  2. Awesome day. My first titty sparkles shimmering during the first couple runs. It was magical. Almost made a mess in my pants getting off at the top of the tram. Saw a friend that I use to work with at Blues tubing in the AV lift line. She lives out of here now living out of her pimp van. First run down amphitheater today I took a spill and had to get my ski. Just kidding, I wouldn’t do that. Ryan might. No tumbles but I tipped over in the trees once. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  5. Just popped into the Mangy Moose. Another great day on the slopes of JH. Lots of people were calling us the best skiers on the mountain, but I had to correct them and remind them that @GSSucks wasn’t here. Well write an actual report later of what we skied. Yolo.

  6. Oh hello everybody. @mute1080 and @toast21602 here. This was our second day at JH. We started with th second tram up to the top. Started from the bottom now we here. Took a run down to peek over Corbets. Looked a bit sketch but I still want to ski it. Then we dipped over to ski part of rendezvous bowl and down. I skied the woods next to bivouac and down to Sublette. Rode up, and skied a similar run again near bivouac. Sublette again. I skied some nice lines down Bernie’s bowl and Ryan met me at the bottom after skiing Wally World. Lines picked up so we took south pass traverse to gros ventri and ripped that groomer with nobody on it back to the gondola. Decided to take sweet water to checkout some of that other area. Skied a few runs of apres vous and then ended up Casper restaurant for a beer and water stop. Skied a bit more off of Casper and apres vous. Took some great groomers back to the gondola. A few more nice runs down amphitheater, and i took cascade once to check it out. After a good day of skiing, we ended with a run down riverton bowl to lower tram line, to the mangy moose. Ended up being a great day. Pics to come.

  7. J/K. We actually decided to rest today and do the Salty plan. We went on a tour of the local firehouse. It’s no mint, but was worth the time.

  8. Rose way too early to meet the bus at P&R at 33/78 by 3:30am, only to find about 2” of snow had fallen here, which should make for a nice morning up at Blue. Arrived at the P&R about 3:15am to find Slim already waiting in the lot and a bus being loaded, unfortunately not our bus. 3:30am, our targeted load time, rolled by and still no bus. A few others pulled in and asked if we’re Jackson Hole bound and then parked. Bus finally pulled in about 3:45am and we quickly loaded and departed right at our scheduled 4:00am time. Checked out flight out of JFK and it’s already delayed an hour. Hopefully an uneventful ride to JFK. Everyone’s excited and thinking snow!

  11. Today was awesome. First run was worth the entire pass. Killer snow. I was on my snowboard all day and spent a lot of time noodling around on the edges of trails and even dipped into the glade at the top of lazy which was surprisingly fun. I demoed a board and despite the fact that I didn't love it, I had fun on it and even took it on the Root under the six pack which was oddly skiable and really fun. One of the funniest things I saw all day though was a very little kid in the woods to the right of the six pack coming down a brown twig covered bike trail and yelling back to the older kid behind him, "This was a really bad idea!!!" Sorry I missed the BMDI but I had to run. Killer day though

  12. The 3200 vert at Whiteface is more vertical than most western resorts..I think it’s badass that rarely opened natural snow runs were open and even more badass that Ridge was back at it again today on first chair at Blue!!!!

  13. Rummy 68, Big Al 69, and Dad 70, are heading out to MT tomorrow on our 35th annual " StagTrip". This trip will complete our list of skiing the top 30 Western Resorts in the USA and Canada. The rankings are from readers of Ski Magazine several years ago and I'm sure have changed somewhat over the years. But anyway close enough... Overnight tonight at a "park and fly" hotel, then fly out of Dulles / Minneapolis / Kalispell. Rented a VRBO in Whitefish. Walking distance to bars, restaurants, grocery store and shuttle bus to the Mountain. No car necessary as transfers from/to airport are booked as well. Conditions are real nice ( not quite JH nice) and weather is good for next week with some snow, but mostly sunshine predicted. We got a real deal on lift tickets. Dad skis Free at 70, one week's pass comes with the rental, and an old phartz 4 of 6 day pass is $207. We'll split that $207 three ways at a cost of about $13.00 per ticket. I'll keep the crew posted.....

