Hey All, I’m back from a fun Sunday morning session at Blue mountain the true mountain. When I woke up ther was a little ice sheen on my car but the radar didn’t look that bad. Easy drive to blue the true and arrived at like 715..just like yesterday with a temperature of 28 degrees consistent with the last several ski days. In the house were Johnny Law, BenB, Atomic Jeff, MBike Mike, Mrs SnowBunski, Enjorales, Enjorales dad, Ryan, Mute, Matt Edge, TheDude4Bides and many others. Opening bell was a dream..no precipitation and great snow was a western groomer and amazing conditions from 8am until 8:09 am. Shit got loose and rowdy/spicy fast but still some solid runs early. The guns continued to blast on upper Main Street, lazy mile, tuts lane and in the valley. No liftlines to speak of...not many people there although they were selling more tickets than expected considering the weather. Short parking lot session with some PASRs as freezing rain began to fall with more intensity. Perfect temperatures to keep beer cold but not frozen..was a bonus day for sure as it’s before Memorial Day..JADIP

Salty maybe Santa will bring you gorilla tape...that holds up the best especially in extreme weather.

Looks like even Malvern will get some snow too.

Thats nice to see. I wish more than 2 trails were open. I also wish I could skip out on work tomorrow, but I'll save that for when most of the mountain is open and the snow is light like titty sparkles.

I was up as usual and saw the freezing rain area Inbound and it was already sprinkling out here in the sticks, so decided to stay put as I knew it was just gonna be another Groundhog Day. Watched everyone line up on the webcams instead. I felt like GSS watching us out in JH.

First run was worth getting out of bed for. The rest...meh.

Fire on whiteface mountain at the mid mountain lodge....home of the legendary veggie burger. Sad. Thankfully no injuries.

Blue has been doing great with the weather they’ve had. Shadows when are we gonna see you.

Why bring Salty into this?

First run was excellent but then it went to crap super fast, like insanely fast. Super nice to get a day in though when it looked like a wash out. Tomorrow is a mystery, 0 to 60 inches lol

That first two or three empty hammer down runs down Midway / Main Street were worth getting out of bed for. First chance to really let the boys run this season.

To quote Ice Cube..."Today was a good day"...Snow held up pretty well....Parking lot is always entertaining.....

Can’t really complain for November. The last storm didn’t bring much since it was pretty boney to begin with. But my friend and I had warm temps and sunshine, and of course the ever present park winds. Not bad in the trees but once you get back to the parking lot it’s always windy. Group coming up hot on our heels when we stopped to catch our breath. People really fly skinning up, hope that’s me someday. The sketchier or 2 creek crossings. Some guy flew past us and was quickly out of sight. Transitioning. None of my friends or myself are efficient at this yet. I want to try ripping off my skins with the skis still on, today was not the day. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
