runs there and headed back to Smuggs. Dennis's daughter is on a race team and was up at Stowe for training. She tweaked her knee and he had to check out and take her home. Took him 3 hours to get to Stowe from S. Burlington; Mountain Road was a Joey show with baloney skin tires. Ryan and I did 2 bowl runs off Sterling to the Notch road. Temps started dropping below 0 and the winds were picking up by the time I got to my car. Still snowing pretty hard right now. I think we will total out over 20" by Monday AM. Now, I'm gonna "serve" Toast with pics.....cuz it happened. Gondy rides were unnecessary due to 10 degree temps and mild wind. So, maybe gondy pix another day. Smuggs conditions are way better than Stowe due to smaller crowds and slowski doubles. Quality over quantity rules. Just my opinion, still nice to be able to go over there. Stowe:

Instructor dude on the lift said sixer is fine, that they planned on running only the quad due to no crowd and it took an extra minute to get up in the cold. It ran just fine and there were some pretty strong gusts today.

All of their detachable lifts have issues when it isn't 60 degrees and sunny with no breeze. They are so crappy.

When razors is good that’s all I ski...

Steezy and it’s called a quad..way to get after it. You know you got to ski razors this season before me...on Saturday I did challenge first and missed out on razors. Don’t worry I’m not a jealous hater all I can say is way to get after it!!

No it’s down the hallway $2 for wash $2 for dry can use my credit card..modern as fuck.

Ahhh it’s not that bad...gonna get lunch soon..put together a bank deposit..maybe work on a mailer then go back to hotel and do laundry or as some like to call it The Wash. little two day break from the slopes has me feening for real dough

Thanks. Try to leave early. I'll probably stay 2-3 hours. Wearing my face mask and fighter pilot goggles since it's bright. Last year one of the funnest days I had were in below zero temps.

Yeah snow will be good and smooth..stick to the sides if the middle is blown off. If I didn’t have work today I’d go up for an hour and a half..although you might want the day to decompress after a strenuous 2.5 hour flight from Flo Rida

My garage doors were frozen shut this morning it was so cold. I had to manually open them to unbreak them from being frozen to the ground.

Didn't even crack open the new issue yet. Nice write up. Another tidbit: Smuggs is the only resort in at least VT that has an unlimited supply of water for snowmaking ever since they laid pipe and a pumping station in the Lamoille River 2 years ago.

Me and my Junior All Mountain team kids at Loveland on Saturday. Got on the snowcat and caught the rope drop on Velvet Hammer. It was pretty sweet!

Smuggs is 7" shy of JH snow totals this year. True story. Might surpass it by tomorrow. Best VT january since I moved up here.

Just arrived at the Top Lodge at Blue Mountain the True Mountain (tm)(c)(r). Booted up in the lodge due to severe icing in the parking lot (though it is mostly Salted). Overheard several jabronis talking about frozen extremities, so I may take a break every 44 minutes or so. Looks pretty sick out there and not so crowded. Will post updates as the day develops. WNEP news is here again. JADIP dress like a Cosmonaut.
