Root I'm thoroughly jealous man. I'm sitting in the Commodore Barry conference room at this moment pretty much completely zoned out and clearly scrolling on a skiing website.4 points

Wow Salty. There's plenty of good skiing to be had, especially if you drive a few hours north. Doesn't even need to be Vermont. The Catskills are good right now. Mid March is no time to call it a season. There will be plenty of time to bike.3 points

I’ll post my evening edition worth in an attempt to save bandwidth. I arrived at the lower lot around 610pm and it was in the mid 40s under sunny sky’s. Me and NMSki made the executive decision to have a beer while we waited for Johnny law and Atomic Jeff to arrive. On the snow around 640pm and there were only a few dozen people in the house. It was not cost effective for Blue to be open but they did generate some nice goodwill being open and until 9pm at that. Skiing conditions were bad..amoung the worst of the season PARidge would have said it was ok but you can’t polish a turd. Conditions were choppy and not the good kind of chip if you know what I’m saying. Lazy mile was the most pleasent..upper challenge wasn’t bad. Sidewinder, paradise and switchback all rough..I skied 6 runs total then hungout in the lot a little and peaced out early enough for some chic fil A. Despite the conditions being bad I’m glad I was out there.2 points

Oh and got back to NJ in time for dinner. [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro2 points

Couldn’t have asked for a nicer day. Got 27 runs in and conditions were great for most it. Spent most of the day lapping Lazy Mile, Switchback and Main Street. Hard to pick my favorite. Probably done for the season unless I can sneak away to VT in April for a day or two. Gonna be tough with my kids softball schedule ramping up2 points

100% could spend a week at Squaw. Incredibly interesting...and huge. I only skied there 2 days and barely scratched the surface. Mammoth is 4 hours or so away.1 point

Montage is saying 4-6 as their last day. Last time I was there they did have a lot of snow on the north face but not sure how conditions will be1 point

The Ikon pass isn't too popular with locals and regulars, and probably contributes to parking problems since holders will come for half a day or a few hours. Otherwise if I have a $167 day pass I would feel I have to limit the days I ski and ski open to close the days I do go to the mountain.1 point

I think there's still a lot of old, conservative money in the state though.1 point

camelback is claiming they will be open for skiing in april. they have a habit of saying these things and then going back on it, however, props to them for at least considering april opening as opposed to blue mountain, who has spent the past 3 weeks bragging about closing in march with plenty of snow left (but hey, at least the joggers will have snow to run on)1 point

First of all Sunday is five days away any forecasts for that day are with a grain of salt..I doubt they would be closed the day of pond skimming, they already hired the third best Allentown karaoke DJ for live music. Maybe they can change pond skimming to Saturday if the forecast looks too ominous Sunday.1 point

would suck if they close cause of rain on sunday and i have to end the blue season on a saturday night session1 point

If you don't show up, @toast21602 has my permission to ban you until the 2019/2020 ski season starts.1 point

Getting close to finishing out the season, was out for a couple of hours this morning at Jack Frost. In the high 20s when I got there and the slopes were a little crunchy. Coverage is still really good and it warmed up a fair amount as the morning went on. Pretty quiet first thing, but more people were coming in during the morning. Hope to get out next weekend if the resort is still open. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro1 point

But it’s near impossible to convince anti pot people about the merits of marijuana.1 point

Got a late start on the day and was on snow by 11:30-ish. Lots of sun, soft snow, and no crowds: just the way I like it. White lighting was buttery soft and was the run of the day. Recharged with some chili and Guinness, of course. Gonna go back out for a few more slides down WL. Pretty solid day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point
