So Carinthia has me craving parks now so I figured I’d hit bear since I’ve seen on their IG this boxzilla. Had no idea what to expect. Conditions were typical spring. Not all too bad. Entire mountain still has covering. Only one real park set up through cascade. They have a decent jump set up at the start. Then you run into the boxzilla. My first chair ride up I saw skiers ride this thing leaning all the way back. Let’s just say it’s pretty hard. Got to like the second rail and bailed off. Overall not a bad end of season run to bear considering how close it is4 points

Our one cemetery inscription guy lives in jersey and he says Pennsy and he’s just a few miles into NJ. Back in college at a frat party I was dancing with some chick and asked where she was from and she said Jersey and I said I’ve never kissed a girl from NJ before and it worked. Has worked like 83% Of the time from age 19-36 lol3 points

I skied a sick line in Alaska in the game Steep 2. Pretty much the same as actually doing it right?2 points

The surfers out in the line up are not that either. And most are uber local to the water. All good. I get the Pennsy mock/hate. There are a lot of things about pennsy (jersey don’t say “PA”) I’m like “ewww” as well. But not to hijack this awesome thread. Murphy just said on the radio he spent so much time calling up jersey folks advocating for legalization today he has run out of people to call and is now dialing folks in pennsy [emoji38]2 points

I took lessons when I first started....I think it helped me avoid a lot of frustration......It's a really fun instrument.....2 points

Pretty much self taught. I took a year of guitar lessons at a local music store to learn the basics and am an entirely self taught on everything else. Oddly my parents strongly pressured both my sisters to take expensive classical lessons on 2 instruments each, which they have not touched in 30 years, while I was the rebel who refused music lessons - and I am the one leading 20 piece ensembles, performing, composing and recording. So I am very skeptical about pressuring kids to take lessons - though mine have seen how much joy I get out of it and have opted for lessons.2 points

Awesome day. Skied from 8:45-3:30. Really fun mountain. Son loved riding gondola for first time. Pretty good conditions although some big slush/ice spots on certain trails. A few trails were fast hard back and some were groomed perfect. A lot of varied conditions. Mash potatoes towArd end of day. Mountain was empty except for a few people and would have been even less people except there was a race. Talked to a lady with a BMR coat on. Her daughter was racing. Spent most of day on intermediate trails. Sleeping bear was the run of the day(snow was groomed perfectly with no ice). The only diamonds that I did were Fairview and Uncas. Not to challenging but a little technical with icy spots. I really liked the mountain and look forward to 10 inches of snow tonight/tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points

Used to listen to them quite a bit, still do occasionally. More into power metal these days.2 points

Pretty much all rain at Blue except on Widowmaker will there will likely need to be avy work done to make sure the unstable snowpack is safe before engaging in whirlybirds through the titty sparkles.2 points

Quick anecdote. Skied my prophets the other night for shits after 31 days on my sick days and I was hating them. Felt like I was stuck in the mud, working harder for turns etc. Loved that ski but not so much anymore. It's amazing how ski technology continues to progress and not necessarily visually. Will always look to upgrade after a few seasons.2 points

When one finds mashed potatoes all over the mountain, one does what any self-respecting PASR would do. No, Doug, not stick my peen in them; I said *self-respecting*. I headed over to the vaunted Widowmaker in search of the blower pow that surely awaits there. Only about shin deep, not up to usual WM standards, but it's tough to be too upset by that considering it's mid-March and was 55 degrees today. Widow actually did have the smoothest batch of taters on the hill so cruised down that with some speed and noticed it was really starting to crust/firm up. Man, that happens quick. Dropped right into Midway down to Lower Main expecting to suddenly be in a minefield of push piles at any moment, but it never really came. In fact, the were both almost as smooth as Widow. If I had the time and the legs, Main St would have been the run to repeat. I don't though, so off to the lodge, secured the new pass. The cashier reminded me to redeem my buddy pass by closing day on 3/31. You're my boy, Blue. See yinz this weekend for Sweet Treat Saturday2 points

Took Sidewinder down and decided to ski the bottom of lazy mile off of that, 1st time I've ever made that move. Sidewinder was nice, in about the same condition as all of the other trails.Maybe a little more cut up than most. Had a few mandatory pops of air wasn't expecting but handled it just fine. Decided to jump on the Burma chair, and wouldn't you know it I'm sharing my 1st lift ride of the night, as some Jerry jumped in with me. Just kidding I'm by myself of course.2 points

I beat all the songs on expert on Guitar Hero 3 except Raining Blood... that's pretty much just as impressive as real guitar.1 point

You don’t understand it’s all about that Merch..you make a little Johnny cash selling the t shirt and CDs but then when somebody wears a Beagles T-shirt they’re a walking ad...I’ve been following the Beagles rise since 2017 and it’s not just about the music it’s a way of Lyfe!!!1 point

Vanessa sounds like an old soul. My friend Steph who’s 30 is like that. Loves Bob Dylan and George Harrison..me I listen to the Trap music that 20 year olds listen to.1 point

If The Beagles would play some Iron Maiden or Killswitch Engage that would be epic.1 point

On Sunday Plattekill is giving free lift tix to anyone with a current season pass to another mt - though if you want to use Blue pass I suggest bringing receipt as there is no year listed on pass.1 point

Ski2Live blue mountains social media coordinator does not proofread. Do you you ski like I do...hope you’re a Jerry lol1 point

Maybe a few snow showers on the backend not accumulating to much. If you want snow hightail it up to northern Vermont. 2 feet plus possible up there with this bomb cyclone. Winds will likely cause lift holds Saturday from the pocono to Maine.1 point

Wow thanks for inviting me and offering to pay for my flight and meal with all those Benjamins. This is sick! Maybe Toast or Atomic will want middle seat.1 point

I had aisle seat for the first time in years on the way back from Jackson hole..it sucks..you get bumped into by everybody with a big butt. Window is the best because you can lean against the window and I very rarely have to pee on a plane.1 point
-
Unlikely. I bet the flight attendant would ask him to vacate his seat like the lift ride the other day that I heard about 😂1 point

Knoebels is the shit. They probably won't let you tailgate in the lot because their lot is essentially a big grassy field surrounded by trees. Place is fantastic.1 point

Dozens. If you invite me to the skifari I'll sit by you on the plane and tell you stories for the entire duration of the flight, including taxiing from and to the gates and during boarding/deplaning.1 point

I skied in Vt this season...without the drive.....so that's gotta count for something....lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point

If i owned Blue, it would be because i have too much money, and just like to ski. There would be no daily ticket sales. Season passes for PASR's in good standing would be $600, others would pay $2000. The 6 fuckers on the lift with me Saturday would pay more, and would most likely have to ski with GSS's maids outfit for at least a few days.1 point
