  2. Hey All, I’m heading to Colorado on 4/15 to cap off a fun ski season. I land in Denver around 1130AM and am staying at the Silverthorne days inn..I got a good deal and my last stay at the Silver inn didn’t impress me as its not as nice as where I stay here in the A and they ran out of butter at the free breakfast and jelly on dry bagel is no bueno I might meet up with Barb at Winter Park, probably have a bacon Bloody Mary at the Abasin mid mountain lodge...it will definitely snow..I will definitely be both sweaty and cold in the same run...I’m also thinking of taking an Uber to Breckenridge one night and party rock a little. Any suggestions??? Since some of y’all like pictures here’s a few from my trip last April. Anyway today was the first day I was like fuck yeah I’m off work next week.

  3. So I'm in Tahoe and long story short, a trust worthy fellow I know told me two weeks and you'll hear news about an investor or purchaser at blue. I know of no other details but I don't believe he would be lying but take it with a grain of salt.

  4. @NazarethSkier Jay and I flew Newark to Vail on Saturday arriving about 40 minutes early. We got our car, and hit the road before our flight was even scheduled to arrive. It's a beautiful drive from EGE to Aspen through Glenwood Canyon. We checked in to the Grand Hyatt, got some Big Wrap for lunch, and was on the Gondola by 3pm. Did about 4 runs then it was time for the Ajax Tavern for truffle tries and champagne. I went out for an early run the following day, and then went for a nice breakfast at the Little Nell. We were going to ski Ajax that day in some beautiful sun. We met up with JohnnyStyle for some high speed runs on Ajax's finest groomers. Was a beautiful day to be out on the snow. Yesterday we skied Buttermilk. I love skiing there. It always brings a massive smile to my face. Between the lack of people, the amazing groomers, the rolling terrain, and the amazing views of pyramid peak. I also demo'd some new Kastle MX99s for the day. The first run or so I almost put them back in the car, but after I adjusted to the shorter radius, I was absolutely loving them. Jay tried them as well and instantly loved them. Today we skied Highlands. We went to a local breakfast place to fill up before a tiring day at Highlands as we were going to hike the bowl, in addition to the other leg burning terrain there. On the way back from breakfast Jay suggested we stop in this insanely priced ski shop to see if they had any MX99s for sale as the deal at the place where I had previously purchased Kastles and demo'd the MX99s was mediocre at best. I almost had to ask if the price was accurate that was listed on the ski. They had 2 pairs of 184cm's left, and we bought them both. Jay even bought bindings and had them mounted in 30 minutes so he could ski them today. They're insanely fun skis and will compliment (not replace) my MX98s very well. Highlands has a completely different vibe than every other Aspen resort. It's the JH of Aspen in terms of clientele and terrain. We skied a bunch of woods before finally hiking the bowl. About 1" of cream cheese fell last night really making the surface soft. Had some pizza and a pitcher of beer to finish off the day.

  13. You should. That would be awesome. If I were to do it again, or when we do it again, we will do something similar. Either farm or forrest.

  14. You're a lucky guy. I cant stand when neighbors interrupt my peace and quiet. My goal is to buy a tiny house in the farm lands away from neighbors.

  15. No the BFF the guy you went to Colorado with and shared a steak with in New York City before seeing Bruce Springfield. Nice you’re both damaged goods so will be perfect for each other.

  16. Thanks hope you’re having fun in Tahoe..not much has been happening here. I was at camelback with Root and TP4 on Sunday and we saw Bob the liftee and last night sang Lil ducky freaky Friday with a college babe.

  17. I went to a similar place to the Mint in Steamboat where you make your own steak and I just wanted to relax at the bar so they made the steak for me. Also like $4 extra for a baked potato at the mint..fools and their money.

  23. The problem is most of CB trails are one-third steep-ish part followed by two-thirds runout.

  25. Saturday the 14”3th was slated to be the day we were headed to Killington. Now with Pops out of commission and me not feeling like making the trip solo, I think the family will be flying out of ABE for a whirlwind 3 day blitz of Disney World, lol. From snow to Florida sun, quite the switch in plans

  28. I love the new terrain.. It's 2 minutes from my house so it's a game changer. Can slip out for lunch and make turns which is awesome. I rode it a ton last winter. Hardly anybody there when the front face has a crowd.. Is it a little about intermediate? Maybe.. But I like it... Sucks people died. I know the patroller that was attending on all of them. Sucks for him too.. Some video I took for the AZone people... Overlook - https://youtu.be/dnRDwaNjQfE Twilight - https://youtu.be/l5tu6mJFOmc

  29. Well, since you asked us so nicely...the answer is no. I just got back from a nice few days in Colorado and am more than happy finishing my season with that trip. I guess I'm just not hardcore enough.

  30. There's a good chance I'll be there, but not to ski with you @Ski2Live Live2Ski. You can ski with me if you want tho.

  31. I like skiing enough. Perhaps more than most if not all things in life short of my family. but I will not be attending. I've mentally shifted to off season mode.

  32. For those playing along at home, that like the idea of the lower lot being paved - Just to throw down 1.5"-2" of blacktop on the lot to the right as you enter, and the interior of the lot on the left, inside the already paved ring road, would cost about $300,000. The entire lower lot, $600,000. But thats kind of a waste of money with what Toast mentioned above. They probably wouldnt be able to pull permits to pave unless they improved drainage and grade. Water that falls on blacktop has to go somewhere, and normally water that falls on your lot has to stay on your property, not run off into neighboring properties. Drainage, subgrade, stone, base and top, way, way, way over a million bucks. I guess the next time we are all stuck on the 6, or its moving 10' at a time, or its down for the day, we can at least talk about how kick ass the surface of the parking lot is if they were to pave it over fixing lifts/infrastructure first. .

  33. We skied Snowmass yesterday. Was pretty funky snow up high as it was just warm enough to turn the snow into glue. We opted to stick down low and ski the corn, which was smooth and soft. It was pretty flat light at times and overall a meh day. We skied for about 2.5 hours and called it quits. NSJay’s 4 yr old was going to take another lesson today, so we went back to buttermilk, which I wasn’t going to object to. The high today was in the mid 50s in the valley and 40s up high. I ripped a bunch of groomers off of Tiehack while NSJay and his wife cruises around. Buttermilk may be the smallest of the four mountains here, but it’s got awesome groomers, the best views, and no crowds. I skied until noon and then we picked up Jay’s kid after his lesson to take him on his first “big boy” run from the top. He skied Buttermilk top to bottom (about 1900 vert ft) without falling once.
