  1. Today was fucking insane. Forecast yesterday was 4-8". 9" at 6am. 15" by 9am. The picture of Doug is on a fucking groomer! Every turn I made on Grand was over the head. So many face shots all over the mountain today. The picture(s) of me are in the Cirque. I almost disappeared in the one pic. Probably another 12"+ after the lifts close today.

  2. Great trip, really fun time skiing and hanging out with Jeff, Doug, Mike and Tom. A little bit of me wishes my timing was a little different, but had 4 great days of skiing, that cant be replicated on the east coast That being said, this will go down as my first and worst travel experience ever. Pretty much everybody has had travel issues. My flight from Dallas almost didnt attempt to go to JH. It left late, got to JH with no vis, and then went to SLC. After about an hour at slc, we went back to JH. I spent alot of time on an airplane that day. My tolerence for sitting still is about 45 mins. This was a rough day for me. The worst was Mike having to drive from SLC to JH. Jeff, Doug and Mike spent most of the day at newark after thier flight was canned Tom is getting back to Phl maybe 2 hrs before me, although he left 6 1/2 hrs before me. I think his flight out was a-ok though. No Saltyant BS complaining here, like when has burger isnt centered on the bun or theres only 2 pickles instead of 3. Wont be looking for any gift cards from anyone, hell i dont even know where my skis and undies are at this point. What i do know, is this is part of what we do, flying around in the winter has its risks, it altered some times, made for a long day at times, but so far didnt fuck up anybodys trip yet. No second thoughts here if all this was a good idea or not. it was. Merder the Perder, fellas.

  4. 2/10/19 Day 5 of 7 *****Powder day***** Hey All, I’m finished with another fun day at Jackson hole mountain resort. Arrived at the bottom of the gondola at 745am and were the first in line. We were joined by two snowboarders from Denver who work in the marijuana industry. At around 910am after a couple of rounds of avalanche bombs the liftees got the all clear from top shack and we had first civilian gondola. Ampitheater to the thunder chair was so deep. I was screaming. Up thunder and down grand to the Sublette chair..holy shit so deep and I was getting mouthfuls of snow every other turn...was amaze balls. Atomic Jeff got a picture of me I’m sure he’ll post later. Up Sublette and over to the cirque which was completely untracked..that’s where I got a picture of Atomic Jeff where you could only see his head..we got more pow pow wow perder off the nez perce traverse...back to thunder. By now alot of the Colorado Ikon pass people had made it up the mountain and most of them were here for their first trip and had no idea where to go which meant more untracked for Moi...to get three untracked runs on the left side of Grand is unheard of. Had two untracked in the cirque as well... Liftlines were not as bad as I thought they would be I think some were blindesided by the 9” of new snow as of 6am which was more like 15” for opening. The only places you really felt bottom were areas that were heavily moguled before. I also had my second best Hobacks run..will be hard to top the 21” day back in 2016 where it was deep right to the bottom but the middle of the Hobacks had tons of untracked and ample faceshots while the entrance and exit were a little rough. At the base of the Hobacks there was still like 8” of new blower. All in all today we skied something like 16,000 vert which is a good amount but not crazy but at least 2/3 of that was untracked powder and th majority of the rest was lightly tracked where you crossed some tracks but could make turns in untracked swaths... Action shots to come later..no scenic shots..oh and I only fell in one tree well today but I extracted myself out pretty easily.

  12. Hey everyone, I’m Antmans cousin. As many of you know, he can’t ride the rest of this season which is a huge bummer. Can’t wait till next season to ride with ya again cuz. We were both peak pass holders this season so I decided to head out towards roundtop today. Was not sure what to expect at all considering the trail map doesn’t show you too much detail. Rolled outta my house at 630 and got there around 830. Not too crowded at all. They were blowing snow all night and still when I left there which was a super nice touch. They left some trails not groomed so there was a few trails that had some major whale sightings. All in all the mountian was very similar to Jack Frost. Snow was super nice. Trails were too long and lifts lines were very fast. Terrain park was a little on the smaller side but still fun. Below are a few pics from the mountian. After this I ran over to liberty which is also on the peak pass. Place was jammed packed. Snow was beat up. The mountain looks like it has so much potential to be a lot of fun but it was just too crowded and icy today to really experience it all. Cheers!

