I wouldn’t say I like it, but it’s nice to have someone preheat the toilet seat for you occasionally. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk5 points

I'll record a video of them tomorrow for y'all. The sleepy hollow trail has been closed for over a week so not sure what's up there. Two others are on hold right now per snow report. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

You should leave at 545-6 and give it a try. It’s nice having fresh cord and empty runs...parking close is also nice.2 points

So it looks like Liberty, Rountop, and Whitetail workers took a road trip up to Hunter as they are posting it all over their Instagram accounts. My guess is to try to get people to see what the Peak Pass has to offer. Sort of a smart marketing move I'd say2 points

Just making sure it was sanitized. That toothpaste that took you 2 minutes to pump out was great though. Awesome flavor. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Hey All, I’m back from another fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. I left for night skiing later than I have all season and it was the first time I had to wear shades on the way up for night skiing..I guess my future looks so bright that I have to wear my sunglasses at night. In the house were Atomic Jeff, Shadows and Johnny Law. I had a couple of shadows fries and they were the bomb. Temperatures were in the middle 30s...crowds were light..quad was running no six pack I think they’re getting a part from Slovenia First run was on Paradise was good at first but got really choppy from the middle to home stretch. Lazy was good at the top then choppy middle and the falls was rowdy. Switchback was dark and choppy refrozen crud..I even skied Burma and yeti both were progressive. Probably the shortest session of the year only five runs just wasn’t that good..had a few parking lot beers and peaced our relatively early. I’ll be back Thursday when it will be warmer and better snow. Great sunset from Tuts lane the first run or three.2 points

When my kids were school age, they were dragging me out of bed to ski. My kids and the kid next door would shovel our driveway when it snowed before the sun came up so I could get them on the hill.2 points

They could call it “Taint.” Cause using a Razor in that area is always a Challenge.2 points

It's not so much about laying first track as about maximizing your time on the mountain before the crowds arrive. If you start at 8am, you have 30 more minutes of decent skiing than when you start at 8:30. With that said, sometimes it may be counterproductive to come too early because that fresh cord can be frozen solid, and so waiting a little until it softens up will give you better conditions. And that's especially true during shoulder season when crowds are not an issue.2 points

its funny on here seeing people who dont have kids acting like it is some easy task to get elementary school aged children up and at the mountain for opening2 points

Yes, I’m confused as well. Eaf, did you buy a pass? And if so, why, if you feel you’re being ripped off? And BTW, when I typed Eaf into my phone, it autocorrected into Rag. Thought that was pretty funny2 points

There from about 9-6. Great snow, folks to ski with, amazing tailgating. They do need to get the 6 running again.1 point

The direct to lift happened a few years before the Peak Pass. It was direct to lift like the last 2 years i was there. I think they did the Peak pass thing when they bought hunter. i remember we had discounts to Mt Snow on our pass before that.1 point

Maybe compared to the philly suburb and south jersey crowd that frequent jfbb.1 point

The amount those folks would spend on gas to drive to blue from liberty would offset the extra cost of the peak pass. I get the morality of it, I don’t get the economics of it.1 point

Good luck..I’m not still gonna be there st 1pm especially with the party the next day.1 point

My daughter and I were thinking of entering, and we both said we totally would ski around the jumps! Doesn't look like our schedule will allow for competing, but we, or at least I, might come up to ski Sat. morning and maybe stay to watch a few runs of the comp. I hope they seed teh hell out of everything in celebration of the contest.1 point

Eaf is cool..I’m trying to get salty to hire Eaf as his personal ski coach. He needs to prepare for Verbier.1 point

I wasn’t anticipating great night skiing condition due to the temperatures but still fun getting out1 point

Yeah cause your kids are badass. When I’d go skiing with my dad I’d get first chair without him if he wasn’t ready. I remember once at killington doing a quick superstar lap while he was still booting up.1 point

They should name the bumps so they can have 40 trails for at least a couple weeks. They could call it Razor Burn1 point

I wouldn’t blame the person who hit me. I was also 15 feet from the bottom, not 15 feet from the top. And the slope was moguled to shit, and not smooth cord. So yeah.1 point

How someone gets to your age with such little understanding is beyond me. Life is not about maximizing roi, money itself is nothing more than a tool, a group delusion we all participate in. Its certainly your right to take such an accountants view of buying a pass but ultimatley its something you can't understand and what makes you a shitty skier. Skiing is not about edge angles and turn radius, those things are actually simple. Skiing isnt from the mind but from the soul. You can think all day about laying arcs and nothing happens, it's a doing and like Zen Buddhism says doing and thinking aren't the same thing. To you the lot is a place to get some free meat but for us it's the equivalent of the town square. A place where like minded individuals although different in many ways can come together to have a good time. Other people that ski blue 3 times a week and can talk for five minutes about lower main st. Community, our tribe, now that is pretty rare in this world, infinitely rarer than a thousand bucks So no slightly cheaper access to mtns I already have access to is not worth that community but based on the way you ski that's not something you'll be able to understand. Its passionless, ski by numbers.1 point

Decided to pull the trigger in the Zelda’s. Every shop in town is out of stock. The place I rented them from gave me a really good deal on the demos with skins. At the very least now I can go play around in the snow whenever I want. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk1 point
