Arrived in the LP not too long ago. Snowed pretty much from the Catskills to Lake Placid. Didn't make road conditions too terrible on 87 but definitely forced me to keep the speeds down a bit. Still made pretty good time despite that. 73 (the road through Kean into LP) was sketchy in spots (pic below) which hopefully means good things for conditions on the mountain tomorrow. The stoke levels are pretty high right now. Headed to town now to find food and maybe a birthday present for my wife.10 points

Hey All, Im back from a fun night session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at 6:38PM and it was in the upper 20s with light winds. In the house were Atomic Jeff, Johnny Law and a couple hundred peeps mainly younger snowboarders..just a few buses. Razors was open..horray and it was nice..amazing what a little manmade snow can do to eliminate the sugar and turn the snow into soft chalk. I skied Razors Edge every run but one run on nightmare dreamweaver which still has a few Root rollers but has mellowed out a little bit I liked Razors better even though NMDW was a bit faster. I skied until 8:50pm and then enjoyed a milkshake beer Atomic Jeff brought and perpetual that has been sitting in my backseat for a week. I was tired when I arrived at Blue but the skiing gave me a burst of energy. When returning to my hotel with my ski boots in my hand some homeys from Baton Rouge LA were like,”you ski”..a variation from “Jew ski” and I said yeah I’m a skier and the dude gave me a fist 🤛 real grown man shit right there..damn it feels good to be a skier!!!!5 points

Leaving around noon. I think I picked the right days to ski up there this week. Tomorrow should be good if the forecast holds. Possible 5 inches overnight on the mountain.5 points

My favorite view from Eldora is at the top of Muleshoe. 19 degrees and socked in fog when I left Boulder. Inversion by the time I got to the mountain, 36 and bright sunshine. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk4 points

Mixed impressions today. Weather and conditions were great, reminded me of mid December - moderately cold, nice grippy snow w/o all that choppiness or sugar, hard to believe that it's almost March. Paradise and Lazy had the best hero snow. Sidewinder was in worse shape, I could feel occasional icy spots, and the skis would often slide sideways if loaded. Switchback was just OK, and Razor was closed for BMR. Lots of snowmaking across the mountain. They completely closed lower Sidewinder and blew mounds of snow on top of the quad. I wonder if the idea is to push it down the Coming Soon trail. Would be fun if so. Somebody on the lift said that the long-term forecast is calling for cold March, so the season is far from being over. Bad part was that Blue managed to screw up what would otherwise be a perfect night. Six pack didn't work, so by 7 lines at the Quad were up to the turnstiles, and no freaking line management! People would just ride in pairs, kids would cut the line ("oh, I have friends over there"), I felt like it was middle of a weekend rather than a Wednesday night. Stupid thing is that there weren't that many people. The slopes felt empty, but lines were unbelievable sometimes.3 points

The cookies at the Elk Country Inn were pretty good. Not sure if you had any, so if you didnt, for future reference, they were pretty good.3 points

I'm sure Ryan, @mute1080, and I will be able to accommodate the needs of PASR as well, if conditions allow. I only post for the likes (and an occasional love) anyway.3 points

Plenty of us have buddy passes that go unused. Just let us know. This is open to anybody, but @rummy and friend definitely have first dibs for their hospitality.3 points

Dammit, i always turn on pasr after i eat. I should have taken a pic. Grilled zucchini, squash, mushrooms, onions with ground chicken, diced tomatoes with a little shredded cheddar cheese on top. Might sound a little odd, but its fucking delicious. Sometimes i sort of do the same thing with cabbage. Last night i had parmesean garlic pork tenderloin with some fresh farmers market green beans. Tenderloin was on par with what enjoralas does on the grill on sausage sunday. I had the leftovers for lunch today at work and it was just as good someone even said that it smelled awesome as i was walking past them. It was actually the guy that put his pizza in the microwave for 40 minutes about 2 years ago. if you guys have a good memory you will remember i posted picks of the microwave, it actually caught on fire, and the office smelled like burnt plastic.2 points

Yes. Even if there isn't untracked, Saratoga is incredibly fun. On a snowboard I'd keep an eye out for a "high traverse". The real Saratoga Bowl traverse can be a spicy meatball @NMSKI @toast21602, @mute1080, and Ryan need to ski all the way to the traverse just for a good laugh.2 points

The weather will be, like Dinah Shore. I don't get wound up over it because there's not much I can do about it, but ski the snow that was dealt.2 points

Goal number 1 complete. You made it to your trip in one piece..you have a direct flight so your luggage should make it..if not I wouldn’t expect any RTMs to be available for rent in JH..they’re the hot ski, especially the 84s..2 points

Last night was 10/10 boner doner on NMDW. NMDW has way better visibility at night time than it does in the morning. First time all year you could really attack it, and attack it we did. Was nice to only ski NMDW and Razors for 2 hours.2 points

If you have any interest in skiing Blue some weekend I might I have buddy pass for you...2 points

The one year before JH the forecast didn’t look that great and someone hated even said that and we had like four and a half powder days. The weather is like a box of chocolate is sometimes is sometimes hot sticky and sweet. Another year is was boney and Philpug was coming the next week and I kept saying wow it’s gonna be rough for Philpug and it snowed 60” for him.1 point

Yeah I’m happy I can swing Colorado in April with all the money I’ve spent this season on gear plus JH trip. Sure ideally I’d have been in JH for this storm cycle..with toast and mute and Ryan...with you and tarpenhead then a side trip to Taos to ski with NMSki. It’s still fun watching the webcams from work.1 point

Out of the goodness of his heart Johnny Law is giving away skis given to him from an Adirondack skiing legend. 1) this isn't a one star thread for that reason alone. 2) if no one takes them you're stupid as shit.1 point

Tonight was top 10 snow of the season. NMDW was perfect and like the second day it was open. It's so much fun to be able to attack the turns on that trail full out with nobody around.1 point

I use Expresspark North lot. Its on my way to the airport. i have never had a problem there. 6 days were $60 all in. I went the Enjorales root once and parked at the valet thing, but i hated it. seemed like it just took forever for everything to happen. I find the shuttle to be super easy, they pull right up to your car...etc. not sure how the economy bus is set up for 2 bags and skis.1 point
