Pretty nice to go from worst day of year to one of the best mornings. The first few runs were great but starting to get sugary now. X-ing was a gem, as always, when it snows.

Nice day today. A couple of inches fresh snow, and the sun peaked through a couple of times. Conditions were pretty good all over the mountain. Quad lift still down. They groomed out the whales on Floyd’s, but still need more snow at the intersection of Solitude, Lightning and the top of Floyds. Taken from near the top of where Elevator would be.

100% disagree. Skiing is also about being outdoors, on the mountain with nature. Not inside of a man made structure built on swampland in New Jersey. If he was learning in July then sure.

I think it says something about the quality of this crew that @saltyant drove to blue and didn't even ski just to hang. That right there is how you know you've assembled a real quality group! Hope you're back on skis next weekend Salty!

Nmdw was rotd for sure, the brown out at the top yesterday kept traffic low. Smooth and fast and good grip. The god Damn food though, enjorales is all time pasr. Nobody eats like we do in any ski area parking lot any where. Salty dude no bullshit we do care. Come skiing come hang out, whatever. It was good to see you dude.

Today was shit but the parking lot was good. thanks to @enjoralas for displaying his meat skills. Glad to see @saltyant out there. We’re all a bunch of assholes but we legitimately care about you and were concerned dude! Stay active on this stupid site and ski you next weekend!

NMDW was the ROTD. @JFskiDan and I even managed to get through the gates on their first random opening. It was great seeing @saltyant out there enjoying @enjoralas's meat.

Sorry I missed today with everyone. God bless the person who invented night skiing. Guns are ablaze on razors, razor back, nightmare. Para weaver is good. It's the only thing I've skied so far. Semi sugary on the sides, slick in the middle... Can edge fine though. Fun night so far.

Yes, it was nice to put faces to all the names on here. I will definitely do more visiting with all of you. And yes, conditions today were scary. Only decent run NM to DW. We just kept lapping that until about 1 pm, then I guess the secret was out. Run got crowded, so we called it a day. Skiing again Wednesday.

Hey Everyone, Thank you so much for your advice. I went to Blue Mountain and took the beginner session for $94. It included rentals, a beginners ski lift ticket and a 1.5 hr session. The session was almost a private one. I was a slow learner but I think with some practice I was able to pick things up pretty well. Fell quite a few times on the slope. Post the training session, I was able to go down the training hill slope, make banks and turns. Though I am pretty far away from going on the beginner slopes I want to continue learning and building my skills. Blue Mountain doesn't have a Beginner+ session (something for someone who has already taken the first session). What would you guys recommend. Should I just go to the resort and continue practicing on my own? Let me know. Plan to go again sometime during in the End of January. I kind of liked Blue Mountain. The prices are competitive and the people are nice. Price is a bit important for me so would want to keep it low but not compromising too much on the experience. Thanks again everyone. I love skiing. Hope to be able to conquer some big slopes soon!

We have had some cold days. Sit down before you look at the long range forecast. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again..one of these years we won’t even have a season and we’ll all be driving up to hunter every weekend.

I enjoyed Paradise and dream weaver, they were firm and fast but not too firm, the rest was shit. Got 18 runs in and enjoyed most of them. I heard someone fell off one of the lifts?