  19. Fun morning. Was up for first chair and skied til almost 11. The snow was more firm then yesterday but less wind and lift lines were mild. Challenge was rough but everything else was firm and grippy. NM/DW opened around 10 but Razor’s was closed for a race. Johnny Law, TP4, Shif, MattEdge, Indiggo, GSSucks, Justo, Rose, KT, and Ty were in attendance. Hung in the lot for a beer and dipped out around 1130. Probably not as fun as JHMR this morning though! #jhdreaming Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  24. Great day today and way warmer than yesterday too. Nice surprise inch of snow made things a tiny bit softer and trees were great fun again. Today was my last day at Jackson Hole this year but I hope I’ll be able to come back in the near future. Got a few pics of JFSkiDan in Washakie.

  25. Day 4. Last ski day for me. Great day. Just a little bit of snow fell overnight, and it was just enough to make the morning groomers silky smooth, and put down a nice refresh layer in the trees. Ran a bunch of groomers off Thunder and Sublet. I missed yesterdays run down Saratoga bowl, so we headed over in a round about way to Teton quad where Dooglas left for his snacks. NMSKI and Atomic made a detour down Washakie Glade, I choose to stick to the groomer knowing my legs were gonna go away fast, and i really wanted to check out Saratoga Bowl. Up Apres Vous to Saratoga Bowl. Fun stuff in Saratoga, trees, bumps, what have you. Good stuff. This didnt seem like a heavily traveled area, and its probably because the traverse back out is spicey. Back out at the lift, Dooglas caught up to us. Back up Apres-Vous. With the forecast for the next few days looking snowy, Doug and Jeff, called it, and went to the Unkept Moose to grab us a table. Legs were feeling OK, and Tom is always up to make that one last run. At the top, we planned on just dabbling in and out of the trees, making out way to the bottom. We heading back into the Washakie Glades, which were fun, but popular. We were taking our time, and about halfway down, we decided to try to stay in the trees all the way to the bottom. We made it about as far down as possible, ending in a very untraveled area that had lots of perder in it, which made me think we would end up in a creek at anytime. No creeks and we made it out unscathed. Some pics from today. I think the camera on my phone is lacking in the clarity department, but here we go.

  28. Jackson hole locals complain about the crowds brought on by the Ikon pass. This was Park city today. Longest line I waited in at JH maybe 5-6 minutes earlier.

  29. Saturday was firm but pretty good, (I thought it was going to be bad because of the warmth on Friday then quick overnight freeze). As indiggio said the bumps were good. I was back up this morning and everything was better than Saturday, 19 degrees when I arrived with no wind. Crowd was much smaller than yesterday, razors and NMDW were closed for racing. The blue baumer glade was really slick, I think you could run a luge through there, it is like skiing in a large rain gutter. Be back Tuesday a.m. depending on the forecasted ice storm.

  32. Because skis are much better transportation than boots. Please don’t take off skis on a ski slope even if it’s flat..you have poles and can skate. Taking off skis on a mogul run or in the woods can actually be very dangerous and can lead to death, dismemberment or castration.

  35. Invisible Charc is definitely not giffcards. He actually has the capability of rational thought, even though it’s most of the time misdirected. This wasn’t even a bad TR, just waxing a bit too poetic for the crowd about a subject most of the crowd doesn’t care much for (parks) using references most wouldn’t get unless they carried a subscription to Thrasher magazine back in the day and count among their most worldly possessions their VHS copy of Gleaming the Cube. I’m sure Blue stealing from us is about how they take our money for lift tickets only to make us stand in long lines on the weekend, and also close 2-4 trails for racing despite charging full price. Oh, and also how their website promises trails grand vistas of the Rockies but fails to deliver.
