Stuck workin blah blah blah. Will be a while before I’m back up searching for blue water. Anyways, want to say happy holidays to the valley of the misfit crew whose company is something I always enjoy. Best to you and your families! Played this one on wfuv this AM, never heard before. This is for Brendan, Matt and all the other single plankers... (Bumps for Barney’s!!)8 points

Top of Zuma. Beautiful sunny day. Crowds starting to pick up. They are scanning at mid mountain because they said people skinning up are cheating. It is slowing everything down. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk7 points

Not a cloud in the sky for the 9am start. Big time inversion (37F at the top, 28F at the base) to start with a freshly opened Challenge ready to go right from rope drop. In the house were @AtomicSkier @toast21602 @JFskiDan @Benm @Johnny Law @Mixilplix, @JBS, Johnny Law’s “twin” brother, and another one of JLaw’s brothers. Rodney, the other crew in our row, and a couple other regulars. There wasn’t a cookie to be found on Challenge even at 10:30am, but it was rock hard from the get go with only minor holes. The ROTD of the day, and after that first Challenge, the only run I skied the rest of the day, was Main Street. It was sunny, totally empty, and boner doner tits mcgee. Conditions were slightly looser today on Main Street compared to Sunday, but even fewer people. Hard to beat today’s conditions, mild temps, and lack of crowds. The only issue today was a wardrobe malfunction by @toast21602 forcing him to wear a slightly different outfit.5 points

You could also rent skis for a whole season from most ski shops, then you would always have skis with you and not have to visit the rental shop every trip. A good ski shop will rent skis based on your ability and seasonal goals. Also, get a lesson of two this season. The more you ski the better you will become.2 points

Glorious! Fantastic Western groomer like on main (upper and lower). Crowds haven't yet descended. Really noticable inversion... Almost spring like up top. Blowing at the bottom. Awesome morning1 point

Blue has 23 runs open camelback 19 runs that’s my boy blue. Have fun everybody who skis today. My mom is talking about wanting to see Santa waterski on the river here in VA...great I just hope she doesn’t get runover by a reindeer.1 point

Yeah, instead of renting, try demoing. Some of the mountain ski shops will allow you, for a fee, to demo different skis to help you decide on what you might like to own to fit your ability, terrain, style, etc.1 point

A beautiful day! Warmed up fast. Skied from 9-12. Main Street snow was beautiful. Nice to have some new trails open.1 point

Hit the slopes first thing today, the 23rd. Some new slopes were open – Rivershot over on East Mountain. It was in pretty good shape except for the bottom of the last headwall which was a little cut up and icy. It got pretty crowded later on in the morning. They opened Thunderbolt today which had good coverage but a lot of ball bearings on the slope from the grooming. Hopefully, it will be in better condition tomorrow. Exhibition have the full width opened also, and was in pretty good shape. The major problem was they didn’t open the quad chair at the bottom of Thunderbolt, so if you skied Challenge or Thunderbolt you had to go over to the east mountain chair to get back to the top. Since challenge was the slope in the best shape, I spent a lot of time on the slow east mountain lift and traversing over to challenge. The snow started getting a little soft around noon time so I called it a day. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro1 point

Super happy fun morning at Blue....As Ridge said I was surprised to see them fire the guns up around 8:30ish....Did Paradise/Lazy/Main st with Indiggio to start then just did laps on Main st most of the time..pretty much empty for most of them....Lazy got sandy pretty quick....Weather was top notch and the crowds were not bad at all....9 to 11 session....Talked a bit with Ridge in the parking lot....The live karaoke we saw in the lot yesterday was like seeing Halley's Comet...once in a lifetime ....Pretty sure I saw the Pastel Prince rollin in the Bimmer as I was leaving...1 point

Looks like a great day yesterday. Not gonna make it today unfortunately. Wife had some sort of stomach bug and passed it on to me.0 points
