  1. Hey All, I’m back from a fun session at Blue mountain the true mountain. Temperatures were in the 30s with increasing clouds. In the house were Toast, Atomic Jeff, Indiggio, Ryan, Mixilplix, Mute, BenM, Enjorales, BenM, TP4, Schifdawg, JFDan, Bethlehem Ford Guy, Slim, Gary..and many others. First run bypassed the front face for paradise and was good..stiff cord pretty smooth..lazy wasn’t that good and falls was shit..homestretch a sandy pit but they blew a skiff of snow in the valley. Nightmare is now closed and did paraweaver a few times. Main Street was nice solid snow and a little rolly Polly on the bottom half. Did my first and prob last Burma of the season. All of Burma no yeti shit or cutover from midway..I’m not about that Lyfe.. Conditions werent that good today but also not that good...parking lot was fun..rain started falling lightly. Looking like a washout tomorrow but you never know could be a good window of weather. Crowds today were like a normal Friday.. a bit mor then weekday but not as much as a weekend. JADIP

  3. DW and Main st. where pretty good...I didn't even find Challenge all that bad...Falls sucked along with Lazy....Rain let up just enough when I got home to wash all the road dirt/salt off of the car...but I'm sure it will be back on tomorrow.....

  6. In 2014-15 there was no snow until mid January and then LVIA airport ended up receiving 48” the rest of the winter, 60% more than normal.

  8. The grooming on Razor's and Challenge was horrendous. Leaving piles/ridges/ruts on those slopes in particular is not safe at all.

  9. I was told today that the reason BB is only half open is because of algae from the lake clogging the brand new snow making equipment. Also the quad is still not running...

  13. My last run down Challenge was around 9:30ish and you could see small bumps starting to develop...I too thought it would be a little more crowded..A lot of cars rolled into the lot,but the view up the mountain it never looked crowded.. Good time on the mountain today..

  14. Wow! Once the temps came up and the sun hit the slopes, the snow turned hero and it was bumpapalooza across the entire mountain! Slowly the groomer-made disaster bumps turned skiable, but another set formed just outside them which were far more fun to ski. Not being satisfied with the groomer-made crap bumps, we set a single exhausting line from Chute down to almost The Lazy intersection on Main Street, skiers right. By 1:00 pm all of lower MS was bumped up and claiming many a victim. On one run down to the 6-pack, there was a HUGE commotion at the MS/LM intersection, with line 10 SP and a few other BM people all attending to someone lying on the snow. Must have been a pretty spectacular collision, I presume. Rode up the 6 to find both Challenge & Razors headwalls all bumped up. Took a rundown Challenge which was a hoot of spring skiing fun! Legs are totally shot. Definitely the most fun conditions of the season so far!

  16. you cant see it, but i have my surprised face on. And i'm kidding when i say that. Big Boulder has 1/2 of the trails open as of today. That is probably indicative of Vails commitment to the 5 PA resorts.
