Hey All, I’m back from another fun day at Blue mountain the true mountain. I arrived at the lower lot at like 720am and In the house were Johnny Law, Atomic, Jeff, Indiggio, Mixilplix, Toast, Matt Edge, BenM, JFBB Dan, Enjorales, Enjorales dad, MBike Mike, Nastar Glenn, Tarponhead, Dana, Slim, Bethlehem Ford Guy, Indiggio Son, west Chester homeys and many more. Temperatures were in the teens at the base and 20s near the peak to start under a hazy sky with no wind and a rising sun. First civilian six pack and first run on lazy to the falls which was smooth cord. Second lifteide they closed off crossover to the falls for the race team..boo. Next hour or so was lap after glorious lap of Main Street which was a western groomer...even lower was good and the cord upper left was especially robust..some good cushion for the pushing. One ride up a frozen six pack and the guns were cranking hardcore on Razors Edge..challenge is ready..Razors needs another day or two of snowmaking upper lower had giant whales..I skied one run on paradise and encountered the snowboard team snakes on the middle section which made things spicy..six pack stopped for a few minutes with us on it and also near the front of the line..otherwise seemed to be working ok. Around 940 after 10..maybe 11 runs went to the lot..had a beer and before I had even three sips the bacon was out..then the pork loin..then flatbread..then more pork loin..some steak..shrimp and hot dogs..along with Xmas cookies, little Debbie snacks, more beer, mimosas..more shinshine, portable karaoke machine and more sausage.6 points

Later after most had left that Asian lady returned to the car with the sled and headed back toward the hill with a single ski pole.3 points

Barney’s bumps don’t take up the whole trail. They are easily avoided. I’m far from a bump skier, but I say share the trail.3 points

lol. i saw her leaving the lodge with the sled. Also, was hitting the loft line when you guys were heading for the lot. I yelled 'PAS like and ride'...but no one looked back as you were walking to the lot. Skied with my daughter til about 2. Looked in the lot and didn't see anyone. Some day will connect....1 point

Dammit! Missed the karaoke. Anyone record any of it?1 point

thanks to my somewhat secret Santa, Toast for the wonderful beverage that i could barely get unwrapped. His Christmas gift to everyone else was his karaoke jam of some strange Christmas song, which he was able to really get after. Awesome day today, good crew, good snow, good lot eats.......There should be many more days like today.1 point

That’s a nice red sled. Now I have this song stuck in my head.1 point

I agree 100% imagine if they decided not to have any rails and booters for the Jibbers..get with the program Blue..free market research here..sees some bumps..and for real people on alpinezone from New York and Southern New England come to your mountain when Razors is bumped up..then they post about the fun they had...seed some bumps for the holidays..you can do it..go on YouTube to learn how.1 point

It was indeed remarkable to find a powder covered slope at Hunter. That is why I remarked, and why I skied it 7 times in a row. Helped that it was an unannounced season opening of an ungroomed trail that has gotten over 3 feet of natural snow in the last 2 weeks on top of a snow making assist.1 point

Ummm hello. We're talking about Hunter mountain here...where the snow falls like petals from a flower in the spring time.1 point

I grabbed one of the foldy, bendy maps (love those BTW....best kind of trail map as they dont get all wrinkled and bent up in your pocket...good call on those Blue!) and Barney's Bumps is definitely on it. IDK...not seeding bumps is kind of a big deal as it essentially removes a trail from the official trail count, not to mention what everyone stated above (clinics and what not). While I'm totally on board with Jeff's line of thinking as bumps far from my thing, no "Barney's bumps" is kinda shitty for multiple reasons. I have to think they'll do something.1 point

There's always hope, but knowing Blue Mountain there's very little... I saw they made new trail maps, little foldy-bendy ones that I'm sure @tarponhead would like, since he's into foldy-bendy stuff lately.1 point

The trail map still includes "Barney's Bumps" so maybe there's hope.1 point
