We skied Snowmass yesterday. Was pretty funky snow up high as it was just warm enough to turn the snow into glue. We opted to stick down low and ski the corn, which was smooth and soft. It was pretty flat light at times and overall a meh day. We skied for about 2.5 hours and called it quits. NSJay’s 4 yr old was going to take another lesson today, so we went back to buttermilk, which I wasn’t going to object to. The high today was in the mid 50s in the valley and 40s up high. I ripped a bunch of groomers off of Tiehack while NSJay and his wife cruises around. Buttermilk may be the smallest of the four mountains here, but it’s got awesome groomers, the best views, and no crowds. I skied until noon and then we picked up Jay’s kid after his lesson to take him on his first “big boy” run from the top. He skied Buttermilk top to bottom (about 1900 vert ft) without falling once.

Fished a bit this morning...dropped one fish, caught none and also fell in a snowbank. My friend is running late so I'm on my way to a basin in a few and ill meet him later

Arrived at 845 to sunshine and 40°. Met Root in the lot and we were on the snow at 905. Skied all the trails off Sullivan and then we went over to Stevenson and saw TP4 as we got on the lift. Hit all those trails and came back over for a couple more before I had to leave at 1115. Snow was hard in the shadows to start but softened up to some nice spring snow. Beavers was closed but lapped montezuma area and lower east wall. Ended the day with a few beers. At a brewery in Frisco now

A blue mountain pass holder held up the line and let 3 empty chairs pass so he could get on chair 65 cause it was his 65th birthday. Arguably the most gaper thing I've ever witnessed

The place looks like a carnival plane crashed into the side of a mountain

Super fun morning with mute and tp4. There were probably more Blue refugees there than CB pass holders. Grooming was a little inconsistent compared to Tuesday, but once it softened up it didn't matter. Left at 1130.

Rats, so they are. May have to hit it Sunday. Its depressing season. On bright side girl I have been crushing on and who has been singing with my band some just asked me to date yesterday and then drunk texted me all night. Should make the non ski season much more exciting.

Yeah I bought a 1 day license and I can add extra days if i want. Got on the snow around 10 15. Light crowds and about an inch of fresh. Hitting some stuff off the black mountain lift to warm up.

Picked up some new spring skiing outerwear for a possible impromptu May ski day or spring skiing next year. If you got it, flaunt it!

Waiting at PHL airport now, plane boards around 6. Flying into Denver and then staying in Silverthorne. My buddy from Steamboat is meeting me tomorrow and staying a few days. Plan is Arapahoe basin tomorrow, Copper Friday, and Loveland Saturday. My Saturday night flight home got canceled so I'm staying in Denver Saturday night and heading home on a 9am flight Sunday. I'll try to post pics over the next few days and some reports...probably more pics when I get home as I tend to use my camera instead of the phone if I can

You get to look at the water park from the lift and plan your Root for opening day at camelbeach..maybe go tanning with JFDan and PARidge a few times first so you’re a Golden god on the Flowrider..

Isn’t it cool seeing all the water slides. Mute you should tell Ryan about the mountain coaster and zip line. I heard he likes thrills

Yeah I am gonna try to fish again for a bit later. I'm a total gaper when it comes to trout fishing but it was awesome just being out on the river first thing. Dropped into the lower east wall just to the right of this picture. Not too hard core compared to the other hike to stuff but the snow was great.
