One less limited pass today. Renewed my pass to see @enjorales work more of his magic on the flat top next year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk5 points

Great ski day at Belle today. Timed the ride home at 2hrs and 58 minutes door to door but that included a stop at Mickey D's for shamrock shakes and a detour on route 940 near pocono pines. Excellent conditions on all trails with sunshine and blue skies. Most of the glades were closed. Cathedral Brook was as well which was a bummer. Everything else was on point though. ROTD was Seneca and Deer Run over the bridge and back to the gondola which is a nice long cruiser for the full 1400 which I don't think was possible before the gondola. Speaking of which we rode it a ton and never with anyone else which was awesome. Plenty of white in the trees and off piste which is of course the opposite of what we have here. Always a nice time at Belle in the spring.3 points

I’ll post my evening edition worth in an attempt to save bandwidth. I arrived at the lower lot around 610pm and it was in the mid 40s under sunny sky’s. Me and NMSki made the executive decision to have a beer while we waited for Johnny law and Atomic Jeff to arrive. On the snow around 640pm and there were only a few dozen people in the house. It was not cost effective for Blue to be open but they did generate some nice goodwill being open and until 9pm at that. Skiing conditions were bad..amoung the worst of the season PARidge would have said it was ok but you can’t polish a turd. Conditions were choppy and not the good kind of chip if you know what I’m saying. Lazy mile was the most pleasent..upper challenge wasn’t bad. Sidewinder, paradise and switchback all rough..I skied 6 runs total then hungout in the lot a little and peaced out early enough for some chic fil A. Despite the conditions being bad I’m glad I was out there.3 points

I only ski up to groomed blacks (or ungroomed blacks with an 'escape hatch' I can traverse out) and I think for Squaw alone a full day or two would be enough for me. But Alpine Meadows is on the same ticket and that is another couple of days. If you ski ungroomed blacks (without even getting into really hairy stuff) you could easily do a full week between the two mountains and barely hit all the major runs. This year might be exceptional since everything was open, no matter how steep or remote. My son who skied other areas around Tahoe on the Epic ski pass was really impressed with both Squaw and Alpine and picked up a Icon pass for next year. They put up a bunch of propane avalanche stations, so the first day we were there after a major dump the previous day we were woken up at 6 by those things going off for a couple of hours.2 points

The current Valley lodge is perfect, along with the parking lot. Watch what you wish for.1 point

The real question is whether Ryan renewed his pass or not? It would be a shame if he didn't get to take part in any more of enjorales' fabulous work.1 point

The Ikon pass allows people to ski more days and more places for less money. It’s a good thing. Locals need tourist dollars.1 point

100% could spend a week at Squaw. Incredibly interesting...and huge. I only skied there 2 days and barely scratched the surface. Mammoth is 4 hours or so away.1 point

Couldn’t have asked for a nicer day. Got 27 runs in and conditions were great for most it. Spent most of the day lapping Lazy Mile, Switchback and Main Street. Hard to pick my favorite. Probably done for the season unless I can sneak away to VT in April for a day or two. Gonna be tough with my kids softball schedule ramping up1 point
