I will easily kill a full pot of coffee at home. This is what my next job will be like. go for 8-10 hrs, work, go home and forget about the job. I think something like stocking shelves at the Giant. The after work phone calls, emails and texts are getting less and less glamorous every day. I work with too many people that think nothing about picking up the phone to call me on a Saturday that i have off. I try really hard not to do that to other people. every once and a while you just need to check out from work for a while.

Buy whole beans, good grinder, brew your own. Best flavor by far. Brown-tinged, flavorless water is all landfill-filling K-cups are good for.

Working out of the house, I just brew a carafe first thing, then have it over the course of the morning. I like cinnamon which I add to the coffee grounds, so that during the steeping process the beneficial compounds get released into the coffee. I also add a pinch of salt to knock off some of the bitterness of the dark roast. K-cups are ridiculously expensive, unless someone else is supplying them for you. I just hate the waste in the form of the plastic because you just know the majority of them are not being recycled.

Never been used (last years version). Size XL. Dropped 25+ lbs over off season. Even a belt is not helping me. $200 and they are yours

i miss managing the coffee shop. it was great having a job where it was guaranteed you only worked 8 hours per day, and once that 8 hours was done, you never heard from the job til you showed up the next day for your shift. easy job with little stress as well.

Boots came back in the mail today. Everyone's getting tingly about Thursday-Friday's snow forecast. Gonna be deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep.....hopin for 6-8" on the upper half of the slopes. I'll settle for some mellow meadow skipping if it comes in a little less than that.

it was and wasnt great. it was great because it was an easy job with little stress and unlimited expresso shots. it wasnt great because you dealt with white whine and first world problems of people who make 7 figures annually, but would argue over a 25 cent discrepancy in the bill. also, people with therapy dogs are fucking scum, had to deal with those assholes daily. A THERAPY DOG IS NOT A SERVICE DOG AND IS NOT ALLOWED IN ESTABLISHMENTS THAT SERVE FOOD. watching women covered in diamonds claim the poodle they are pushing around in a stroller is just as important as a blind man's seeing eye dog is fucking offensive. "I ordered a cappucino this morning but got a latte instead. I was soooo fucking pisseed!!!!!"

I like the one about the big time city girl who moved back to the small town to take care of her sick father and run the store. She kept running into a local carpenter who happened to own the coffee shop in town. She loved the coffee shop and when her father got better her big city sass helped revitalize the coffee shop while his small town charm allowed her to be more town to earth and appreciate more than just clawing your way up through corporate America. Two out of three steezys.

i dont grind beans, but i do brew coffee at home. Kcups at work, which i find to be ok, but i would never do kcups at home....i think it equates to like a pound of coffee ends up costing like $40.

If you like the french press you should try an Aero Press. It creates a vacuum and gets all the oils and everything out of the beans. I make fancy coffee (either aeropress or chemex pourover) once or twice a month, but mostly just use a shitty coffee pot with my costco coffee.

Store bought is the best out of those. Wawa is boiling dirty water, dunkin is consistently burnt, starbucks is mediocre. Roasters...The joint, wise bean, lit.

I'm interviewing for a full time bartending position on Monday. Fine dining at the resort, but privately owned. 5-9PM. If I get it, I'll have to quit the groomer job , so, I'll have had a groomer position and never drove a groomer. Moving in the fast lane up here! Dropped off 2 pair of skis to get mounted today.
