So... not new gear, but the second pair of skis I bought. Went into the attic last week and got these out. Thought they may be good when conditions are super slick. I forgot how short they are though, only about up to my nose. And I’m only 5’3”. Any thoughts? I know crappy pics. I got them at Nestor’s in Quakertown 😂. Kinda gives you an idea how old they are.4 points

Salty you seem to be continuously confused. I'll see if I can disable your 'like' button since it seems to be broken. Sorry that it isn't working for you but I'll get that disabled ASAP.3 points

Lol! I went for my renewal after the whole thing happened, and he's still open but Dr. Roman just does administrative stuff and there's a couple other doctors that do the assessment. Wasn't a problem at all like I thought it would be.3 points

My man NM! Hope you had a good summer. Btw, went and saw Dr Roman...pretty sure he got shut down a week after my visit. Lol3 points

Last weekend I ditched everybody and was solo at BB, this weekend I’m bringing my 14 year old to Hunter for the weekend. When they were younger our lives were more scheduled, now it’s a little better.2 points

From watching in the past it looks like they have some materials on site with sponsor logo on them and a box in the middle to write in. You should make one that says something like “Ryan Day skis on RTMs”2 points

Anyone going to Shawnee tomorrow for opening day? 8 trails open and even a high speed lift. Wow! That's like twice as many trails as Blue da True, and you can get up the mountain, like way way faster.1 point

Had 15 or 16 people at slopeside for a party back in September and saved a nice chunk of change because of my pass.1 point

I'm thinking of going tomorrow and using my WNEP card. I would rather go to Shawnee early season than mid season when it's swamped with jerrys1 point

They should at least wait until they get lazy mile open to charge full price. Skiing has always been a rich person sport.1 point

Where is says Buy Discount Tickets in red. It's one of those annoying prepay, limited quantities remaining, nonrefundable deals. I'm undecided and need to think it over for a few hours, since I don't like to commit. By the time I decide the price will probably be $50 and I'll just end up going to Blue the True. I dont like paying much more than $40 to ski in PA.1 point

Revelstoke in BC is pretty new I think. I'm sure there are others, but that's off the top of my head.1 point

Appreciate the heads up...ended up picking up the skis Monday afternoon so I'm good to go. Just praying that they open Sunday.1 point

If anybody cares truBlue ski shop is open 10-4 this weekend..website is saying 9-9 both Saturday and Sunday. I wish they were better with Facebook updates this week to keep people stoked. I’m ready to ski..this has been a long week...seemed easier to go the almost 7 months of my offseason than the last 5 days.1 point

I'll be a scratch this weekend. Never expected to be on the hill this early so I've got plans and tickets to go to Columbus for the Penn State vs Ohio State game. P.S. I'll be more famous than GSS since I'll be at college game day and he only made the local Palmerton news1 point

I employ a confused face only for circumstances in which I'm genuinely confused, such as when Steeze posted that Shawnee has a trail called "Lazy Mile", though Shawnee does not have any such trail; when Toast posted the meme, "Very Affordable Price", even though, in my humble opinion, I disagree that $68 to ski or ride Shawnee's eight trails is a very affordable price; and finally, when Toast threatened to lay down the like button ban hammer because I expressed confusion using the confused face on posts which conclusively and undeniably resulted in legitimate confusion. Going forward, in response to recent criticisms, I can try to remember to thoroughly vet and review my usage of a confused face prior to expressing confusion. If my like button rights are confiscated, I'll file a formal appeal to the Supreme Court of PASR in consultation with JohnnyLaw, Esquire; and/or petition GrilledSteezeSandwich for assistance.0 points
