Had a really fun time today. The kids had a blast, and big thanks to everyone for being such good sports with them and showing them a great time in the lot. The kids skied every open run except widow maker, had some frisbee fun in the lot, and came up with some killer nicknames for fellow PASRs. This might be a wrap on my season, if so it was a good way to go out. Much love to everyone that made this season a great one. Hope to maybe drink some beers or ride some bikes over the summer.7 points

Grabbed my free ticket (70 bucks otherwise). First run and immediately went searching for the famed Basslicker. Found it. It's fun but really short. The equivalent of lower sidewinder and not much else. definitely not a double black. Also skied Margie's. Forgot how short the runs are on this side6 points

The bottom lodge looks like a penitentiary in the picture. Nothing says skiing like an Alcatraz looking lodge.3 points

Money talks but I really can't see barb getting rid of this lot scene. She seems like she's all about it on the DL2 points

I don’t think you could have asked for a better closing day. There was a photo on Facebook of transformer box crew from yesterday late afternoon and there must have been 60 people many of them lurkers on here. Wazup Slim..yesterday was cool cause the crews were merged we hungout with Kurt’s crew and the shady bunch and the folks who listen to Grateful Dead. A lot of days this season we were rolling 2 six packs deep...usually on the more low key days I had a few people to ski with and even when I was a one man wolf pack at blue I see a bunch of familiar faces..usually tough to take a piss without somebody asking me about conditions...corner of lazy is soft don’t tell anybody lol. It was a good and long ski season at Blue..Root Friday opening is just such a bonus and downsides were not a lot of terrain the first month of the season and also not much natural snow but we avoided total washouts and there were some nice windows of chalky packed powder and a few spring skiing days..a half dozen sausage Sundays..one machete...and a portable karaoke machine...2 points

Both express lifts at CB opened by noon. 100% of trails open. Conditions better on Stevenson side, with the best of main face being Marge, Rocket & Big Po. Baselisk is a fun trail. Definitely narrower and steeper than lower sidewinder. Wonder if they will ever open the part of the old slide route above it to skiers. Definitely would also be skiable with some snow. No need to save free ticket for next weekend, they said pass holders from other mountains can ski as many times as they like through closing day a week from today.2 points

Your math is abysmal. In reality you paid for the first 8 of your visits, which barely covered December, and then skied for free, you cheapskate! Should be ashamed of yourself.1 point

Probably a double blue..it will take a few ski seasons to figure the nuisances of that run. That’s great will help spread the people out.1 point

Skied Basslick 2 more times. Ski2 live is right. It's narrower than lower sidewinder for sure. You enter it from rocket but it looks like they are working on an entrance from the top that'll include a few more turns. Props to CB for converting the defunct Alpine slide into a ski trail.1 point

Are you at Montage? I can’t believe everybody is so gung hoe about skiing today. Where was everybody yesterday?1 point

Bailey lift takes you to the top right? If so I'm headed to CB. It's either ride a slow lift at CB and pay nothing or ride a slow lift at BB and pay $30 or whatever it is.1 point

Boulder is plan B. Montage is C for me. Gotta ski at least one more day before calling it a season which I'm 98% likely doing after today. Unless something decent is open next weekend.1 point

Disagree. They'd only owe you 8 days if it were an 8 day pass. What they owe you on a season pass is the ability to ski unlimited times during the "season". That's what's advertised. The quantity is contingent upon the passholder. The "season" is contingent upon them; which is why I think people get riled up when they say one thing like "we're open on such and such day", then go back on it.1 point

Pops took a fall on the inside of the turn from Midway to Main. Went off the trail and hit his elbow on something metal. Skied it out, went up, watched pond skin for awhile. Went in and claimed his mug and had a beer. Ugly-skied down Burma to the valley. When he took his jacket off and I finally got a look at it, I knew stitches were in his future. Thought we were done here but they just came in and said they needed to xray his elbow. Trigger warning - pre and post stitches wound pictures in the next post.1 point

I had a window cleaning supply store call me the other day to see if I needed any equipment. I called him back and asked what kind of deal he can get me on a few things. He said they're regular price. Why did you call me then? To tell me your store is open??? Ok.0 points

Update: car decided it didn’t want to have its cold return line anymore or any coolant and decided to puke that all over the middle of an intersection.0 points
