  1. Fun times! Felt like March skiing today. Definitely won’t wear as many layers tomorrow.

  2. Hey All, I’m back from another fun day at Blue mountain. I arrived before 720am and the temperature was in the middle 40s under overcast sky’s with light winds. In the house were Johnny Law, JFDan, Atomic Jeff, MBike Mike, Toast, Ryan, Mute, Indiggio, Nastar Glenn, Enjorales cousin, Slim, Mixilplix, Keith, Bethlehem ford guy and many others. Today was about excitement...first exciting moment was when we were waiting for the gates to open on the six pack and they said six is not ready so was a shuffle to the quad and i ended up on third chair..first run I did Razors it wasn’t bad but it wasn’t good..just bad grooming..pretty firm. Nightmare to dreamweaver was much better and in later runs there was more cushion for the pushing or some sort of simile between spring snow and fucking a fat chick. Lazy mile was also pretty good and Main Street was mediocre some firm some soft definitely 3D snow. As me and @theprogram4 have discussed we both seem to find money quite frequently. I’ve found a $20 at least 5 times and smaller bills way more and even a $50 on the ground in a bar...well today was my lucky day and I saw a $20 under the 6 pack many times and nobody was going for it so I eventually decided to take off my skis at the top of the falls and walk under the six pack and retrieve the Andrew Jackson. The bill was moist like my taint. By the time I was at the bottom the rest of the PASRs were posing for pictures with the marketing department and winning cool stuff like chapstick. Also of excitement was some darshnozzle who was butthurt that Johnny Law passed him...wait till he’s passed by a pack of 6-7 PASRs..I hungout in the lot for about an hour and a half and now back in the A..have to go into work in an hour and make more money moves..not often I leave for blue with zero dollars and return with a fresh moist $20..bling bling all up in this thing. It’s now in the 60s..ski everybody tomorrow.

  3. Wow they don’t mess around at these women’s clinics. Skied bell to bell with a short break for lunch. I was able to take my phone out once super quick for a few pics. It they really keep you moving. 3 different instructors said they didn’t like the way my boots fit and after the lesson had me go to the boot doctor near the mountain. The guy was flabbergasted that I had a full size too small. Told him that’s what the boot guy in Boulder does. He is keeping the boots overnight and gonna try and stretch the plastic. We shall see tomorrow. But my feet were absolutely killing me after skiing all day. So if his adjustment doesn’t work I may have to bite the bullet and just buy a new pair. Which sucks cause I just got these last season. But the instructors said the boots were affecting my form so guess maybe I have to. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  8. Ya snooze, ya lose! Guy stopped and didn’t take 1st chair, so I did! Bumps softened up later in the morning, but many of them are down to the dirt. Heard that groomers say there’s no enough snow to reset them. Talk about lazy! There were still the odd dollar bills under the 6 as well as the credit card, when I left. While in the lot for lunch break, WFMZ’s Irene Snyder strolled by on her way to pick up her bag from the car. I think she was taken aback by our group... www.wfmz.com/tncms/asset/editorial/7a27ef0e-34c7-11ea-a083-97170f6b0ee8

  11. i was literally talking to a PASR (i forget who) like 3 weeks ago that I am over due to find money on the ground. I have found 3 $50 bills in my life, and countless $20's. on the lift with that same PASR, i saw the kid in front of us drop 2 $10 bills. I said I'll do the right thing and give them 1 run to get them, if not, they are fair game. Going back up the lift i saw the kid getting them, took them forever to get to them and I could have easily gotten them, walked back, and strapped back in. however, racing down the mountain to get $20 before kids did would have been pretty low. i havent found anything more than $1 since me and matt edge found $60 on switchback 2 or 3 years ago

  13. Skiing in 47 different snow conditions repeatedly and being competent in them is something that takes decades

  16. I love Telluride. The views are spectacular, the skiing is awesome, and getting turnt up at the Gonorrhea Ranch soaking up the sun is fun. Friends of ours have a ski-in/out house in Mountain Village that I can use whenever. I do promise that I will arrange a PASR trip at some point...I know @mbike-ski is interested. If only they were on the IKON pass.

  18. I like to do nice GS carved turns on the flats using the speed built up off the head walls also. At its best, challenge glade is by far the best section of Jack Frost IMHO. You can ski among the trees from the edge of the trail pretty far back to the right, all the way down to the right of the race shack and out just before the east mountain lift. And about halfway down, there is a crossover going under the east mountain chair and out onto the run out from Rivershot, but that needs a couple of feet of snow. There is an old pipeline cleared path a ways in to the right that doesn’t need as much cover to make it runnable, but it is kind of narrow. Some people were on it last week, but I suspect the few inches of snow we had just hid the rocks. But if there is enough snow, the whole area from the trail edge to that path and beyond is skiable. Between the bumps on the head walls and weaving in and out of the trees on the flats you can get the adrenaline going pretty good.

  21. I understand what they’re trying to do. It’s just not the same as being outside, with conditions that can vary daily or hourly.

  22. Ouray to Silverton is definitely beautiful. First time I did that drive was on the back of the motorcycle and was blown away. And Doug I have only been to Durango once and was not impressed. But it was at the end of a week long motorcycle trip and I was kinda cranky. After 6 days of cool summer mountain temps we rolled into Durango and it was 90 degrees. 23. Picked up smith I/O tonight. Thanks to the PASRs for the suggestions. Tried on the 4D googles and I don't see the big deal...but they are meant for snow and not stores so who knows

  24. I love the drive from Denver but it's long, full of mule deer though. Telluride is so god Damn cool, only thing more beautiful in the lower 48 is the Silverton to ouray.

  29. The best thing they ever did with Floyds was let it bump up. And that was 10 years ago for like a week. @C1erArt, whats the off trail stuff like these days? I went back to JF once about 3 years ago, not much going on off trail, and i got bored pretty quick. It was great about 7-8 years ago, but i saw a decline in that stuff to where i was cleaning out the E-glade to make it skiable.

  30. Nothing really to add. Snow was great everywhere. I felt old considering the high numbers of hight school kids. Put in an hour between 4 and 5. First evening skiing in a long time.
