Fun day at Eldora today. Did not ski a groomed trail all day so legs are kinda tired. Sunny skies, no wind. And the Indian buffet in Nederland is always tasty after skiing! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk9 points

Hey All, I’m back from my first night session of the season. I arrived at the upper lot at 5:45PM and the temperature was in the mid 30s with strong gusty winds out of the northwest. In the house were Atomic Jeff, matt Edge, MBike Mike, Mrs Snowbunski, TheDude4Bides and GahSkier George. Midway and lower Main Street were primarily sugar piles with a mini spine on midway. Easy out and vista had nice smooth snow for cruising. There were only a handful of people at Blue maybe 75-100 cars total. They say dress for the mountain not for the parking lot. Well the parking lot was cold and I was over dressed and sweating on the hill..I ended up taking 5 laps off the Main Street chair and one off the Vista lift where Matt Edge forgot to keep his tips up at the unload ramp and went ass over teakettle. Then hung out in the lot for about an hour and had a juicy beer. Ski everybody Saturday for upper Main Street and lazy 1.6 kilometers.6 points

Welcome to the official PASR Elk day 2020 thread. Elk day 2019 was one to remember, complete with good company, good skiing, good food, cold beverages and a tour of TLCITW. This year we're looking at mid to late January for Elk day 2020. Let's use this thread to determine who and when. Want to be cognizant of ski trips and such this go 'round to ensure we have the biggest and baddest turn out yet. Who's interested what days work best for people? I believe last year we did a Friday. Do we stick with that?4 points

Just saw on FB they are all open. They were saving the big news for the weekend. Upper main looked like straight marbles but who cares. They'll sell some tickets tomorrow for sure3 points

i dont understand why they cant simply make a post each and every morning about conditions, trails, hours etc.3 points

im now in the habit of checking blue's facebook everytime before i leave, regardless of how perfect the weather was. yesterday afternoon i checked before i left and they hadn't posted about conditions, trail count, or operating hours in days. Facebook is a simple and extremely cheap way to stay in contact with your customers2 points

ok 12/5 - Arrived at like 6PM. Ski bag zipper mostly frozen shut but got it opened enough so that i could wrangle them out one by one, jerry tier mistake. Ghost town. Did some runs. Left. Main highlight was finding out omw back that the only biz open on my way there will make me a hoagie starting at 5:30AM.2 points

Yeah a season pass is the only way to ski a lot or be one of Ski2Lives twins which comes with a few perks like a $5 allowance and 1/2 a cocoa.1 point

Was thinking about taking my girls Sunday morning if it was still 40. Not going to spend 70 for them to lap vista and Lazy Mile. I do have 4th/5th grade pass for one and a 3 pack for the other but I’m not sure if it’s worth burning them. Looks like I’ll be solo.1 point

I said the same about Main Street last week. We've skied on less in the springtime, so what's the difference between then and early season? It's not all that crowded and it would take some of the load off Midway. It's Blue, go figure...1 point

When I was up Thursday morning upper main, tuts and lazy all looked good to go but you can't see all of lazy from the chair. I say even if there is only a skiff open them up. Lazy would be much more interesting then.1 point

Blues social media really sucks. It’s after 1pm on a Friday and no updates about what trails will be open, lift ticket pricing or even some sort of picture to get people stoked.1 point

I have seen your kids ski. Take off your mom googles. "skiing" and "getting down" a trail are 2 different things. This is really good advice.1 point

Heading to CB Tuesday, cannot wait! They just opened Paradise Bowl. Look at these non existent mid week lift lines. (Drool) Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk1 point
