  2. Nothing really to add. Snow was great everywhere. I felt old considering the high numbers of hight school kids. Put in an hour between 4 and 5. First evening skiing in a long time.

  3. Today is good up here. Can’t really find a trail to complain about. All the guns have been turned off and production seems to have been pretty damn good.

  4. What I like about your reports is how spot on they sometimes are, and how they just convey the general mood on the mountain. They don't just mention casually about that trail being ROTD, they get into things like guns roaring, kids piling up from buses, DW being scraped, Paradise spitting out an occasional flock of cautious beginners down the DW or that lift capacity exceeding the amount of open terrain. I kept of thinking the same thing: wow, no lines anywhere, and yet such a crowded feeling on the slopes. I can only add that if you looped the quad you'd see groomers in action and as somebody said on the lift that night: "damn, I wish I had one of those".

  6. Hey All, I’m back from a fun night session at Blue mountain the true mountain. In the house were Atomic Jeff, PARidge, Johnny Law and GahSkier George. Temperatures were in the mid 20s under clear sky’s with light winds..great snowmaking temperatures. The snowmaking cannons were fired up on Razors, Nightmare, lower park and Central Park along with a few random spots. On the snow a few minutes bedore 7 and there were about 15 buses worth of kids or more and the entire lower lodge was lined with bags. Looked like Tijuana during the migrant caravan. First run paraweaver..snow was chalky and scraped off not bad and no root rollers on lower diZzle..The amount of people on homestretch was mad Cypress Hill..insane in the membrane. Lazy mile was crazy mile snow was not bad..falls was pretty nice. Upper Main Street was good..lower not so much..shuttle was slow with snowmaking cannons firing. Maybe lower park for the weekend or maybe they let the whales cure. Challenge was also closed..massive lift capacity and limited terrain...did lazy again and then finished off with a couple more Paraweavers..a lot of Aggro beginners but some short empty stretches as well. Skies a whopping 8 runs total in under an hour and a half then hungout in the lot for an hour. Enjorales cousin was there but he bugged out before beer thirty. Was nice getting a last taste of winter before this weekends tropical heat wave...JADIP

  7. Picked up smith I/O tonight. Thanks to the PASRs for the suggestions. Tried on the 4D googles and I don't see the big deal...but they are meant for snow and not stores so who knows

  8. I love Telluride. The views are spectacular, the skiing is awesome, and getting turnt up at the Gonorrhea Ranch soaking up the sun is fun. Friends of ours have a ski-in/out house in Mountain Village that I can use whenever. I do promise that I will arrange a PASR trip at some point...I know @mbike-ski is interested. If only they were on the IKON pass.

  27. Was out yesterday, skiing river shot, challenge, thunderbolt, and exhibition. Started out on my Rossi 9s’ on River Shot and switched mid day to my experience 88s to get some more speed and bigger turns on the other slopes. With the A lift still not running to the top of Challenge, and with a strong headwind when coming down the connector from East mountain lift, I did a lot of tucking and skating yesterday. To add insult to injury, they don’t have the crossover from the connector trail to challenge open, so you have to go almost to the lift to get on the trail. On the plus side, challenge and exhibition were still fairly pristine and empty when I left around 1 PM. Getting close on Floyds, hope the warm weather this weekend doesn’t set them back to far. I think Vail is keeping them on a pretty short leash. . First picture is the top of Floyd’s.

  29. Nice day today. A couple of inches fresh snow, and the sun peaked through a couple of times. Conditions were pretty good all over the mountain. Quad lift still down. They groomed out the whales on Floyd’s, but still need more snow at the intersection of Solitude, Lightning and the top of Floyds. Taken from near the top of where Elevator would be.
