Here's my plan. Hopefully I'll meet everyone at approximately the same time upon their arrival at the lower parking lot. I'll then escort them to a Semi-Secret Location (SSL) adjacent to the upper parking lot. At the SSL we'll claim a couple of picnic tables and you'll be able to relieve your aching bladders etc. from the long drive to Deep South Vermont (DSV). From the SSL you'll be able to gear up in warm comfort and begin your adventure on the slopes of DSV. The SSL is a ski-in/ski-out location. Depending on the size of our group, I will provide 4-6 racks of smoked baby back ribs, 1-2 quarts of baked beans (ammo for the ride home), 1-2 quarts of macaroni salad, paper plates, utensils etc. If you don't think that will be enough meat products, you're welcome to bring additional and there is an open fire pit where it can be grilled at the SSL. Please provide your own liquid libations and any other items of merriment you wish. Since it seems you are talking about morning tickets, I will plan on lunch at 1:00 p.m. When you are ready to go home, if any would like to take a brief tour of TLCITW I'll be happy to be your guide. Enjoy! Enjoy! the Great Outdoors of DSV.....6 points

A lot of fun. Made my daughter get out of bed and go with me. First runs of the year on NMDW and Switchback...God how I missed them so! Each were spectacular. Great conditions everywhere except challenge which was cookiefied. Great morning... probably going back tonight for the winterfest and to ski with my 9 yo. Pics below of my kid and a few others on switchback and a gate shot. Yeah I know the race team sucks but it looked cool5 points

Woke up this morning feeling pretty sore. Since today was my free clinic I decided to let my friend use it since she had not signed up for any and was just using the free wall. I did a few routes on the free wall today. There was a competition goin gin that I watched for a while. Those athletes did some insane moves! Competition route. Ice, then rock, then more ice, then man made holds. Next year we may skip the festival and hire a private instructor for a day, then climb ourselves a day. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk4 points

Nice morning at Frost. 12 degrees and cloudy at the start, but the sun started coming out. They were still grooming East Mountain until about 9, Floyds and Solitude were in great shape, Rivershot had sections of some loose snow from what was blown after it was groomed. Thunderbolt and Exhibition were freshly groomed, Challenge was like Rivershot with some areas of loose blown snow. Not too crowded, left around 11 when the little kids started hitting Tbolt. Things were in great shape after last week's rain and the radio station Friday.3 points

Bought a night pass for Shawnee on Liftopia for only $29. Since I've only skied at Blue so far this season decided to change it up, since I haven't been there in 2 years. May or may not eat at the same Chinese restaurant I used to stop at when I skied at Camelback. Cant wait to see how they altered my favorite trail there, Lower Delaware, with a terrain park.2 points

Hey All, I’m back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I pulled into the lower lot at 720am and it was around 20 degrees under partly sunny sky’s. In the house were Atomic Jeff, JFDan, employee who parks in our row, Johnny Law, Antman Toast, Ryan, PARidge, Mute, GSSucks, Schifdawg, Indiggio, Enjorales, Enjorales Dad, MBike mike, Nastar Glenn, Nastar Glenn’s daughter, Mrs snowbunski and many others. Razors was closed for races..first run was on challenge which was pretty smooth but also lipstick on a pig conditions, Main Street was a carpet was very grippy and nice..a little slow but you can’t have everything. Nightmare to dreamweaver had real nice cord earlier and switchback was nice initially as well. Crowds were moderate and no lift lines until close to 930 and later after I was done skiing looked like the lines backed up to the scanners which isn’t that crazy for mid season. Total Asian invasion and definitely some folks out for their first time for the season. Parking lot was fun..today was snack Sunday with cheese balls and cheddar horseradish kettle cooked chips..elite stud and tomorrow is sausage Sunday and the weather looks nice...Some nice quality runs the first hour and based on what people said conditions remained good at least past noon. Today was awesome. The snow was fantastic, but switchback got a little slick by the end of the morning. Big thanks to @JFskiDan who hooked me up with some K2 shreditors to demo today. Those things skied like a dream and also for thanks for hanging with me for a bit since I know I'm not exactly fast and I was like a bull in a china shop in the lift line. I got all over the mountain today and skied everything this side of the main street chair except Nightmare, Razors and Challenge. Tomorrow I might venture to the other side of the main street chair to check out the activities of the Winter Carnival. Overall it was a kick ass day. Dan, just let me know if you want a 32 oz of : Meme Fatigue Hazy IPA Dry Hopped with Mosaic & Simcoe / 7.2%, or Schmoojee Peach Tart Cherry Heavily Fruited Sour Ale with Lactose / 7.0% as a down payment on the rental.2 points

Ahhh another year at the ice fest. Was great to break up the trip staying in CB first. Left nice and early this morning to make sure we got a spot at the top lot and so we got a good spot in line at the demo tents. After getting my crampons and tools I decided to also demo a very warm Rab puffy. Took it off for climbing but when belaying or standing around had it on and it made all the difference. Very cold today. Three of us were on time and ready for the clinic, the other 3 people showed up 10 min late and did not have on their harness or crampons on. How fucking annoying! Then we descended into the gorge. That is always super sketchy. At the bottom looking what we just came down. I belayed 3 people before I climbed, so my arms were tired when I started. I had a hard time with my first climb and didn’t get very high. Second one was better but still not great. I’m calling today a warm up day and hopefully tomorrow I will get higher and be more relaxed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk1 point

I've also noticed that for the first time this year. At first I wasn't sure if I could see all the way to philly from there, but then thought there won't be anything that tall between there and philly1 point

Sadly no rollover for us. I gave back 4 days this year, but to be fair I wasn’t really “working” the last 4 months of the year. Supposed to be an automated app coming soon where we can submit for time off and and know right away if it’s approved, and have an automated waitlist if not.1 point