  14. Hey All, I’m back from a fun morning at Blue mountain the true mountain. I left about 15 minutes early and there was a solid 3” of heavy new snow on my car. I arrived at the lower lot at 718am and in the house were Atomic Jeff, Salty, ZZSlope, Johnny Law, MBike Mike, JFDan, PARidge Root, Enjorales, Enjorales Dad, Schifdawg, GahSkier George, Joan and many more. As was dilly dallying around 7:38am I saw JackFrostDan with skis over his shoulder along with law and I was like wow this is real today and it was really real from first chair until 930am. Untracked on challenge for my first run others did Razors which according to Atomic Jeff was way better..then I did Razors and yeah titties deep on a Dachshund..Razorback was especially nice and floaty as was the falls. I had about 8th tracks down Switchback at 820am and it was so good I know Salty had Virgin tracks down it for his first run. Took the Burma chair up to widowmaker which was titties deep on a Pomeranian..woo so good so good so good sweet Caroline was a fucking slut..the boys went to vista lift I went back to the six pack...then over to X-ing so deep.. I had some guy ask if I was on water skis today..yeah Eaf not a day for your ladies slalom skis. Not many gapers out except there was a Ski2Live sighting on widowmaker. I did the Burma chair again and tracked out widowmaker further then sidewinder which was nice despite the Root rollers and ended on Switchback which was spicy 3D snow. After some time in the lot, me, Salty, JLaw, Enjorales and dad went to the BMDI..thanks JLaw for paying the tab and others for contributing to the tip.. For a day where it seemed like most of the PASRs are on ski trips there was a nice turnout and tomorrow is sausage Sunday and I can play Dr. Phil with Matt Edge..JADIP

  22. Had a pretty good day at Scranton's premier airboarding resort and waterpark... Got there around 9:30, little later than expected. Friend met me in Allentown and I drove from there. He was running late, so I picked up some beer at Whole Foods. Snow was pretty decent still when we got there, still a good bit of fresh stuff on some of the trails. White Lightning was pretty good and still some fresh snow off of the side of Smoke. Long Haul was running all day so did a bunch of runs off of that. Rattler to Cannonball was also pretty good up. Hit some of the glades off of Upper Fast Track, snow was pretty good, but a little slow, especially since that section isn't that steep. Hopefully the storm Sunday will fill some stuff in on the bottom section of the mountain. Today was Mountainfest or whatever with pond skimming, so we caught a bit of that. Not that exciting, but watched a few people wipe out. There was a local beer distributor giving out free burgers and beer at the top of the Phoebe Snow lift, which was awesome. They had cans of Troeg's Hop Knife and some Stone IPA's and lagers. Also brought along a few beers from Levante, and I picked up some Left Hand Raspberry Milk Stout at Whole Foods that was pretty good. Hit Breaker Brewing on the way home, had a flight and some tacos.

  23. I did an install years ago at a motel that had a flyer posted behind the desk for employees that listed helpful phrases in English and the Spanish translation. The first one on the list was "How many hours?" There was also a sign posted for public view that said "No refunds after 15 minutes." I made sure not to touch the beds.

  27. Got there around 9. Everything was nice and soft. Got a little cream-cheese heavy after about 11, but whatever. New skis are great - Blizzard Rustler 9s. Only concern is, maybe should have gotten the 188 instead of the 180s. Oh well. They were snappy and fun. Today wasn't a real test for them tough - it was too nice! Had to get home early so left around 12:30 looked for you guys in the lot to finally meet, but the only people tailgating that I saw were parents BBQing for the race team. Someday...

  28. 3rd and final day at sugarbush in the books, arrived at Super bravo at 7:50, 3rd chair up down to heavens gate chair and took that to the top and down jester for a warmup, back up bravo to heavens gate and down organ grinder, once back at the base we headed over to gatehouse to meet up with the rest of our group. We lapped sunrise a few times and the crowds started to get insane at 9:45 so we headed over to Mt Ellen thinking it would be a little less crowded. Mt Ellen was fairly empty for the most part. Spent a good part of the day skiing off the summit quad and the other quad that unloads at the base of that. Can’t remember what trails I did, skied bell to bell today and now I’m feeling it. I tried to track everything with the slopes app but it only registered 7 runs for some reason. All in all it was was a good trip, good weather, good snow.

  31. Just leaving now. Had a great day🙂. Got on the snow around 830. Was ready to throw in the towel after 4 runs. Just couldn’t get it together. Goggles kept steaming up, I was clumsy. Around 930 decided to take a layer off and have a beer. What a difference! Had a great rest of day. They opened Razors and NMDW got to ski lots of bumpy stuff. Leaving now, glad I stayed. 👍👍 kinda day.

  33. Funny to see WF and "small" in the same sentence although I get what you're saying. For me I'll take the vert over the width any day. I like having multiple ways to ski 3k feet or more vert easily; unlike a place like Killington or even Gore where doing a true base to summit run is limited to one trail and basically an inconvenience. I also like standing at one base area, having basically 3 peaks to choose from then filtering back to that same area then choosing another part of the mountain from there. Matter of preference I guess.
