Wow, easily the best day of PA skiing I have had this season. Cant believe my daughter Amy made it down this without a spill and went back for a second go on it - wall to wall large soft natural bumps - along with 15 other runs. She love the mashed potatoes and it was a blast. No lines. Nicest lodge facilities of any place in PA (better even than Bear Creek or Big Bear, and this pla e also has terrain worth skiing). Super nice people with a southern feel. Great views. Bluebird afternoon. Well worth checking out. Will post more shots later.5 points

What a Day. I couldn't even post yesterday due to meat coma/slight hangover. Life is good when you get to do this kind of shit with you folks. @enjoralas Thank you 10000x over for sharing your skills with us plebeians. That Brisket walked the line between solid and liquid it was so tender. Truly amazing.5 points

Not the best form for sure, but making it down that, loving every minute, and asking to hit it again is quite an achievement at her age3 points

Lent him my Rossi E88s for a few runs during session 2 because I was taking the Monster 108s out for a spin, and I had been talking to him about needing wider/stiffer when it gets choppy. He said he liked them, but quit after a couple runs. Dude just doesn’t like the crud, lol2 points

No reason they can't run across the snow, which is what the plans are from what I've heard. Just close the trails that are impacted during the 60 minutes.2 points

lol at a ski mountain prioritizing a foot race over actual skiing...sounds like something camelback would do2 points

3/31 is the last day for 18/19 buddy passes because they want everyone else from the closed mountains to pay for a ticket until they close on 4/14.2 points

QFT. They aren't going to talk about closing until other local hill do. Nobody wants to be the first to close.2 points

Blue made snow on 14 trails overnight...when Vail buys blue they won’t waste money like that.2 points

He was one of the many great people who came before my time. When I read old posts I'm amazed at how many people have come and gone on this site. Did you invite Robert2?1 point

Because it’s more work and speed is required to get through it. Salty is frustrating to watch skiing..he gets his speed up a bit and then just kills it at the worst possible time. Somebody didn’t do well in physics class.1 point

I don't know too many places where you can stop people from entering the parking lane...open a champagne bottle with a machete .... Mountain employee gives you extra garbage bags...and food that's on another level .....all PA in a ski resort...... It reminded me of the eighties...Bravo..1 point

This was not of my doing. I took one for the team there. I will return the favor one day to all you fuckers. Might not be this year, might be 2 years from now, but you guys should be on the look out for a banana in the tailpipe. Great day hanging out with all of you weirdos.1 point

In the words of Flossy Carter...on a scale of 1 to 10, today was a major, major, major go (triple major being the highest one can attain). The food was amazing. the skiing was nice, the company was top notch. Not really sure what else to say but today was a very good day.1 point

The Skiing: I skied today two session mid morning and early afternoon. The snow mid morning was ok..was firm and fast a few slow spots where they blew snow early morning. Razors, challenge and switchback were all pretty good as well as nightmare to dreamweaver. Crowds were non existent. Second session there was a lot more sunshine the snow was softened a bit but not like yesterday’s hero snow. The Food: The food today was on point. Bacon, sausage, donuts, eggs and blueberry pancakes to start. A pancake was even made with some of salrys fruit by the foot which is progressive. We had summer sausage and cheese and all kinds of snacks then sausage and peppers and onions, a beef bacon meat weave, chicken, cheesy crab flat bread, pulled pork, brisket..creme brûlée. On and on and on. Was great..had a few mimosas and some beer as well. Who was in the house???? At least 25 people I don’t have time to list out everybody but was a fun PASR day!!1 point

I like Ridge Racer's answer way better. A Blue employee on the lift yesterday said Tuthill corp also makes snow making equipment.1 point

It's not so much about laying first track as about maximizing your time on the mountain before the crowds arrive. If you start at 8am, you have 30 more minutes of decent skiing than when you start at 8:30. With that said, sometimes it may be counterproductive to come too early because that fresh cord can be frozen solid, and so waiting a little until it softens up will give you better conditions. And that's especially true during shoulder season when crowds are not an issue.1 point
